Better than a tarp is shad cloth. A few layers of that let’s sand and dirt fall through. Also allows water to drain through.
When you roll it up in the morning there is less dirt and water on the base, makes it easier to pack up quicker.

nice one Sarah, great video. I was thinking when you were setting up that your swag was very compact, then tip 2 made sense. Never thought about that, good idea. Good luck with he channel, I know how much work you're no doubt putting in, subscribed and looking forward to checking out some of your other videos ✌🏻

I have a 23zero outback the queen sized swag. I had a metal staircase collapse under me and now live with chronic pain and am disabled. I have a recumbent trike that I motorized and fitted with solar. It rides on a 5x8 utility trailer that my swag fits perfectly on the trailer once I take the trike off. I like being 2 feet off the ground, just enough that keeps my small breed dog from jumping out of it...Jack is a 22lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My swag rolled up looks like a body is in the bag but I manage with it.

I've heard the 23zero are great swags. Sorry to hear about your accident, great to hear you are still getting out and enjoy a camping. I'm sure it's very therapeutic for you and Jack 😊

Haha I loved the shot of the moka pot. Thats my wakeup routine when camping too. Theres something medative about grinding up some beans first thing and looking out at the bush waking up hey. Not sure about the tip on the mattress though. If youve got the space I think stick with the simplicity and extra comfort the swag mattress affords, they dont really add too much bulk after all. I reckon if you take doggo camping then the self inflating mattress just wont be big enough either? Great idea though if youre trying to squish the whole fam into the car!

Haha yeah love that first morning brew sip. I can't fit a full swag with the mattress in my car. Plus a few of my friends do the same thing. Works a treat if you don't have the space ☺️

Have you used a stretcher on the swag rather than being on ground

Cheers for your run down...best wishes for 2024...we run an identical camprite for the misso and the youngest. It nice n comfy but the plastic clips have died after 2 years. Geez I edited thus due to crap spelling😂

Ditch the plastic tarp and use shade cloth or some canvas...much better for the swag and the ground and you may find that some (a lot) caravan parks don't like the use of plastic on the ground. A swag really is the only way to go.

Great thinking on the shade cloth, any ground protection is a good idea to stop excessive wear to the underside of the swag. I don't really camp in caravan parks... not my style/too many people haha I much prefer a bush/national park or nature based camping ground which is usually dusty and dirty ground. However any camping is good camping 👌

Thanks for the feedback... yeah it's my old GoPro 😂 need to upgrade it. I'm sure the newer ones are way better... think I'm still using a hero 7 or 8.
