Dorian has had one of the best transitions from bodybuilding. Looks like a guy who just keeps fit and stays healthy. Left bodybuilding behind and can reminisce on the glory days with pride and comfort.
Yea but would he have done this is if he wasn't forced to?
He retired because he had multiple injuries and couldn't continue.
He made peace with that but would he have had he not been severely injured?
He might be this mass monster still.
@layney boy LOL what?
What was nonsense?
Oh so you know for a fact that if Dorian wasn't injured multiple times he'd have went down the same path. Ok. Fuck outta here.
Breakneck Flex Wheeler lost a kidney and all his size and still needed to come back and do classic. Dorian has always been a realist when it comes to this. Never did it for attention like 99% of bodybuilders. And this is why he beat the best gene pool we’ve ever seen in bodybuilding. Just like Lee Haney.
Even still...looks like leg is totally shaved and hes pumping that calf through whole interview as it still is a bit freaky......once a bodybuilder always one at least mentally when hes walking around guys that make him look tiny...hes not completely absent of ego..but is a great example of transitioning out of the sport well.
Jay Cutler and Lee Haney also made a great transition , both guys also looks fit and healthy too
Could listen to Dorian non-stop! 💪😁
@Robert Doll is that really a good idea?
I'm with you Bro
Check out the interview on the Joe Rogan show very interest.
Totally agree. He is 100% no bull shit on everything! Total respect for him and he has made a major contribution to the sport and history and body building.
I've got good news for you: use the replay button
Palumbo is the best interviewer in the bodybuilding space
I agree, he is a real asset to the bodybuilding industry. He is great
I agree. Dave is the best and that's why he is also huge motivation to many including me. One day I want to be better than Dave!
IW Grobbelaar he is mister body building and diet but live interviews are not his shtick. He gets lost sometimes. Like with Kai and this one supper hot black chick who won some competition. Live is not Daves thing.
@@Malouco sorry bro, I think maybe you are the one who gets lost? We all follow him without problem...
He’s an absolute disgrace to bodybuilding. Especially with that forehead and pencilled eyebrows
@27:50 _"Maintaining is pretty easy. Just go to your local gym and everyone is maintaining."_ LOL, so true!
Who the hell would dislike this video trols, Dorian Yates is the man and even passed bodybuilding has grown as a human being very inspiring
billy bobb yeaaaaahhh 💪🏻💪🏻
It’s all the guys from his era who got left in the dust.
Excellent interview.
Blows away the boring inty with Kai.
Truly love Dorian's current chapter he's in .
Solid, down to earth, straight to the point. Still intense, yet more in harmony and universal.
What he's doing now. . it's something unlike any other Mr. O (current/former) has ever done.
Bravo!
From The Shadows. . into the Light .
What do you mean "what he's doing now?"
Kai interview went shit bc Dave didn't have anything. I never seen dave lost. He does good written content edited but live he has holes.
@@Malouco Kai Greene does not ever answer a question. This is what made the interview horrible.
I love that!!! From the shadows to the light!! Winningg
"Go to your local gym, most of the guys there are just maintaining"
This is so true. Rarely do you even see people produce a bead of sweat in the gym.
MPaixao and? If that’s what they want to do, try worrying about yourself and not what other people are doing
@@chrisl1209 That's the entire point, they're NOT trying to maintain. They have no muscle to maintain. They are constantly trying to build but INADVERTENTLY simply maintaining their low level of muscle mass due to their lack of effort and intensity.
Something tells me you're one of those people.....
@@chrisl1209 gay
@@Johnjay610 who you? yes... we know.
MPaixao you probably in a CrossFit gym
Thank you for this interview. Dorian is the most dedicated, strong minded and hardest training bodybuilder ever.
Totally. His extremely hard working attitude that made him the best..also essentially ended his career. He couldn't force himself to back off and the injuries started. He already had enough size...but he knew what took to him to the top and it was the only way he knew how to train.
..I used to joke that Lee Haney said, 'Stimulate..don't Annihilate'. But Dorian practiced, 'Stimulate and Annihilate'. hehe Dorian is the the man. Very strong will. He over came the guys with the 'pretty bodies' and genetic gifts like Wheeler and Shawn Ray..through the type of hard work that most people can't even fathom putting themselves through.
Well said...Cheers
Dorian Changed my life in the 90's. I went from being weak to lifting heavier and better than 90% of people training in my hometown. A true Master!
Dorian is a living Legend. What a blessing and honor to be able to have him still amongst us sharing his mindset from when he was Mr. Olympia and before.
Such a humble well spoken person.
Gotta a love him
What’s great about Dorian is how he was his own man and understood how the body works, how every muscle functions and the angles required in the lifting movement, nutrition, diet, sleep, importance of rest, precision spotting, no ego etc ... he was best in all factors. Not often you can say that
Anything with Dorian Yates this guy will be remembered as one of the greatest bodybuilders to ever exist ... 👍
That was the easiest 30 mins bodybuilding interview to listen to ever! Could listen to Dorian Yates all the time. Such a inspiration
Best video by Rx muscle till date!!
22:51 best training advice starts here.
Go away.
The one I've been waiting for...
This guy is so incredibly humble, given how legendary he is in his profession of bodybuilding. It is inspiring to listen to a guy so unchanged by his success.
YES FINALLY. Love the content, heal up Dave!
Thanks Dave, you are a true patriot of Bodybuilding... As for Dorian Yates, I could listen to him all day...
Love it. Thanks for the interview Dave
Really great interview Dave! Asking all the right questions we all want to know about!
DORIAN YAKES IS THE BOSS MAN OF BODYBUILDING HANDS DOWN 👍🏋️♂️💪
Best interview so far, Dorian and Dave Palumbo. Nothing better than listening to two iconic mass monsters share knowledge.
Dorian 92-93 pure perfection...that was bodybuilding - its absolute best!!
Great video, thank you!
I was drawn in to this the entire video and could have watched it for hours! Love Dorians no BS attitude and Dave is as switched on as they come. Two very smart trainers there!!!

Love this ! Ty Dave!!
I just cant get enough! More Dorian Yates please! 😆
I could listen to Dorian all day man! LIVING LEGEND!!
Awesome Dave!!!! Thanks. Long Live the Shadow... Can't Wait to train legs this afternoon!
Thank you Dave !
Lee Haney and Dorian Yates are by far the best interviewees Dave has had. Absolute legends who kept their humilty and have great info to share if you're willing to listen. Thanks Dave.
Great interview with a great couple of guys
Palumbo is a very humble authentic human being.
Great videos Great content.
Great video.
Much respect. Yates got it just in time. Find out in what area-areas that you excel, and put everything into that passion. Simple but brilliant.
Great interview! very motivating to say the least!
Dorians training is on point. I grew up in the late 80’s\90’s and followed Dorian and his principals. It all made sense to me back then and I started to see the results
Great interview
Really a great interview
Dorian and Dave are class acts and they both are what is good about bodybuilding.
Great video
Great interview Dave as per! Btw looking jacked brother!👍💪
What an epic interview.
amazing info
This interview continues to be a great pre-training motivator.
The closing philosophical talk about injuries was the best especially Dorians "Some higher power greater than me felt i needed an injury"
People can hate on Dorian but he put so much into his career and the sport that you can tell he doesn’t care what anyone says, the guy was the epitomy of hardcore and the results say it all, inspirational guy
WHAT A GENIUS
Great interview would love to be a fly on the wall during his heavy training days !
Best interview
Excellent 👍👍👍
good work Dave ! !
Great interview, super quality and Dorian is a GREAT bodybuilder 🤗
I like 💪💪💪💪
Two charismatic, articulate gentlemen
People wish they could have trained with Dorian back in his prime until it comes time to actually train like him lol. Another outta the ballpark interview Dave!
It was cool to see you guys talking👍
Lee Haney always said, 'Stimulate, don't annihilate'. As evident through his high intensity style of training and the muscle/tendon injuries and damage he suffered throughout his career, Dorian seemed to have practiced the principle of, 'Stimulate and Annihilate'. But , he was the best and push himself to the limit to be the best. Much respect.
Crazy shit! The man!
Much respect.
Fantastic. Him and Jay Cutler seem to get it so much. Great balance and strong minds.
When is part 2 out?
You can listen to Dorian all day long never get bored
😱😱😱😳 Dorian is right the negativity, now I'll train using this technic... Amazing I always learn something new 👍
Fantastic Dave..your the best..do you think there will be a muscle cable channel
Great to see these guys moving on productively in their lives, both look fit and healthy (although Dave does look a little strange). Very cool video, always fun to listen to both guys tell old war stories.
@@davidb8625 well said.
Ben Bell he dies his hair. That is all. Dave looks great man.
WOOOOOOOOOOO!!! RX BABY
I love Dorians attitude
Dorian the Legendary 'Shadow' , his knowledge of training for anyone in regard to CNS stimulus through HIT is so profoundly true .
THANKS :D
Excellent💪
I love that Dynamite analogy Dorian used! Haven't heard that one in a long time! Jumbo, WHY CUT BACK!! 😂😂
Wow fantastic
Great great great Dorian Yates my love
👑No.1
Truly the Master Yoda of bodybuilding.
Very intelligent humble man👍
Dorian looks great.. what a man
And he gets the GOOD SATIVA
Dorian has a great personality..!!!!
23:39 pure wisdom
Dorian is so different then he use to be. He is a great guy and only a few people knew it because he never really talked when he was the Champ. I have learned a lot from him in recent videos. The guys is intelligent as fuck.
Lets goooo
Legend
Look at Dorian Calves still jacked
@Robert Doll you like saying that don't you. Got sucking on the mind eh!
So much of calf décollement is genetic, I seem to recall Chris Dickerson saying that his brother's calves were as good as his, and he didn't train. But Dorian's are still good, yes ! I think he does a lot of hiking ...
layney boy there’s always one lol
dog chem 🤣🤣🤣👍🏽
Only calves.... nothing more 😂
I remember that blood/hgh rumor, as well as the dialysis rumor back in '96/97.
is part 2 ever coming out?
Dave been hitting the weights for his interview
Now this is a guy I could listen to.
What a guy!!! Up there with the very elite BB'ers of all time! Maybe ever!
Would love to see Lee and Dorian on the same panel just to hear their stories would be great!
Brilliant the shadow is number 1 💪
I want to read his book
Dorian and Jay Cutler are two of the best guys to listen to, especially when they are interviewed by Dave.
good, I like it more when they talk about mike metzner and strictly about HIT training
