He is just a movie buff, but much smarter than most with a near photographic memory. Obscenely creative and capable of recalling scenes in cinema and found a way to rework them. His films .... when you look at them, are nothing new, he simply just tells old stories but, with a modern twist to keep the audiences engaged and he's a master of writing dialogue.

I wanted it, until I read the book. IMO it ruins cliff. Don’t get me wrong I love OUATIH. It’s my favorite Tarantino, heck my favorite movie. But the 4 hour cut is in the book. And there are things that I think makes the movie better, but the way cliff’s character is handled in the book is just… crushing.
