Hi! I watched this video so many times and just took my practical this week in NC and passed with a 90! Im officially a licensed Nail Technician :)))))) Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
Congratulations! Glad we could help!
Do they supply you with the kit ????
How was the theory exam? Do you know a good site to study for it?
@@emanalmaita7225 You have to purchase a kit when you enroll in a nail manicuring course at a college, for me this kit was around $500.
Congratulations 🎉
I just took my practical exam in Georgia!! I passed with a 95. The only difference with the exam is that at the end for the blood exposure procedure, the instructor didn’t need us to disinfect the table, just do the blood exposure and put a glove or finger clot on it. To anyone who’s nervous, you got this!!!! I was so nervous but there was no need to be. Just make sure to go to a place with good reviews because there are some rude instructors out there. :) Good luck everyone
I will take the test in GA too. Do I have to polish the mannequin hand before the Manicure exam? Please
I moved from FL so GA doesn’t accept my license so I have to take ot again. I don’t go to school in GA so I don’t know anything
I was in that same situation. Yes ga doesn’t accept fl nail license. No you don’t polish the hand. Come with hand already tipped.
Just took my test today in smyrna Ga… I PASSED.. THANK U now I’m a Licensed Nail Tech and Esthetician
and you did everything exactly the same... tell me about how you carried your kit the same or everything in different bags
I had watched this video a week before my test and the day of. I passed with a 84. I am now a licensed Nail Technician 😊❤ thank you so so so much!!!!
Hello 👋🏾 I studied your video for a couple weeks and today I passed my practical! I am in Georgia! Thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
We are so happy to hear that. You're so welcome. We wish you lots of success in your career.
Did you bring a caddy or an actual bag? I live in georgia too.
Also when you removed the sculptured nail did you have to soak off the nail tip that you glued to the hand as well?
Was is similar? I’m in GA and I just registered to take the exam
Nail Tech on Deck❤❤❤💅🏾
Took my practical this morning and passed with a 92! Thanks for putting this together. I can't tell you how many times I watched it, but it was worth every minute!

I watched your video multiple times and I passed with a 94 in MO. Thank you!
I studied/followed only this video and I just passed my exam today here in Virginia!!!💕💕💕 The only difference was the blood exposure part, for VA the prompt is as if the client got an injury, not the technician.
I passed my practical in VA today! Thank you, I am officially licensed.
Do you know if it’s the same for NC. I’m going on the 23rd of this month
Is the same as the video? Did you pass your theory?

Thank you! We’re so happy to hear our schools video is helping so many students!

Thank you so much for everything you taught me when I went to your school to take Nail courses. I am proud to say that you were my Nail Instructor, and I thank the Lord First to let me be one of your students, Then I Thank you for all the dedication you put on me and every Student that attends your School. Theory exam was easy for me to pass because your lecture classes were exactly what I need to know to pass it and to know the "Do's and Don't's" in the Nail Field. Your video is an addition of your passion to teach not only to those who assist your school everyday, but those who are watching around the world. Thank you again, Mr Dan, I am happy to say that I have passed my two Nail Tech exams.
Thank you Jackie! You are so very kind!
It's interesting to see every state has different requirements.

@@sitwithbritt thank you! use this video & don’t be nervous you got this & good luck❤️
I take my test in a couple weeks. I know the removing of the sculptured nail isn’t effective until July 2021 , but for the blood exposure, do I still follow the old way on the fake hand? And do I have to use the finger cot for my test in two weeks?
I take my practical exam in VA in three weeks. Thank you so much for this helpful video!

Thank you Elizabeth. Congratulations!
Thank you for this video! Everything in this video was exactly on the test for Kentucky! I pass with a 95! The only difference was you don’t have to clean up the area for the blood part, just fold the paper to cover the work area.
That’s amazing! We’re so happy to hear that. We wish you much success in your career!
In KY for blood exposure, I don’t see the antibiotic ointment requirement just antiseptic wipe. This video is the one I’m studying for KY too.
Pleseeeeeeees tell me how you pass the written exam part😭 I’m doing nail technician exam and I’m struggling
I'm in KY too. Did you have gloves in your first aid kit or in the bin? Did you clean up everything after the blood exposure?
hello i have a question, can you let me know what is the supply you use for the sculptured nail ( like powder and liquid)? do they come from a package? thank you
I watched this and passed my GA exam. Thank you for this video
Congratulations! Im going to take my practical soon in GA also. Is this video similar to Ga test? Thank U!
Could you post links to purchase the Low oder monomer, polymer and the individually wrapped disinfectant wipes those were difficult to find.
Hey! I passed my practical after studying this video!! Thank you so much. You are great at explaining everything and very thorough.
Congratulations!
Passed in WI. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video❤️ it definitely helped
Hey im in Wisconsin and have a few questions
Was everything the same or did u do something’s differently ? The school I went to did not prep us for state board
Thank you for the video. Excellent!
Hello. I take my practical on May 25. I'm a little nervous but I did really well on my mock practical in school & we watched the same video. I'm ready to knock it out the park 🤗
Hey! Good luck! Glad we could help!
Hey, how did it go? Im going tomorrow
@@keriperry-jones4359 Hi. Honestly it wasn't bad. Just make sure you listen carefully to the proctor instructions. Don't overthink it. Remember how you learned in school & try to keep up with the time. It's long because you're standing up the entire time unless they offer you a stool(i guess it depends on which state you're in). Be confident & breath. Sometimes it may feel like your suffocating because you hear the proctor telling you how many minutes you have left. I hope everything goes well for you. Best wishes!
Hey ACAI, for step 6 after I finish removing all of the powder off the nail do I put away the towel trash and clippers away and clear the area up? or wait until step 7 to pick pick up trash towel etc.?
Do you happen to have a list of everything we need to pack up in the kit? So I can make sure I’m not missing anything
This video is so helpful thank you
Thank you so much for this.
After the third time of using hand sanitizer, you have to wash your hands because the hand sanitizer doesnt work with all the build up of the previous pumps. I learn that in medical school.
I have a question . The small bottle you apply on the cuticle for last time before you finish take off before you come to the part for blood . WHAT NAME IS THAT BOTTLE .? Thanks
I go take my test today at 3pm in Atlanta,Ga .. I feel like this has been extra helpful especially bc I did an apprenticeship! My last test & I will be licensed this year !!
Update! I passed! Thank you so much for this I’m officially licensed!!
Omg congrats!!! i take it there too and im so nervous. was the test exactly like this?
@@awin1235 yes do exactly what he did
I took my exam in WV aug.14 and passed with a 92 your video helped soooo much … Thank you
Excellent! Thank you for you support
Hi ACAI, I’ve been watching Ur video several times as im getting ready for my practical in Ga soon. I just wonder if the acrylic powder or the polymer has to be sealed also or just the monomer has to be sealed? Some of the polymer in the market for state board are not sealed.
Thank U!
Thank you for making this video!
I'm from washington. Passed and this video is gem
Thank you! Glad we could help!
Hi congratulations. I’m from WA. which location did you go ?
So we don't have to wipe down the surface twice? One for pre-cleaning then the 2nd wipe for actual disinfection?
Are you allowed to keep a little bin like that on the table that keeps the supplies all together in NC? Also, the items like buffers, cotton (or swabs) and OW sticks that you use on both clients can they stay out? Or do you have to have a second set of them that comes out of the client number 2 bag? (also NC)
Hello, by chance do u have a video that shows wat items we need for state board and how to pack up our kits.
This video definitely helped me pass my NC practical ❤️ 3/9/22!
Omg. Nc in the house. I take my practical tomorrow. Congrats

Hey thank for your video,
I really appreciate it
Hi! Thank you for this video! I have the same wipes but in the big container/jar being that I couldn’t find them in the individual packs anywhere. Would that still work? & how would I go about using that without getting points deducted since I’d have to reach in & out of my box to disinfect?
Just make sure to sanitize and wear gloves before reaching for the wipes
What type of lotions do you recommend and natural kinds for the massaging part?
Love this video! Is there a video of a list of supplies that will be needed at the test?
By blending the nail tip application, you can use the file forward and backwards, , my practical exam is today
Thank you so much I passed today and yes your video help me a bunch
Congratulations!
this is excellent!!! thank you for sharing!
can you please post a video about all supplies we need to prepare for the test
Did u mention these videos in class lol. Was I sleeping 😴 😂🤣Excellent 💜
Thank you for the vid! I must ask, where did you get your wipes? It's difficult to find wipes in the store that are bactericidal, virucidal, AND fungicidal.
Dollar tree sells them. They are EPA registered
Hello, will the proctor tell us when to remove the polish after the manicure or should we just wait and then take it off and start cleaning up? Also, I read online that everytime you grab something from your kit you have to close it like after each individual thing, is that true? Also, my teacher told us we would have to describe each step of the blood exposure procedure to the proctor is that true as well? I’m in NC
During the exam 5 minutes will be given to remove polish and clean up after the manicure but this will be announced. You’ll only need to close the kit after you’ve taken out what you needed. It’ll be a little awkward if you had to describe each step to the proctor if other students haven’t done theirs yet. You’re basically giving away the answer I would think
@@avalonlifestyle thank you so much for replying!
Great video!
Hi I am living in New York I wonder these preparations can be for every state. I wonder if each state have their own rules or step or not..
So does NC require you to wear googles when applying primer? Does our kit need to be set up like yours?
Great question! No, NC does not require goggles when applying primer if it is a non-acidic primer like ours. Our kit is base on our schools teaching and curriculum. Not all kit must be the same. Hope this helps
Hello I am taking my test next month and I really would like to know are those PDI sani- cloth wipes NC board approved?
Yes
best video out there! 100% thought out i passed with a 89!
Thank you!
@@avalonlifestyle no thank you!!😂
This video helped me pass my practical exam in Virginia today. Thank you so much for such a clear, detailed video.
Thank you and Congratulations!
So we don’t have to have on gloves for the procedure?
so do we need to trim a cuticles too
Great video. Thanks for sharing. The only thing I saw missing in the video was putting on gloves and goggles before priming the natural nail in the sculpture part of the exam. Do you know if that is still a requirement? Also, is there a link for the disinfecting wipes?
Great question. Goggles and gloves are not required when applying primer, but if that is how it was taught at your school then I would continue doing so.
@@avalonlifestyle thanks for the response. I learned the practical from a previous NIC NC video. We were shown that as a means for learning how to do the practical 🤦🏾♀️. Unfortunately, ... I’ll go into detail on my RUclips Channel. Thanks again for this.
I see that question on the written exam here in Ga.
@@nothinbuttthetruth1 hi there, I take my written exam in ga in 2 days do you have any advice also w was it hard and how many questions?

Hello I take my state board next week is it true you have to wear gloves at all time working on your client and also wear a face shield ?
Gloves and face shields are optional on the practical exam.
Does the mannequin hand have a full set already?
I saw you had implements in a small blue bag. Where to find those in stores?
They’re sterilization pouch used in the medical field
I prepped my hand the same way. while I was doing
the polish removal section on my practice hand, the
polish was not coming off easily with pure acetone
around the edge of where i painted. I used OP| base,
red polish, then top coat. When i soaked my cotton ball the polish
came off easy breezy except for the outline of the
polish. I was using brute force to rub it off and took
me like 20 min. (No polish on skin just "nail plate")By
chance do you know why this could happen. I was
thinking maybe i buffed instead of scratched, or
maybe i just over filed trying to create the "nail plate" I
used YN acrylic powder cover bare and even tried a different brand of polish but the same thing kept happening.
it might work better if you use a hard gel (non soak off). Apply it over the faux natural nail so the red polish can't seep into the sides as much. The gel should be more slick and resist staining too
Hi. Would you recommend pure acetone or non acetone for polish removal ?
Pure acetone
