So I made this pancakes several days ago and: 1) They are freaking delicious, it is my favorite breakfast prbbly BUT 2) It takes so much time to make them if you are going to not to cook just for yourself. I cooked each pancake for about 90 seconds under the lid from one side and 90 from the other. So if you need to make these for whole family it takes time. 3) It takes pretty amount ingredients, again, if you are not going to make it just for yourself. Like, I made from 5 yolks and 4 whites only 6-7 pancakes which is 2 persons serves and if you are like me, for one lol So I guess you for two or more serves you will need 10 eggs or more :/

Standard Measurements I used for this recipe: 5 egg yolks 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 - 3/4 cup of flour (not sure) Teaspoon of baking powder Pinch of salt 1 tsp vanilla extract 4 egg whites 1/4 cup sugar - May not be exact, but I used this recipe and it turned out great! :)

The recipe makes 5-6 silver dollar pancakes or 3 large pancakes. Enough pancakes for 1 serving. Standard Measurements: -2.5 egg yolks -3 tablespoons of all purpose flour (not packed) -1/4 tsp baking powder -1/2 tsp of vanilla extract -2 egg whites -2 tbs of sugar (A) -1.5 tbs of sugar (B) Tip: the bottoms of the pancake cook faster, so if you want the inside to be more cooked then only pour in one layer of batter. The pancake will still be fluffy

Fox Spirit this will only happen if you fail to beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and/or you overmixed them into the batter. Try making a soufflé a few times (which does NOT taste like a omelette at all) and try again

so the egg whites are added to the first mix at 1:30, but then i get confused at 1:40 and 1:55, someone help? also, how can i use this with pancake mix? just add the extra ingredients?
NotAName I believe you add the egg whites in stages to help minimize disruption to the peaks, which gives the pancakes the fluffy soufflé-like texture. At the end with probably like a third of the egg whites remaining you add the mixture with the egg yolks and fold in slowly.
I loved that sound of egg yolks mixing with sugar. Oddly satisfying.
