It's very rare to see Tarantino so relaxed and open in an interview nowadays. You did a great job there. The part about "Aliens" and James Cameron was really interesting. Never heard of this story before. This video will hopefully get many more views. Thank you very much & greetings from Germany! :-)

Congratulations sir, you’re the only interviewer I’ve seen which makes Tarantino relaxed. You don’t bring up pointless questions and you just talk about the movie
Going to watch my first Quentin Tarantino film in a cinema when it premieres in the uk next week! Can’t wait, I honestly think reservoir dogs is his best film!
This is what I love about his filmography, people have different opinions/ preferences, but no one argues about it, that’s how amazing his films are. But let’s all agree, death proof is at the bottom of most lists...
Regardless of what you think of Tarantino, you have to admire his passion for movies. 1:40 For a guy that's been in the limelight as a filmmaker for nearly 30 years, he's probably gotten a million questions about his favorite films/influences, and he's still answering the question with the giddiness and thoughtfulness as if he's being asked this for the first time.
Tarantino’s enthusiasm through every single interview is on whole other level compared to other directors. This dude is the nerd of nerds in the best possible way
Ash Wakeman my father showed me his older films after Django and seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in theatres, and I love his films. Death proof was amazing too. Kill Bill has to be my absolute favorite.
Have you seen all his films? Inglourious basterds is on Netflix now its deffinitaly one of his better movies. Also the hateful 8 extenddd version and Jackie Brown are both on there along with Pulp Fiction
I watch every Tarantino interview and such on RUclips and you did a great job, Dave. I never heard the Aliens opening story before and now it feels as if that was a seminal moment for Quentin. Brilliant job. I hope you enjoyed that pint.
CSI wasn't streaming back then. I mean, I'm pretty sure. Never watched the show, but streaming wasn't even a thing at that time, to my recollection. I could be wrong, but I remember it being a "big TV event." I think it's much more likely that you're wrong
Agreed about Reservoir. And it's so different to his other films. And I like his other films, but it's a shame to me he didn't revisit that realistic style ever again, because he did it so damned well -- it's my favorite film of all time
Yeah us over here in London have had to wait a while which is really annoying when i found out we would have to wait till August the 14th to watch it that was a bit of a drag so been trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible..........
I like Quentin in general, but this film sucks... just imagine the same film, but somebody else as director, and actors which are not that famous... i think nobody would like it so much...
@Zack Luke agree with you... i compare it to football for example... Christiano Ronaldo... when he doesnt play well he is still ok... but lets be real 😊
Your really going to go watch this movie at least 3-4 times at the theatre to fully appreciate it. I seen it once and tried so hard to absorb it all, you just can’t, I’m going back this weekend for my 3rd viewing
"Once in... Hollywood" is, first of all, an ode to the "Golden age" of Hollywood. A Declaration of love, if you like. A Declaration of love for a bygone era from Quentin Tarantino.

i love that hes just a normal guy. he doesn't have this celebrity aura around him that makes him cocky, he's just a film geek that loves to make movies.
The interviewer did a really good job. He was able to get Quentin to open up and didn’t waste his time asking him questions about violence or other shit he’s already been forced to talk about a thousand times already.
one of the main reasons why I love Tarantino's movies is his creativity at the moment to write a script, whereby it makes him unique. In addition, Quentin, apart from being a good screenwriter, he has a good ear for the music, so that's why his films are so good.
What a great interview. So great to see Quentin so relaxed and having fun. I haven't seen the film yet, but will in the next few days. I have already bought the soundtrack and it is fabulous.
Once upon a time in Hollywood is such a good movie. It may be as perfect a movie as can be humanly made. The script is great, the acting is great, the editing is great, the camera angles are great. The story just moves you through on this soft coaster ride. Pure enjoyment. Being 9 in '69 in Southern CA, helps a bunch. If your much younger you may not get it all. More so, if you were in the Hollywood industry around that time, how much more than I did this bring you enjoyment?
mikecantreed he said “writer-director”, some nolan and pta films were based on a book which cancels them as “writer-director” but they are both great directors

I saw pulp in theatre at age nine with no concept of heroin or overdose and only terminator 2 style violence, and even at age nine I realized this is what cinema is supposed to be. I don’t believe once is his best film ever, but I think it’s just beneath pulp and inglourious.
The last 20 minutes made me laugh harder than any other movie I've seen in my whole life. The rest of the movie was also amazing, but the ending was the cherry on the cake. This was an amazing movie that I think will be the best movie of the year. This is my 3rd favourite movie of Tarantino and is now between my top 40 movies of al time.
In Doug Stanhope’s book, “Digging up Mother: A Love Story”, Doug, a regular at Coach & Horses, states that he used to see Quentin there. I was delighted to hear him mention that.

During the break in the movie and nothing had happened. a people were walking out calling the said film rubbish, shxt and on and on. That was a huge mistake as when the break was over...'ALIEANS' exploded into action. One of the best movie experience i have not seen since!
Loved the movie. Just watched it. I’ll say this, it’s the first movie that made me feel physically uneasy. The whole Sharon Tate story and living in a house that one of the Beach Boys lived in etc. People should really look it all up if they don’t know. I was expecting the real story to be told and I was very uneasy about it. I’m glad that Tarantino did his madness and gave us the outcome that really would have been much better and happier. It was a lovely tribute and nod to say that her and her friends won’t be forgotten either. I really liked what he did. It was a F U to those involved and it was somewhat satisfying to see. Personally think it might be one of Brads bests performances too for me. Thought he stole the show and I didn’t want it to end.

Jackie Brown and Kill Bill vol 1&2 for me

I think sharing cinema with others is a huge part of who QT is. Everything Ive seen he tries to do that at every chance he possibly can.
Now that's what i call an interview!

Quentin wrote five actual episodes of "Bounty Law"...I hope he actually directs them and puts them on a streaming service.
9/10 would actually watch Bounty Law if they made it into a Netflix Show.
He'd commit suicide than put anything of his original work on streaming... he is a cinema purist

Sav Drako his worst? In what way ? This is also arguably his most original approach at telling a story so I don’t understand how you can say that.
