Congrats on your new all-AMD build man! That looks like one heavy-ass card.
Thanks Niko, it is a beast!
Dude, this GPU draws alot of power. I don't recommend connection with a splitter cable.. use individual cables!
Thanls Mac, which one did you get?
@@MatureMindedgamers Also got a 6900xt, but not happy with the performance. I also have a 3090 and its doing much better.
@@Musiclegible damn you got both! Nice.
@@MatureMindedgamers experienced any issues with the split cables after a few months of use?
@@thegraniteduck7956 I need up changing it to 2 different rails to be safe.
Awesome install!! Hopefully i get mines soon
Aww man!!I think i need to step my video card game up after watching this!!DAMN!!
Great video. Wish you showed connecting the cables to PSU even though it does sound easy could’ve helped cause I’m a noob lol
They only fit the video connectors. So you should be good on figuring it out. Also check your PSU manual, and it will give more clarification.
@@MatureMindedgamers yeah I figured it out, I was just being slow 😂 but pc looks great thanks for the video
Did you run two 8 pin pcie connectors from the psu??
First, thanks for making it quick and simple for us new guys. 5 minutes boom done. Second, I just bought the AMD Radeon 6950XT and followed your instructions no problem until the power plugs at the end. Are those universal as far as using my older ones off my existing power supply (FPS Dagger Pro 650w)? If not what should I be looking for to make sure it's not gonna harm the card.
Hey man thanks for video! I just got this card. Can you use two different power cables from gpu to psu or do I need to use the same cord with 2 power ends I think u called them rel
Yes, use 2 different rails if you can. Enjoy the card!
Do I have to pay attention to whether the GPU fits my Motherboard or not? I have that PCIe x16. Those 2 8x pin PCIe come through the power adapter right? I am just wondering if the RX 6800 will fit on my MSI B550-A Pro motherboard...
Yes, it should fit from always double check your case to make sure.
What power supply is that? For most you should not be running the video card off of one line.
I looked for info on that and it seemed like a.mixed bag. Do you have a link?
I did run the second line btw to be safe.
What does he mean by this ? I have my system build besides the 6900XT which I have coming in tomorrow. I have a cable mod kit which replaces all of the original PSU wiring. Can I use my cable mod cables? If so which cable even is it ?
@@kobecaldwell961 Most power supplies have seperate rails you should be running the GPU off. Yes cable mod cables will work, you just need to run 2 from the power supply and not split them.
Hey man I know it’s late but I somehow just came across this and by no means should THIS card be connected via one pcie cable. This can lead to very unstable power supply and sag.
did the 6900XT need some sag support?
No it did not.
i need some help since ill be moving and want to remove my gpu. I have a sapphire 6900xt and can't get it out, is there some clip i need to move or should it just come out. And yes this is after the screws holding it in place have come out
Yes the pcie slot has a small plastic lever you need to slide up to release the card.
What if I only have two 8 pin slots from my PSU and the 6950 xt I got has a third slot?
Not 100% sure, but they do have 4pin molex to 8pin adapters you could get.
Idk if I should get a 3080 or a 6900xt, rn they both the same price.
6900xt no question.
Do you think it's necessary to have liquid refrigeration with this card?
It does run hot, but no.
Hi, where is the power supply unit in your pc cabinet?
Bottom of the case.
Bro I have a doubt how is AMD drivers nowadays bro any issues ? Any stutter issues? Any black screen issues? Please share your experience
Was rocky for the first 3 months, been solid ever since. About to hit the 2 year mark.
@@MatureMindedgamers which driver version you're using bro???? And what games you play????
@@sajithsaji3606 I update to the latest when released. I play a ton of games. Marauders right now is my game. Bf2042, fallout76, Cyberpunk 2077, all ran great.
@@MatureMindedgamers I'm a beginner bro..... my English is not that good so I hope you can understand me..... I'm planning to build my first gaming pc with full AMD r9 7900x and rx 7900xt in 2023 but many persons from RUclips scaring me about AMD drivers that's why I asked you about the drivers :)
Why does my RX 6900 XT has three power port? It has 1 6pin and the other two is the 8pin
You got a beefy after market one I'd guess.
@@MatureMindedgamers I got the Sapphire Nitro+ Rx6900XT Special Edition
@@astudentpilotlife sweet card!
@@MatureMindedgamers but I am not a expert or anything. I am learning new thing everything I take a look at my pc and asking questions at my local custom build pc shop
Not good idea that cable.
I did the other rail, afterward.
@@MatureMindedgamers how do you mean?
Why not good Idea please ? I have same card
Did the card come with the extra power supply pins?
Was trying to remeber, honestly I don't think it did.
