I love my Nunzaans. It's the only boot I've found so far that allows me to wear my true size and not go half size up to account to my wide feet. That said, I've had my eyes on the 719s, so happy to see an early review.
I got a pair of Numzaans 2 weeks ago and have worn them 6 days so far including today. They are just starting to loosen up and become somewhat comfortable or atleast to the point where it doesn't feel like my feet are going to explode at the end of the day lol. I've been wearing them to work averaging about 8 miles of walking a day at work. i threw a pair of thin Jordan 1 insoles in them to add a tiny bit of cushion. The worse part so far has been the heel counter. If I hadn't been wearing moleskin on my heels everyday these boots would have absolutely torn up my heels. I think another 7 days of wear and they should hopefully be broken in. I plan on getting the 719 and actually I would have gotten those instead if I had known about them. Also I got the natural veg tan version and I'll also get the natural veg tan version of the 719s, i just love the look of that leather.
I have the same issue with the heels! My feet are all sorts of messed up so it’s very hard for me to find something that works good. The front of the Numzaans are just about right for me but the back is a little too loose and my heel moves too much and rubs on the heel counter. But if I put a thicker insole I can barely get my foot in and the front becomes way too tight. I’ll keep working on them hopefully I can get it work for me.
I thought the Numzaan and the 719 is the same last. I'm struggling with the two, I'm leaning towards the frog grip Numzaan, sizing up and using your favorite insole. I wish I had more room for my toes in the height. I love the way these look on my feet, and they're tough, a little tough on my feet... ugh
@@CorvetteTrev the normal nunzaan is the same last. But Jim green released the other two pairs of numzaans in bronco and black on the tyre wedge soles and those are on the stc last.
I have the 13.5 Numzaan in veg tan , no tyre wedge, its a frog grip, it feels better out of the box, and i think it looks better. The liner on the 719 is nice, i think the thick suede is a little softer. I'm a 13 on brannock and got a 13.5. I wish the toe height was a smidge taller.@@mandalorianactual1215
Nice breakdown! Is there a significant difference in how the different tongue styles fit around the ankle? Does the numzaan kiltie limit how much they can be tightened? (I have skinny ankles.)
@@mindroverjpc thank you! And honestly, the 719 feel like they give me a tighter fit. I also had skinny ankles and the numzaan’s tongue gets in the way a little. I never fully broke the numzaan’s in, so I can’t say if it improves over time.
Wow you’ve got a lot of boots. How do you find time to break them all in? I started with the standard Rangers and recently got the limited edition horween Rangers. I have the Tire wedge bronco numzaam boots also. I don’t notice the weight too much. I bought them for working. They just took longer to break in being double lasted. I like the 719, but I have wide feet. I know the STC last works for me. I wear the standard African rangers every day. And with shorts in the summer
@@mandalorianactual1215 Jim Green is still awesome though. We can always custom order anything we wanted. I think the standard rangers in the bronco leather would be cool. Jury still out whether I like the leather midsole more than their woven polyester. My year-old standard rangers are like slippers on my feet.
Great review cheers
Good vid man
@@RoseAnvil thank you! Learned from the best.
That tyre wedge is such a nice "not vibram" sole, lil squishier which I'm a huge fan of

❤ the JG custom shop! That bronco brown is some solid stuff. I used the wet wool socks method of breaking in mine

Your sizing advice i think is gonna help a lot! Im a 9 E on the left and a 9 EEE on the right. Hope the 9 1/2 accommodates my width!!
@@StatelineSportsPod I hope so!
BOTH ARE MY F DREAM BOOTS, sorry for shouting

@@CorvetteTrev honestly, go with the 719 and size a half size up if you have an EE or thinner sized foot.

@@jbooh88 I think it was a big mistake on Jim Green’s part to make the 719 in their narrower last and not in a wider one.

@ oh no doubt. I love my JGs. I hope they make the 719 available for a custom order.
