It's not letting me leave a comment on the main video so I'm commenting here. I appreciate my natural hair OG RUclipsrs for natural hair advice. Because I value their thoughts and techniques most, I'm most likely to use hair products they suggest. I usually don't look to them for anything else. When I want to hear about another topic, I usually go to another channel. Respectfully, as a consumer, I don't look for one stop shops. I like when RUclipsrs focus on a specialty, but that's just the way I think. My RUclipsrs who talk about child care or true crime, I'm not looking for hair tutorials from them. I think it's an age thing too because my daughter who is 21 likes to watch crossovers, like watching a make-up tutorial while the person tells a true crime story. That's weird to me. I like specialists.
Yes I totally get it. But I have never been a channel that's solely hair, I typically throw in health-related stuff as well, I just stopped doing it for a while. Thankfully hair videos wouldn't be going anywhere

Your audience may not be ready for that though. Do you have other hobbies? Maybe share those. Or even something you’re trying to learn more about like money/finance or a new language.
I think you should definitely expand your horizons considering how you feel. As a content creator, sometimes, you can feel pigeonholed into one niche but truthfully you have full reign. The transition will not be seamless, you may lose some current subscribers, however, you will gain new ones. I suggest creating whatever you desire. if you can connect it to hair then great (for the transition), if not just make it! Your people will find you! My sister would use it as a mask and leave in but I personally only ever use it as a mask
