I have SSK all over my hair it's so annoying... I cut them progressively... this is so frustrating I always want to pull them ..Thanks for this video should help me ! :D
Hi great Tips! I have another one to add. I combine my oil and cream together, then put on a plastic cap then a Conditioner Heating cap (Hot and Gold brand $29.99 USD) for 30 minutes and my 4C hair turns into silky ringlets. I then let it absorb into my hair shaft for at least 30 minutes, then rinse out. You will see a difference after the first time you try it. do this once a week and you will be amazed!!!!
@@HisPeaceIsNeeded I guess it would be whatever cream that works well for your hair. You know we naturals are very diverse, even when we have the same grade of hair. Genetics and individual hair chemistry and the region of the world we live in plays a part too. Cantu might work for you, but that type of cream doesn't work for me.
hi i agree with the comments and you are a naturally beautiful woman. You have natural beauty. BTW men get SSK also, and just wanted to see what the ladies do to prevent it and to have healthy looking hair. Thanks for the information.
i am only natural for 14 months so will see when my hair gets longer but i think my knots are under control. I just decided to keep my hair moist and treat my hair like it's curly. I keep it stretched in twists coz it's more like my natural curl pattern. i am also lazy n like to leave it in twists in all week n just wear cute headbands n scarfs then leave out for one or two days til washday comes around. Pretty much evelynfromtheinternet's routine one of her hair routine videos summed up mine.
I did my first successful wash n go after being natural for 5 yrs. and I experienced the most SSK. I felt like I defeated the purpose of the wash n go. I will limit, most likely never do a wash n go again. However I am bored with my hair...I must try something new. TFS.
Whenever I detangle I lightly spritz the ends of my hair collectively, then dip my fingertips in oil, then carefully separate, then spritz the ends in each section. I never handle my hair with totally dry hands. Lightly spritzing a little water on the scalp is also helpful.
ssks happen because coily hair is like a slinky. think about what happens when you stretch out a slinky constantly and allow it to snap back.... it gets deformed and twists funny after a while....
BklynBabe I call it the paperclip effect..... Keep trying to reshape a paperclip and it loses its natural shape and weakens over time. I like the slinky example
Thank you so much for uploading this vid! It was amazingly informative. What is your skin regimen like?! You have amazing skin and i know this may sound funny but do you also have a lip care regimen ?
