    about 8:00 ...I have done my whole work table. I used vinyl (normal for floor use..) as a remainder it almost cost nothing (or honest: very very less😁) I can clean it easy, can use all stuff to undo it from mess as ink, markers, powders sprays.. and more mixed media ... It is perfect for me..

    Yet again, love this idea. Have you ever thought of stretching your card (like stretching paper) as this cuts down costs and works quite well? Just a thought, I know you have to plan ahead to do so but it's only a bit of time and prepares your card/paper to take water. Keep going with the ideas, love them all x

    Lovely cards and I love the background behind the sunflower - the effect looks like little flowers dotted around. Another one to try! Enjoy tomorrow, with an empty house! Parents/carers all over the country will be heaving a sigh of relief, no doubt! 🤣🤣

    You might have fun playing with different types of salts including epsom salt, alum, baking soda, road salt, and the even solution from saline enemas in as a spray.

    Your backgrounds turned out great, for sprinkling brushos use a push pin in the lid - means you don’t have to open the pot. I love using brushos with the pixie powders x

      yes ive seen that done before, but i wanted to make a spray so the holes wouldnt be helpful then ha ha. I might do in the future but im also paranoid about knocking them over and im in quite a humid climate so they would get moisture in them. Ive got some small tipped bottles that i think i'll transfer some into and sprinkle that way

    Love what you did with the Brushos! First of all I was thinking, stop, that's way too much Brusho powder, but your results were awesome! They last for ages, I first got some 20 years ago, and still fine. I mainly use mine for Lavinia stuff these days, they look good on the gel plate, splattered over brayered ink. Alina's new stuff looks the best I've seen of hers! Well done for not making poo! Lol! ❤️❤️❤️

    I've found that using either type of salt is a great way to get kids involved in the creative process. Using the sprays will add an extra element of fun for them. Thankfully, some of the cheaper papers are enough to keep them engaged until they gain a little skill. They also love my stamp press and have come up lots of cards they're proud to send out. Thanks for all the examples to accompany your own playing.

    I have been playing with shimmer powders lately, too. I blame you, because I watched your video with the explosion powders, but I couldn't get a hold of them, so I bought some nuvo shimmer powder, and then I needed more colors, and then some more. Now I need to just use them to justify buying them 😅

    These are truly beautiful-wow!
    I may have missed it, but did you need to seal the result, or had the water already fixed it? Also, you mentioned several brands, do you have a list of those we need to seal? Oo, another thought, are they stable or will water RE-activate?
    Thank you, loved the video .... what was that, wine o’clock? Will gin & tonic do? Can’t let you drink alone 🤣🤣🤣😇

    • @SashaReade
      @SashaReade  3 года назад

      Definitely dont need to seal it when it's just the colour. I was mentioning at the beginning that if you were to use powders with mica in them you need to check if that mica rubs off and seal it if it does :) I would imagine water will re-activate, but i only use mine for card making not art so im not sure what all the proper steps are if you want use it for art :)

    • @SashaReade
      @SashaReade  3 года назад

      I havent actually, im not sure if it's easy to get ahold of here. Do you mean to use as a sealant?

    • @quirkycat2489
      @quirkycat2489 3 года назад

      No, not for setting. I am in England and think I got mine from one of the cheapy shops. Its just another way to apply Brusho, spray the starch on to the card and sprinkle Brusho or sprinkle then spray. Also cling film can be scrunched over the top and left to dry. There are videos on You Tube that explain it better than I am doing, but it is a nice technique and the powder dries with a slight sheen from the starch.

    Sasha, these are beautiful, was wondering how to stamp on pearlescent card stock, it smears and willl not dry for me, I heat set it, leave it for 2 days and it still smears. What am I doing wrong? Tfs

    • @SashaReade
      @SashaReade  3 года назад +1

      I think it depends on the pearl card. I find the single sided pearl card to be tricky to stamp as it's more like a plastic finish, whereas the fully pearlescent(double sided) is much easier to stamp. I do find i need to leave it to sit for a few minutes to absorb though as it takes longer. I also find it alters the colour of my ink when stamping on pearl so i usually test my inks on a bit of scrap. If you're struggling with drying you may just need to heat emboss all your stamping
