I like this girl she's very good, I had a hard time adjusting to Annette. I straight away liked this, so much so that I'm going to look up some of her other music.
good and good... those were good albums too (even though i didn't buy any :D) but the style was just completely different when compared with the earlier stages of the band. But yeah, I am looking forward and waiting for new albums! Probably something completely different once again.

Finally a NW singer who sings every bit of the songs and the choir is what it is supposed to be! a choir! the front lady sings EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so glad she stayed! looking forward to their new album with her voice!
At the show tonight, Floor thanked everyone and said its been an amazing last few days and she hoped it would continue for a long time. The crowd went crazy and the guys in the band were all nodding and smiling. I think shes going to be the full time replacement. I have now seen them 5 times, twice with Tarja, twice with Anette and now with Floor. Tarja was excellent, Anette was pretty good and Floor is awesome. Great voice and stage presence and she can sing the older stuff, shes a keeper.
Is it me or is Marko smiling way more than before?
Wait a second, a soprano singer who arrives at short notice, nails all old songs and sings the new ones so well that makes Anette's studio versions sound like the replacement? And she won't even run off stage crying?

I'm from Portland and I didn't get to go to this concert in 2012... but finally in May 20, 2022 I flew to LA and got to see them. They are so amazing.
And Now this is can be the history Arise legendary of Nightwish bringing the magic again
I love to hear the reaction from the crowd the first time she sang the operatic part.
She literally got hired 48 hours before the gig, dude! This is basically unrehearsed stuff that she's never sung with a band before! And it still kicks some major butt! This tells just how good Floor is.
This is because the two last albums was make to Anette's voice... Floor can sing the two NIghtwish's eras... I think she is amazing and actually she is perfect to the band...
can tell how the way she sings the songs has evolved. amazing job to step in to a situation like that and save the day.
For those who don't know, floor is a 10 years old closer friend to Nightwish, that's why they knowed who to call :P
I was there and it was my first Nightwish concert. I was sad not to see Annette, but Floor was incredible. Her stage presence is impeccable and electric. Needless to say I fell in love with her and her music after this performance.
It was definitely a nice surprise! I loved her performance as well. I've seen Anette back in 2008 and while I enjoyed it too, it wasn't as 'powerful' as it was with Floor here in Portland.
And today, 4 years later, I'm still mindblown. Floor has taken the songs, and improved them in my opinion. By adding her own parts to the songs. Like the background choir part in Storytime at 1:58 - That sounds fucking angelic in the Wacken 2013 performance. And the end of storytime as well, she just knocks it out of the park... People seem super excited at this show... Like you said people expected Annette, but looks like everyone was very pleased with Floors performance. When she's introduced at 5:26 she gets a really warm welcome.
Damn this woman is an goddess. Themyscira called, they want the REAL Wonder Woman back. She completely destroys Anette xD

If this is what Floor sounds like with a bad cold and major jetlag, not to mention having all of a day or two to learn all the lyrics, then I'm very much looking forward to the shows in Florida on the 13th and 14th!

Oh thank God. What a difference one day makes. So this is what Floor sounds like when she's had a little sleep and practice. I hope the support we fans in Seattle showed encouraged her so she could be more confident yesterday. I guess I should have stopped crying in my room over Anette and made the drive down to Portland.

@@salt27dogg Me! I think ReVamp is just as good as Nightwish, but harder. Floor saw it similarly and wanted to stay in both bands. But in the end, Nightwish destroyed Revamp. But if I had been Floors I would have chosen Nightwish too.

She herself wanted to come as soon as it possible.She really enjoy the presence of NW,so it´s really simple.She sings better the old and newer songs,so they can expand their song choices,which are the heavier you hoped for.Tuomas knew Anette´s weaknesses and strengths of new album but they wanted more,Floor singing capacity is more stronger, which they need. I have been won over. This is definitely a move in the right direction with the singing. She handles both the old and new styles with ease. Keep her as long as you can, Nightwish!
I saw Floor Jansen with her old Band After Forever and thought she was a very good singer and a very good strong front woman. and after watching this, it looks like she has been in Nightwish for ages. I just wish I had gone to concert in London to see them, I'm kicking myself now. She handles both previous singers songs really well.

Um, Floor not singing like Anette is a good thing. If Nightwish wanted to sound like Within Temptation they might as well could have changed their name.

I bought my tickets for the Mexico City show literally the day before I found out Anette was leaving. When I bought them, I was happy. The morning after, I was ECSTATIC! :D

Now we are talking business!!! Floor is amazing. She only had a couple of days to rehearse for this first gig and she is THAT good. I can only imagine what she will be capable of in future concerts. If Tuomas is a smart guy (and of course he is) he must try to persuade Floor to join the band by any means necessary.
For the first time, since Tarja left the band, I see a great duet, with Marco and Floor Jansen.
She did a great duet with Russell Allen in "The Phantom of the Opera". I hope they sing that song together.
She sings the songs from Tarja era as good as Turunen

I was a bit sad when I heard that Annette was gone, not really because I was a huge fan or anything. Nightwish definitely developed a good sound using her voice, its more of finding yet ANOTHER singer and dealing with all the comparison and crap people do again. I would be happy though if Floor stayed with Nightwish as a permanent singer. She has more power behind her voice than Annette did. Her voice reminds me of Simone Simons.

As is shown in this video, Floor can sing in both directions pretty well, so why should Tuomas need to abandon his dream here?
Floor, you fit NW perfectly!! After Forever's still one of my favourite bands today and ReVamp rocks like hell! I love your accent (you almost sound American now hehe) and your voice is just unbelievable. I was THRILLED when I heard you replaced Anette. I'm very sad to see her go, but well, NW have to move on now. And they'll move on perfectly with you. Just hope you stay in! Don't let go of NW, please! Do not dare to leave! Hehe :)

Exactly - its entirely possible that Floor could do ReVamp whilst Marco is doing stuff with Tarot and Emppu is recording with Brother Firetribe. I'm not sure what the tour schedule for ReVamp is like per album, but I doubt its at the same scale as Nightwish tours

This really makes me want to listen to nightwish again in a very long time, like the latest album with anette but didn't listen to nightwish anymore on a regular basis, now i enjoy listening to them again :)

wow que sorprendente, sinceramente nunca habia escuchado la voz de Floor Jansen, sin embargo, antes de escuchar este video creia q Nightwish realmente la habia embarrado al sacar a Anette, ya que IMAGINAERUM para mi, calzaba perfecto con la voz de Anette. Con este video me retracto xD la verdad que tiene una voz genial y puedo sentir que revive la esencia de Nightwish!! Seria una pena que solo sea para terminar ésta gira, pero me gustaria que sea una gran candidata para quedarse en la banda.
