James could not have been the secret keeper. They would need a way to reach the Potters in case of emergency. A lot of people believe Voldemort chose to attack the Potters. I think it more likely that Voldemort planed to kill Harry and Nevil, as the prophecy could be applied to both. Unless Dumbledore was a moron, he would have put both the Potters and the Longbottoms into hiding. Voldemort chose to attack the Potters simply because he learned their location first.

This is wrong. The secret can be known, only to the secret keeper, and those who are told by the secret keeper. Others may know the secret, but they can't reveal the secret.

Lily Potter's protection was invoked not just because she died to save Harry, but because she _chose_ to die to save Harry, having been given the option to live. Harry did the same thing in the Forbidden Forest when he faced Voldemort unarmed, even though he had a wand on his person at the time. He could have chosen not to face Voldemort; he could have chosen to fight, but instead he willingly allowed himself to be killed; the alternative being Voldemort's killing of "every man, woman, and child" who got in his way; thus, Harry conferred upon those people the same protection.

It's kinda hard to feel bad for the elves.... They've been said to actual enjoy their life of service whether it's bad or nice treatment. I'm the books the elves in Hogwarts hated Hermione because she was trying to"get them rights and freedom" there was one Elf who straight up became an alcoholic because she was free. Dobby is the only elf who expressed the need for freedom and other elves looked at him like an outcast.

Maybe using magic on eyes is just too risky or complex? Or that eyes do tend to change, like worsening or shifting prescriptions....and the spells/magic is permanent in altercation, so it wouldn't be an ideal match to use?

HBP was a great film. However I didn’t like the idea of Harry at the train station, I would’ve preferred him to have stayed with the Dursleys and have the scene in the book where Dumbledore collects him from there and scolds the Dursleys for their mistreatment of Harry

The backstory of Nagini come from Indonesia folklore, Nagini-Naga Geni (from Indonesia). It explain that Naga Geni is a princess that can transform to a dragon (from Indonesia folklore). JK Rowling already explain that this characters inspired from that folklore. There is one actress from Indonesia that actually get cast offer for Nagini (later she know after the casting over) but she already refuse because some circumstances.

Whomever chose to end movie 7 like it ended, (from the courtyard scene to the end), and completely omit Dumbledore’s funeral completely ruined the entire series of movies!

My thinking is that Peter Pettigrew broke the Fidelius Charm when he gave the information to Voldemort.

I have to reread the Harry Potter books because I don't recall any of this

I've a thought, I'm thinking that Sirius Black as Harry's Godfather would have been able to find Harry on the Death of James and Lily. The magic that tied Sirius to Harry could have negated the Fidelius charm's effect on Black. He met Hagrid outside the house and was able to tel Hagrid where the house was. Hagrid goes to the Leaky Cauldron and tells two friends who each tell two friends who tell two friends and on and on until nearly everyone in English Wizarding society knew where the place was. Potential evidence of this is the fact that Muggles can't see the place. It's still hidden from anyone who is outside of the community.

Rowling should never have introduced time turners. A time turner is little more than a cheep way to get out of a tight spot.

Not only were those who visited the Potters' home after the attempt to kill Harry violating the terms of a Fidelius Charm, those who went to Bill and Fleur's home, Shell Cottage, couldn't have done so because Bill Weasley himself was the Secret-Keeper for the house, and Dobby took two groups of people there on the word of Ron Weasley, who did know the secret, but who was NOT the Secret-Keeper, making it impossible for him to convey the location to anyone else.

Fun fact, the bridge destruction in HP6 is a huge continuity error seeing as how construction of the millennium bridge started in 1998….two years after HP6 is set. Can’t say it’s another bridge because visually we can see what bridge it is

Keep in mind. The film and the book are not the same story. They are two different stories and should never be considered as parts of the same universe. The Forbidden Planet is a movie made in the 50's. It's sci-fi, but the movie is based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.

My favorite movie moment that was not in the books is Harry’s mic drop moment in Order of the Phoenix when he responds to Umbridge’s plea to tell the centaurs that she means them no harm. “I must not tell lies.”

Well stated. I'm still somewhat a purist. Every film adaptation of books I've read has had more disappointment than success. I can understand the limitations of film vs/ imagination, but at times it's unbearable. The film adaptation of Les Miserables was unbearable to me. What was done to Starship Troopers was in my opinion, criminal. I look forward to someday, a film maker having the courage to stay true to source material even if it makes a film over long or broken into multiple parts. If the story is good, film goers will sit through it AND enjoy it. Nothing out there convinces me that 90 to 120 minutes is the limit for an audiences' attention span. Nothing. Except bad writing.

Within Hogwarts a portkey can be used to travel immediately out of the castle. Dumbledore used one to move the Weasley kids and Harry to the hospital where mr. Wealeys was treated for the attack by Nagini.
