I absolutely love the volume and thickness of your hair. I actually stopped getting my reties from my sisterlock consultant because of thinning. I haven’t had a retie in 4 months. I am starting to self retie the back and sides because it has grown out sooo much. I will see how my front and center is doing and retighten as needed in those areas.
i feel like free part is prob better for your locs tbh. less pressure to keep the grid neat means less less breaking and parting hairs to clean up the parts which is prob better for your locs. i love my diy grid but i think about it when i do my reties sometimes. that being said, i thought you had sisterlocks before you said anything lmao (ik what the title says but i never remember that kinda stuff when i’m watching 😭)
