Ron was not a bumbling Weasley. They made him into that in the movies. He was different in the books. Eventually he became an Auror which is not small feat.
It was very interesting and I agree that Ron was an integral part the trio. He had both “book smarts” and so called “street smarts.”
I think the movie slandered him way too much. They gave all his good moments to Hermonie in the movies.
All because the stupid guy in charge of the movie was obsessed with her character.
And lets not forget the catastrophic failure experenced by the person who attempted to use Ron's wand against him.
One of my favorite parts was when Ron realized the House Elves of Hogwarts, who were magically bound to the castle had to be given permission to evacuate.
He suggested this to Hemione not because he wanted to impress her, but because he was concerned for the safety of the house elves. And of course Hermione *WAS* impressed.
No matter what my Ronnie will always b # 1 to me, I luv da fact that he's good natured,kind and not afraid to step up if needed!❤❤❤
I think Ron's sacrifice in the Transfigured chess match in "The Sorcerer's Stone" foreshadows Albus Dumbledore's sacrifice in "The Half-Blood Prince" and Voldemort is the White King and Dumbledore is the Black knight (The Half-Blood Prince), Hagrid is the queen side Black bishop, Neville Longbottom is the king side Black bishop(The Deathly Hallows) and Ginny Weasley is the queen-side Black rook(The Order of the Phoenix) Believe it or not but the Black Queen has always been Professor Minerva McGonagall and the Black King is Hogwarts itself and the brain of it is the Sorting Hat(sounds silly I know; but, hasn't the whole Harry Potter series been one immensely gargantuan game of wizard chess all along?[I am not sure that the author herself had realized this in all the years she wrote the series]).
If Ron's old wand had worked properly and unbroken in his second year, Ron and his sister's and his best friends' fates would be sealed instead of Lockhart's.
There is a super Carlin Brothers episode that they did of how Ron has an sense of either intuition or he is part divination in him that he's able to detect when dangers coming. He has this ability to see when other people can't as far as opportunity when he was playing chest.
Ron was not school smart. But he was smart in real world realization.
And the duo of Harry and Hermione suffered when Ron left them. They were always better as a trio.
