Percy is solid proof that being ridiculously Lawful Good doesn’t mean a character has to be unlikeable. She is sweet and funny and genuinely charismatic. Her rendition of “O Danny Boy” was just amazing to watch.
"The pipes... the pipes are calling." I can't even say she was off-key because I'm pretty sure there was no tonality in her voice at all.
She’s a good person but she’s also been an antagonist to literally every character in the series except Prison of Plastic characters, Yoomtah, and Molly’s Dad.
God I LOVE percy. She is my favorite character because she is well percy.
I love Percy
oh danny boy the pipes the pipes are calling.. how beautiful (and monotone)
Ransey and Percy in a nutshell:
Percy does random stuff in the tone of a straight guy
Ramsey does mundane stuff in the tone of a funny guy
The Funny Guy & Straight Man dynamic, but who’s who is kinda flipped.
That's a great point
As a comment on another video said:
Percy is just as irresponsible as everyone else, but she carries herself so well you don't notice it.
Basically yeah. *Takes another sip from pine cone.*
Funny too that Ramsay just so happens to be pretending to be a Mundie at the time
Molly also helped soothe Mera's pain just before they were about to me taken away to jail. Even if the effect will only last for a little while. This is after everything Mera did in the museum. So one extra Neutral Good for her.
oh shoot!! you're right!! I totally forgot!~ dangit!!!
@@TheLoadingCrew
Whoops.
Nice catch. Firm neutral good right there.
@@TheLoadingCrew Hey loading crew! For some reason the epithet erased rulebook was deleted, do you mind replacing it with a new link?
@@KolaWisp it was deleted most likely by Jello, who is working on a full Epithet TTRPG book thanks to kickstarter stretch goals. Hes refining the original google doc rules to flow better and be a bit more understandable.
I know this was a year ago by now but still lol
I feel like Percy would get major depression if she saw her place on the wheel.
ONE SINGULAR POINT AWAY FROM MAX LAWFUL GOOD.
I- the thought of that absolutely breaks my heart how dare you😂
Molly is on a pretty obvious crawl towards chaotic good because her only positive influence is Giovanni.
It is funny how villains cam be positive influences, a LOT of the time
@@alexgreer6336 Can you really call Giovanni a villain, considering the fact that he's a chaotic good soft boy that just wants friends.
@@turtlelord8021 Fair
Kinda hard not to lean more towards Chaotic Good when Molly has had it so hard in her life, where the law refuses to help her and so does her family. All she has are her friends and her Epithet, but we've clearly seen from the show alone that that sometimes isn't enough.
@@turtlelord8021 He’s a villain in terms of name, but villains and antagonists don’t always need to be evil. Although he definitely wouldn’t be classed as a stereotypical villain for sure
I’d honestly put Indus in neutral good because his morality is honestly just “What Mera tells me”
I'd argue in favor of Lawful Neutral or Lawful Good because while he does just go along with what Mera tells him to do, Indus has a strong sense of honor and is willing to compromise himself for a fair fight despite his overwhelming strength that can one-shot average enemies in the first arc.
Raymond Beukeboom that’s also a fair assessment, it would be my second choice
@@raymondbeukeboom6666 His unbreakable honor is why he follows Mera in the first place.
@@raymondbeukeboom6666 Exactly. We clearly see where his priorities are when Molly and Giovanni trick Indus into letting them out; he puts his honor and concern over Mera's safety above Mera's orders. So he's more "Good" than "Lawful".
Lawful neutral, because he obeys what mera says strictly and his honor code, even if the things he does are morally grey
Indus is basically Kronk. And, I mean, who would've blamed him? Kronk is the perfect character.
Kronk is the perfect man, Indus is Kronk yet somehow dumber and still smarter.
@@potahtwah9591 I would argue Kronk is smarter since he's a squirrel scout, and can do taxes.
@@RaulDiaz-mp8ms Can he? I admit it's been a hot minute since I watched emporers or Kronks new groove.
He reminds me a lot of Reinhardt in overwatch, although he's more like overconfident than dumb.
Oh yeah, it's all coming together
Percy is so much of a straight man that she comes back around to being goofy, hence Ramsey (my favourite) as the straight man.
Yeaaaaah Ramsey is that guy in the DnD group trying to move everyone to where the DM wants them to go and just being baffled by everyones actions. I mean seriously I live in the Northwest I have never managed to "milk the cone" in my life
*NEVER* say those words, ever again.
Just, don't.
Wait you can actually milk the cone-
Zora is great because she really wats to think of herself as Lawful Evil and is obsessed with putting down rules "to keep it fair" and then quickly abadons them as soon as their no longer convenient. Even when she does admit to beraxing the rules she still keep the amulet rather than loosing both the amulet and Ramsay as they agree on. PLus most of her rules really only serve to scare her quarries rather than actually make the fight even like she claims. Neutral Evil who's convinced herself she's lawful.
That seems to describe Bliss Ocean as a whole. They're apparently a mundie group that wants to destroy epithets, but they have no problem using them excessively and promoting people with strong powers.
I agree, at first it seems like lawful evil with how they try to play fair and have a monologue about how things should be fair and skill based, then in the duel she uses her epithet and tries to murder them, breaking their own rules and then deciding “let’s call it a draw” so it seems like the lawful part is just for when it’s convenient
@@voidboi2831 Eh. Not really. Lawful Evil means you use rules and laws to your own advantage, not that you're devoted to upholding the law. Lawful Good obeys "the spirit of the law", Lawful Neutral obeys "the letter of the law", and lawful evil bends the law to work for them.
Zora is definitely leaning neutral evil, but her word clearly means *something* to her, no matter how hypocritical she is about keeping it or she wouldn't have offered the draw to begin with. And it's not like she resorted to breaking her own rules when it looked like she was going to lose, or she always planned on breaking her own rules. She did so while emotionally charged and clearly regretted doing so afterwards.
Percy made a corner out off a circle chart. Somehow that’s even more Lawful Good.
I would say Ramsey is more of the “follow” character of the western arc. We get more insight from him than Percy and he has a much more grounded perspective.
that's fair. but we see Percy travel from the first arc to the next connecting both of them
@@TheLoadingCrew We have the tea scene where Molly passes the mantle to Percy, unintentionally.
I only just realized: Molly Blyndeff - Epithet: "Dumb"
Blind, Deaf, and Dumb.
Gonna be honest, I though that Ramsey was the main charatcer of the second arc. But maybe that's beucase he's just so enjoyable.
They really share the spotlight. I honestly don't think I can put one above the other.
@@devinspencer1678 Honestly, I agree with the, very evenly sharing the spot light thing, and I think thats good, as it's based on, and supposed to be a D&D/table top game. And usually all the players should equally be the main character sharing the spot light.
I'd say they do a pretty good job with this for Giovanni and Molly as well. Though, Molly is a little more akin to the main character.
For this video, I feel like even though Percy is technically more of a POV character, Ramsey gets about as much screen time and is a lot more complex in his alignment, especially compared to Percy, who is the most lawful good character ever, and would have been a better fit to get the more in depth analysis
“in fact, she is the only character with more than one brain cell” this is so painfully correct
I kinda feel like Molly's true neutral since throughout the entire arc she's mostly just trying to go home and just ends up teaming up with whoever she ends up befriending, plus she lies to a police officer and whatnot as well. That's just me though
I have no idea what this show is but I like this channel so I watched the video. Now imagine my shock while playing Darkest Dungeon I hear a little girl say "A real ass Goddamn sword." Needless to say TheLoadingCrew have a warrant out for their arrest for a Manslaughter charge because I am deceased.
"Not only thoughtful but horribly irresponsible" Never had Chaotic good more succinctly described.
I would’ve included mollys chase scene with indus, specifically about how she tried to destroy a dinosaur. Showcasing how she’d destroy property to achieve her goal (or force her opponent by stalling them atleast)
I loved this series so much.
Also Percy and Ramsey are great and Zora's power is great. I love them all
-Worse father in fiction is Heihachi or Relius-
Yujiro Hanma. Although lots of his awfulness is not strictly related to being a father, and more the result of being the Strongest Thing Alive in his setting.
I don't know about Heihachi, but I do know that the only defense I have for Relius Clover is the fact that he knows what he's doing. Martin Blyndeff is so hellishly ignorant to the world that I can't help but hate him for having progressed so much in life.
I am surprised that Ben and two of the other Banzai Blaster's attempt at punching a child together so Ben can get a nickname wasnt mentioned for Evil. Although I guess it also counts for Chaotic Stupid
oh....right....sometimes it's hard to measure everything. I didn't even think of that
I feel like Zora didn’t let them go, she just wasn’t able to use her Epithet after the sun set and figured she couldn’t beat the two of them with just her gun. After all, who ever heard of a sundial that worked after sunset?
Well here's the thing, what if she MADE the sun set by controlling how fast it set? I interpreted that flash before she left as her using her epithet anyways, so who's to say she didn't mess with the sun more than just make it brighter somehow? But she could also not be THAT strong, so what you're saying probably makes more sense.
@@ernestoportillo5136 Spoiler
In anime campaign she controlled the sun, so she was that powerful
@@user-uv6qu3wb5d Spoiler
Yes I am aware of that, I was just trying to be coy about it. Though if you're gonna come out and say it then alright.
@@ernestoportillo5136 oh ok
This is a disgrace! We all know idnus’s alignment is true barrier (barrier barrier.) and anything but is a beefton faced lie. The rest of the video is accurate as I must admit but the sin shall not be forgotten nor shall it be forgiven! 0 out 10 stars!
If we do see more Epithet Erased content I really hope we get a lot more of the characters. Jericho, Charles, and more. Seriously great story and great character from anime campaign.
I found this show while randomly scrolling through Jello’s channel and have not regretted a second of it. Totally going to get the book!
Sylvie and Beefton having the same alignment makes sense… since they’re two sides of a coin.
I would really love to see your take on one of the red vs blue characters at least up until season 13 after which the show just self destructed but it's really one of my favourites and is a classic being one of the first webshows ever and definitely one of the longest running
To be honest I think it was still pretty good up until 15.
16 was pretty bad and didn't make sense, but at the very least 17 managed to salvage it's plot.
The kick starter is doing PHENOMENAL! I hope we hit the ttrpg book stretch goal!
Cant believe you didnt do my favorite character, the bartender,
(Id say hes chaotic, which one i wouldnt know)
Anyway i have been waiting for this episode for a while now and its just as good as id hoped, great work and as funny as always
Seems chaotic neutral for bartender
whilst i imagine it'd be WAYYYY too much to try and cover, seeing you cover D&D campaign characters like Caleb Widogast from Critical Role's Mighty Nein could be awesome
Unfortunately most dnd characters already have established alignments, so there wouldn't be as much a point...
“Am I having an aneurism what is happening?!”
Bless you Ramsay
I said it once and I'll say it again,
Mirra is a fantastically written villain!
Also Percy is best bb wife and I love her
YES AGREED
@@ASONG4MATILDA which part?
to answer your question at the end, I recommend at least watching _Twelve_ by RUclips user PetPyves. It's not excellent, by any means, but it's still pretty good and the protagonist gets quite a bit of character development throughout the series.
also, as an anarchist, percy is the single most fantasy character of this show lmao
to be fair, when there's a 1 in 5 chance that someone has super powers the odds that corrupt cops get to keep being alive goes down *fast*
been waiting for the rest of the characters
Same ,
I've been looking forward to this!
Putting Sylvie in Chaotic Neutral is a tad inaccurate, he's definitely Chaotic Good (more chaotic than good, but still solidly in that category), as while he does whatever he feels like, he always does what he feels is the right thing (he just doesnt care for rules at all). He works for Mera to begin with because he didnt know she was the one in the wrong, and he joins up with the others so willingly because he wants to do the right thing.
Edit: He also gets distraught when he wakes up and sees the damage Beefton did
In terms of indie productions, I would highly recommend looking at the Meta Runner series by Glitch Productions. They've also made some other stuff but Murder Drones just has the pilot and Sunset Paradise kinda requires the context of hundreds of episodes from their other channel SMG4. Meta Runner only really has a few easter eggs relating to SMG4 and the protagonist, Tari, has a version in SMG4. but the two are separate Characters. Meta Runner has plenty to work with and is a project independent from their other works.
I SECOND THIS
"Can you think of more independent shows i can cover?" Ngl, i would love to see a danny decomp D&D alignment video
Spoilers for the video

I fully expected Molly to wind up either Chaotic Good, or at least Neutral Good leaning Chaotic. Given part of her arc involves being able to stand up for herself, and going to bed instead of opening up the shop is about as Chaotic Good as it gets
Just rewatched this after the Giovanni video and having a second go at the Prison of Plastic audiobook (Yes, that's like 20+ hours spent. It's that good. Don't judge me) and makes me really hope that we get a Prison of Plastic video like this one at some point.
Molly's dad is basically Mr. Turner in the later seasons of Fairy Odd Parents...almost at least.
4:18 Actually, "Inbetween neutral and good," would actually mean that your NG/TN. I think you ment to say, "between lawful and netral"
yeah. sorry. messed up my line. that's on me
@@TheLoadingCrew Yeah, and I was initially just listening to the audio. Glad I thought to look at the screen at that point, or I wouldn't have realised you misspoke.
I'd love to see this again but with Prison of Plastic
It's not really an indie series (since it was produced by netflix/dreamworks) but She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is a surprisingly great series with a lot of complex characters.
SUCH a cool mosaic to use!!! Oh gosh it's just hard enough to make out that I need to watch more of these analyses. Well done with that...
You should do Alignment videos on Meggy from SMG4/Sunset Paradise and Tari from Meta Runner
One of the saddest things about only getting books instead of a season 2, is there proubaly can't be another one of these
Dark Star epithet: binary able to create a singular copy on up to two things at a time
I still cannot believe prison of plastic is out and is as good as it is, this shit RULES! AND THE NEXT BOOK IS COMING WITHIN THE NEXT YEARS AND IT'S GONNA HAVE MERA INDUS AND RAMSEY AS PROTAGS!
The funny thing is, it wasn’t until close to the end that I finally figured out why the item is called the arson amulet.
It has nothing to do with the fire. It has to do with Arsene the thief.
Which makes more sense, considering it’s steals, the epithet of others.
Still really want a dedicated Ramsey video but this will do for now.
Any chance you could cover "Murder Drones" pilot? (Day 7)
Huh, never seen this show. Not really my style, but looks good.
@@theworstghost123 W-wait hold on, I d-din`t mean t- *SHOT*
One of my favorite shows online! Everyone should watch it.
I feel like Percy was play on words for the meme Don't Call Me Shirley.
Personally I would have classified Ramsey as the protag of arc 2 since we follow him a lot more, but it makes sense that you chose Percy since she has more of an arc than him.
You should definitely do the dragon prince
His opinion on Molly's dad on being the worst is literally my opinion on him the very 1st episode I watched on Epithet Erased
Fun fact: the Silent but Deadly was, if I'm not mistaken, a nat 13 scene
The POV character is the amulet.
I always felt like Ramsay was more of the main character than Percy.
Ramsay:
Is more involved and allied with Giovanni. As opposed to just wanting to arrest him.
Has been hunted by Zora for a while, and took several measures to protect himself. As opposed to wanting to just arrest her.
And all of that behind Percy's back. Not to mention he keepshis epithet a secret while still supporting the cause. I dunno, the fact that Ramsay is more involved makes me think of him as the follow character.
Last time u checked he had at least 230,000 so glad it's getting more support
This is my favorite portal song
Honestly I would make an argument that Molly's Dad is chaotic evil. He isn't malicious- but he constantly hurts the people around him from his negligence, ignores them, and puts both of his daughters to work despite them being children and take them away from their education while breaking child labor laws.
I feel like Molly makes the jump to neutral good about the end, with that little act of rebellion of "nope! Bedtime!"
Molly's character arc is going from narc to accomplice
One show that didn't get enough love when it was released was LastMan. You can only watch the GOOD English dub on VRV, but it's such an underrated show. I feel like the two main characters Richard and Siri would be really cool!
I just got done watching the giovanni video then i find this was uploaded
An interesting indie show you can do for alignments would be the "Terrain of Magical Expertise" by Kirbopher. One of the first indie animated shows I watched on RUclips.
not gonna Lie Epithet erased has become one of my favorites. I literally made my first OC since into the spider-verse so we know that means something at least, but that not why I love it so much. I love it as much as I do because it takes word play to another level. For example: Say someone thought you most resembled a knight. Well in the awesome world of Epithet erased that basically becomes your power based on how YOU view it. When YOU hear knight what do you think of? The heroic stoic protectors of the castle clad in armor? Or do you think of something else? Here's basically what I asked myself, since I loosely based this OC on me, while making it: What do you think would be the word most likely to be your power? I had to think on this for a while actually until, believe it or not it was when I was taking my pills that the word came to me. Ballistic. Ballistic has multiple meanings including a object who's flight is driven by gravity, over THREE HUNDRED different words that basically me angy, and oh yeah the name of a type of NUKE.....I mean the story writes itself....and so do the attacks and abilities as well because I got so inspire to make this guy I think I accidentally made him OP, but I found a way around that. But the best part? I think I wrote him well enough that he could actually pass off as a official character...maybe....ether way this show got me THAT inspired, can't wait for more.
3:40
I think the worst father in fiction is already taken by FMA
I love Ramsay's speech about golds properties before the team attack! Nat 20 scene indeed.
Percy is assigned cop at birth
I'm going to say the same thing I told my friend when I showed him Epithet Erased: Percy is such a straight man that she becomes the funny man
can we talk about how Molly's dad takes her phone so he can play games on it
13:09 Howie reminds me of a folk hero
*O H*
favorite quote:
"you have to know how to properly MILK the cone".
"NEVER say those words again".
everyone better support the kick starter, i want another epithet season but animated, also percy is what you would call "lawful stupid"
at this point just change the mural for the lawful good corner to percy
I think that zora only stopped because the sun was going down and it sounds like that effects her powers
Great vid! Hope you update this sometime soon now that prison of plastic is out.
“Totally not a Reality Marble….” That just earned an automatic sub from me.
My three favorite characters are Sylvie, Ramsey, and Zora. They're all just too fuuny in different ways.
This show is amazing
and in Prisoner of Plastic, though he has a very minor role, Molly's dad shows how much of a jerk he really is! Does lead to one of the best book endings ever written.
After rewatching epithet erased abd this video i officially belive that Molly is now Giovani’s new daughter
Think we'll see more for prison of plastic? We do get more characters.
I loved this, what a cool idea.
be sure to watch the others ^^ including giovanni
I only just now realized that Molly’s irises look like buttons
I think you should've given her a Chaotic Evil for the psychic damage Percy did when she supped upon Pined Cone.
NEVER say those words again
Not an indie show, but Gunvolt and Copen from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series could be cool to do (Although two new Gunvolt games are coming out in 2022, one January and the other vaguely at some point in 2022, so now may not be the best time to do them)
Giovanny is my Soup Son. And I love him. Ramsey is just vest character. I love him and his golden heart. Per y is a delight and Molly #NeedsProtection
I aggressive adore this show. Both of your videos have been so good. I really enjoyed them.
Loved the video, though I'd have to disagree with your assessment of Indus. He is definitely a really nice guy and will default to being kind and helpful in most situations. However, when push comes to shove, he clearly prioritizes his loyalty to Mera over any sense of morality. While helping steal the Arsene Amulet could be justified as being necessary to cure Mera's condition, there is no excuse for his attempt to abduct Molly, especially after she told him to his face that she didn't want her Epithet stolen. Granted, Indus could easily undergo character development later on, but I can't see his behavior in season 1 as anything except lawful neutral.
wow i watched the Giovanni potage video then only a few hours later there is a part 2!
Thanks 4 the hard work
Fort coolguy makes me cry every time, I LOVE Giovanni.
"Just as a heads up. Molly's dad is the worst."
Anime dads:
No comment, need I explain?
How about doing the main characer of Sinbad from DreamWorks Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas??
I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance you'd do an alignment video for the Epithet Erased Prison of Plastic characters?
fun fact mera salamin can be translated into glass glass. salamin being filipino for glass, mirror, and glasses. idk how useful this is but it is true
Howdy Morning is Chaotic Neutral
