Fully agree that if a company publishes a game to sell either copies or in game purchases, them just full on deleting it out of existence is messed up. I commend you for giving attention to this problem and spread awareness to an audience who might not even know about it despite it having serious implications effecting them on a personal level.

Basically put, people are making their own PSAs about games being always online, even if they're single player. Mainly because the crew just got it's servers shut down by ubisoft, and the people owning the game haven’t been refunded the dosh. TL:DR: they got fucked by mass-scale fraud.
its a movement about protecting consumer rights. This movement sparked when Ubisoft ended support on their game "The Crew", an online racing game. They shut down the servers making it unplayable which is not fair for people who paid for it
