This was an amazing redesign, I love the changes to her hair and their complete outfit overhaul makes her look a lot more like an adventurer in training which is what the show was trying to make her be. Now I can actually believe that she's a real character and not a kid getting ready for a convention
Thank you! I honestly have no hate or no disrespect for the show or the creators, but I find the designs very confusing, boring and just a lack of character and what the story is trying to tell ❤
While I don’t agree with the desaturated, analogous color choices, I do agree and respect the physical design choices. She does feel more like a proper adventurer

All of the main 4 characters are named after herbs instead of spices. Their names are a reference to Scarborough Fair, as far as I know. That being said, High Guardian Herb just sounds weird unless the main characters were all stoners...which actually would have been kinda cool and funny, but I digress.
If you didn’t mean any hate towards the OG designs then what’s with the thumbnails? Also what is it with people trying to “fix” character designs by removing/toning down all the colors..
I dont mind the original design's colors but everything else is atrocious lol, you made it much more coherent! the original genuinely reminds me of my attempts to draw anime characters as a 10 years old, its like they just slapped on all the elements they think an adventure/anime chara should have, going off vague ideas only and no references
I don't really like this show but I don't like your insistence that making the characters look realistic automatically makes them look better. It's a cartoon it doesn't need to be realistic and a lot of the time realism can make the design boring. This design is fine but bland and I feel does loose some charm from the original
I understand, but of course I just wanted to “spice” things up a bit, as if the show was better written or portrayed the way they wanted to go with it, We all have our preferences on design choices I just feel that this rough and tough look suits her! But of course we all have our opinions 🩷
