I've been doing digital art for 16 years but haven't tried out animation completely yet. The way you use CSP makes it look easy but the few times I tried to do it I was like "uh... now what?" even though I've already seen videos waaay more basic than this one. I have a HUGE respect for animators and comic/manga artists, I only do a single illustration and that's it but you guys have to do a lot of high quality drawings and illustrations for only ONE animation or page, man that's difficult... hats off
tbh clip studio is pretty hard, the animation part is probably the easiest.
I learned so many things thanks to this video , for example the fact that we can change the color of the paper or drag the canvas to our desired size. Thank you very much again, I hope other people will also see this
😭How am I just finding out clip studio can use keyframes?!?! Game changer!!!! Thank you so much
The organizing by folders option is actually so helpful to know about, thanks!
Thanks so much for this, JP! Really thankful for this
This video is so informative! Managing files using folders is something I didn't know at all. And I didn't know that you could drag multiple audio files on the same layer
Very useful stuff!!!
Wow, learned a lot. Was literally going to start animating and artwork again after being pulled away and start using CSP which I got my hands on a while ago and never properly dived in til recently and quite impressed, so this video was filled with great tips thanks.
I've been trying to find tutorials for how to tween in CSP for weeks now, and this is the first video I've found that explains it in depth, which is why I was still confused until now. THANK YOU.
Thank you for the time you gave to make this video it’s deeply appreciated
Brilliant great tutorial thanks
This is so helpful!! I'm pretty new to CSP and even tough i've already learned how to draw on it sometimes I struggle with animating, so this helps a LOT
as we speak I'm sitting at clip studio about to storyboard my first long-form animation and I am SO GLAD I watched this video first- seeing the frame count tracking feature and the keyframes from your video is going to save me so much time- THANK YOU
Great!
Let's gooo this is so useful. I mean will be when I get to it.
Very helpful Thankyou.
Thanks for this!
Glad I found your channel, I started using clipstudio before they had the animation, part, so I need to catch up, since I was using another animation program. It helps to have some who knows how to use it. Also following your socials too, thanks again.
This was really really helpful
Thank you very much!! This video helped me a lot to learn CSP better.
WHAATT, why have i not seen this video before 😢
Спасибо очень хорошее видео смотрела несколько до и пока это самое короткое и по делу. очень здорово!
Thanks ❤
Omg thank you so much 🥺🥺🥺
This was eye opening I had no idea I could do any of this thank you so much I was working in such tedious way. Is there a way to use the manage files option on an already existing animation profile?
Great Tutorial. One question. Since CDP doesn’t allow you to scrub the audio, how do you get an accurate lip sync? All I’ve been able to find out so far is more like a guess. thanks.
God this was helpful!! I didn't know you could just use a 2D camera to move things around, thats a lot easier!
Also, this wasn't even a part in the video, but I noticed you keep registered colors and pens at the top of your screen, and I didn't even know you could do that! What I usually end up doing when I need to draw in black is literally go to the color bar and find black in my color history, only to realize later that "oops It wasn't actually black it was super dark grey" and then I have to adjust everything, but now I can just keep black at the top without having to hunt for it! Thats so cool! Thanks for showing me even if that wasn't the point of the video! XD
Made it!!!
Thanks so much for this! I really hope they add audio scrubbing in the future. 😭
That and being able to apply effects to entire animation folders rather than frame by frame.
Definitely got some good tips that gonna help me with my current animation project. Do have one question - when you do the "book" to organize the file, how do you export to all as one animation rather than pieces/multiple files?
Something the 2D camera and the multiple files will really help but trying to figure the exporting part...
ty ty ty ty ty ty ty THANK YOU
thanks so much for this! Its so well done and i didnt know any of that! Quick question, is there a wa to change the camera size like you changed the canvas size in the last tip? I always feel like i put the resolution too low, or the space is too wide, etc, etc. I know you showed how to animate changing the camera size but i just wanna resize it without animating?
now i found more possible options i have considering i only have the pro version
that is neat; how do you change the camera dimensions though?
Thank you for this! I've learned a lot, however, I desperately wish tutorials included what to do for the ipad version of csp. I can't right click :/
This looks like a great tips video, just have a question: are any of these features restricted by the PRO or the EX modes?
yes, for example how many frames per sec u can animate
Thank you so much for this! I was looking for a feature that would allow me to manage different scenes in 1 organized space for a while, and you are telling me it’s just a little checkbox at the start? Also simply amazed at the fact that you can keyframe panorama camera moves, does it work with other 3D objects?
You can keyfame 3D models to scroll across the screen but that's about it. I think it would be tricky to do much with, but it's definitely a possibility
@@JPArt thanks! That’s all I needed to be frank. It’s absurd to think you can do proper 3D animation in a 2D software. But scrolling is nice too.
what is the yellow interpolation called you didn't mentioned it , skipped that par . That's the yellow thing I have come for, lol.
Do a video on Copying and assign cels, duplicate layer, raster layers and vector layers, it's really confusing
Um for green screen like let's say I want to make a transformation, how do I paste a certain animation background to a selected part of the body, like body in pastel colors while face is normal, and pasting in a background gif or something like that
I have a question please. You mentioned we could expand the canvas however we like and have enough space to work with... But what happens to the blue box that comes with the canvas. As far as I know only animation within that blue box gets exported out... Please I'd be so happy if you or anyone could reply my question
So after the camera has been enabled, how do you create a new frame without it remaining on the new frame? (meaning when you create a new frame, I want to be able to see a blank canvas, not the frame I just finished drawing on.)
What brushes and size of canvas do you use? I'm new and i have a theory that i use it incorrectly
is there an Action panel like Photoshop? duplicating frames takes way longer than. like flash's F6 button
hope you'll upload a video about how to use light table in CSP....😄😄😄
Haha if I can ever figure out how that works I'm sure I will
@@JPArt 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video, it's very interesting!💓
I have tried to make animation but there is something very simple that I don't know how to do... how can I copy and paste a drawing so I don't have to redraw it all the time? the control + c doesn't work and I don't know how to do it.🥺🥺
Haha yeah that can be kind of annoying do to. When you're animating, you can copy + paste a frame the way you'd normally do with a layer, but you then have to make sure the new copied frame is in the right animation folder, and then you have to use the 'specify cells' button to register it on the frame you want.
What if I want to scan in my animation drawings into Clip Studio, and import them into my animation file instead of drawing them in with Clip Studio. Is it possible?
What are the specs on your pc/laptop if I may ask?
I use both, so:
PC: GTX 1060, Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB RAM
Laptop: RTX 2070, Ryzen 7 4800, 16GB RAM
Both are more than powerful enough for things like CSP, though I would like to upgrade my PC at some point soon.
My man is playing xenoblade x music!
I have been looking for an answer to one question for a very long time, how to create a new frame with the contents of the previous one in order to change it later?
If you copy the frame and paste it, it'll show up as a copy in your folder. It doesn't automatically add the copied frame to the timeline, so to do that, you right click the timeline and click the name/number of the copied frame to put it in with your animation. I hope that makes sense!
I'm having trouble with copying a drawing from one frame to another frame. For instance, I've drawn the character on one frame. Instead of redrawing the entire character again on the next, I want to copy it onto the next frame then just slightly move them into place. However, why i try to copy and past the drawing, it only just duplicates the image onto a new layer but that doesn't show up on the timeline for me to make a new frame.
Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have a solution to this so I can save myself the time of redrawing slight movements over again.
I'm having the same problem
Can I draw something by hand then upload it to this software
Yeah, if you use a scanner or take a high quality photograph, you can use the Brightness to Opacity tool in 'edit' to convert a black on white drawing to black line art with a transparent background
Imagine not knowing what a vector layer is HAHAHAHA but for real tho its dark magic
