20:40 "and I would really enjoy showing you my lighting process especially in front of allllll my frieeeends but..."😹😹😹 I actually loved this movie!!!!✨
24:40, I do agree, but not everyone has easy access to film or ways to process it. if you have the resources and want a film look then great, use actual film, but for the short film maker those grain and flicker effects are invaluable.
I think the discussion was largely about big budget movies hence them name dropping fellow multi-million dollar film makers. I agree with him as well, but there's also something magical in the fact I as a solo person, could go out and film something on a cheap digital camera, and use effects to achieve a close to film look right in my home.
Good questions, Good interview, only problem I had is that everytime Quentin told a joke or answered a question, somebody shifted the conversation to another question. In a short interview, I can understand that, but in a podcast that's well over 2 hours, you should allow us to process what was just said
…just finished listening to this interview, it was very interesting and easy on the ears and brain. Great and thoughtful questions. I would loved to hear more about Jackie Brown and why Deathproof is his least favorite of his films (I thoroughly enjoyed it, though KILL BILL is my arguably my favorite film of his). It’s very pleasing to hear how much he enjoys speaking to others about the films of his they enjoy as well as films that inspired him, not to mention his vast knowledge of film period. Finally, I listened to this after his sit down at Club Random which was a horrible listen AND watch, Maher constantly spoke over him and laughed unnecessarily constantly where the was no reason. It was frustrating! So thank you guys for giving QT the time and respect to offer his thoughts and answers to your questions given the frantic lead up to the “hang out” you all enjoyed. I’ll have a listen to your podcast soon!
Nice interview. Great getting to hear Tarantino actually just talk. Truly a legend. It was pretty apparent that the interviewers were trying their hardest not to make it obvious how starstruck they were and to not come off as just a couple giddy fans. I definitely cringed a little at the tattoo bit and the begging Quentin not to retire bit toward the end. Also could have done without the "behind-the-interview" part at the end-it's not exactly embarrassing per se but it's just kind of like.. own it guys. I mean, don't be fake or anything but you don't need to advertise how big of a deal this is for you, just be fucking cool. If I were you, I'd fucking want to die at the thought of Quentin Tarantino ever hearing that post-interview part.

Love listening to tarantino.
U guys sound so stoked u got to do 2 interviews with him. Amazing
In a short interview, I can understand that, but in a podcast that's well over 2 hours, you should allow us to process what was just said
Fantastic conversation, and a real treat to listen to. Thanks for this!
This is incredible. Thank you to all involved 🤙🏾
Tremendous interview boys, well done
Quentin as a great filmmaker has such a passion for film. Hardly any ego. I appreciate that about him.
He certainly is humble
Thank you very much for this
Amazing Interview.Thank you.
Great interview guys, really enjoyed this. Been following him since I was at the first screening of Dogs in the UK at the London Film Festival back in the early 1990s
Great job you guys!
Quentin Rocks
Best Tarantino interview I've listened to.
I love that he is such a fanboy of Mad Magazine that he sounded a bit surprised that they were thrilled with the idea of collabing with him (aka- arguably the most legendary film maker of all time) at the over-the-hill state that they were in at the time
I was doing an overnight shift at a convenience store listening to this interview.
Im so glad it got recommended! Hearing that tattoo part made me so happy, i have the line "YOU CAN HAVE THIS ONE, COWGIRL" (from Pulp Fiction) tattood on my forearm
Great fkn interview, just subbed
I love this conversation. Thanks CinemaBlend
Calling all QT fans - if you haven't already.......its worth checking out his commentaries with Edgar Wright, they're available on RUclips and they're awesome.
Quentin Tarantino has made a lot of people happy 🎬
QUENTIN MAKES A REFERENCE TO AN OLD MOVIE HE LOVED ABOUT EVERY 8 MINUTES, ON AVERAGE. SOME ARE LITTLE B-MOVIES FROM THE 50'S THRU THE PRESENT DAY AND I'M SO PROUD THAT I GET ALMOST ALL OF THEM...OR AT LEAST 90 PER CENT...
Good work, enjoyed that. Glad it worked out for you all. Best of luck
Frankly, I don’t know who guys are, but I loved your podcast and enjoyed so much the behind the scenes! Very good job!
Good job guys, great interview!
Great interview guys. I didn't know who you all were but now you have a new subscriber. 3 great hours
Great interview. I can listen to him all day
Thank you so much🙏💕
Once upon a time in hollywood isn’t “a fun what-if”. Basterds was a fun what-if. This movie was a heart felt and deep what if. It wasn’t just entertainment. He was wielding the power of film to right a terrible wrong.
that was pretty good. Love Quentin
Fantastic interview !
Love Quentin movies! I hope if he does only does 10 films, I hope he starts writing books!
Awesome interview!
