This was just what I need to replace the Alternator on a friends car today. Can 100% confirm his is a 1.6 2005 Focus so not sure what everyone else is going on about.
Although a few things.
- I didn't need to take the wheel off, there's more than enough space to get to the belt simply jacking the car up.
- If you have another spare pair of hands, your friend can remove the belt from the alternator whilst you slacken it so you don't need to take the whole thing off, makes re-installation easier as you don't need to reroute the whole belt around the pulleys and just pop it back onto the Alternator.
2000-2004 models have the 1.6L Zetec. The 05 to 08 has the 2.0L Duratec. The title is misleading to the actual content of the video shown.

The 05 alternator is not in the front it's in the back. Behind the engine mount and below the antifreeze tank
The title is completely wrong. I don't even think they know what car they're working on.
Quick edit but that SE motor is not common at all in older 01-05 focus. Completely useless to most imo.
