    1. Trim
    2. Deep condition
    3. Protect your hair at night
    4. Detangle hair before shampooing
    5. Keep hair moisturized
    6. Protective styles
    7. Do stretched hair styles
    8. Reduce wash and go’s
    9. Keep your ends moisturized
    10. Never rip fairy knots out of hair
    Got it. Thanks

    Single strand knots are my only problem with my hair. I feel that it's preventing me from gaining length as I cut them off every time that I see them. I always deep condition, and use protective styles and my hair always feels moisturized so idk why I have so many knots.

      sometimes they can get knotted up the strand. I cut a single strand knot out and then I noticed there were more up the strand. Also make sure to have your hair stretched when asleep

    Your hair is so gorgeous! 💕 This was excellent information. I've mostly been doing braid-outs to stretch my hair and mini twists as a protective style. I'm very tender headed so I can't really do box braids like I use to. I do get single strand I celebrated 1 year natural anniversary in December 2016. In October I noticed I had a lot of split ends at the bottom half portion of my hair so I trimmed at least a 1/2 inch off from the bottom half and side to give me a nice shape.

    I have a big beard and suffer from single strand knots in my beard (driving me freaking crazy). Now I know facial hair is different from the hair on my head... My question is, would some of these tips work for my beard??

    I used to have a ton of single strand knots when I was transitioning. Ever since I big chopped they kinda went away

  • @lashawn711
    @lashawn711 8 лет назад +2

    I ending up doing a mini chop. I wore my hair in braids for 10 years straight and did absolutely nothing to my hair for the entire time. Just washed it when took it out every 3 months. When I decide to to actually take care of my hair I grew it out for two years but my ends had so many knots and were causing breakage the longer it got. I ended up having my first haircut in 12 years to get rid of the horrible ends. So far I've kept them at bay but just having a good regime and taking care of it. Hopefully it will continue while I grow my hair out!!! Thanks for the tips!

    hi all so until recently I have wore my hair curly....now I have gone back to blow drying I saw my hair strands more easily I started seeing the single stranded knots. as much as I could I started to trim them ends away all at the front I thought I was being weird as I would find anybody to look at each strand of hair and trim ......I wish I could lol. from now I am going to add more oil to my strands....other than that de tangle de tangle de tangle on every step of conditioning leave in conditioner etc

    What's the bad thing about single strand knots

    • @blm9838
      @blm9838 7 лет назад +4

      They cause bad tangles and breakage. It can stunt your growth if you dont cut them off.

    • @cammiosis
      @cammiosis 6 лет назад +1

      Breaks off .. my hair has been the same length for a long time because I don’t take control of them. But the only way I can avoid them is to keep my hair twisted ALL THE TIME !!!

    I've figure out how to wear wash n goes and still significantly reduce single strand knots if not get rid of them. I'm sharing it in my channel. One of the main products is using kinky curly curling custard. I am so excited that they are gone. Check out the products and routine I'm now using to get rid of them. Try it out. Thanks for the video 😊
