You need to come back to Storyland on a Nostalgia night, the Polar coaster was so heavy that the last hill had harder ejector then Roarasaurus in the back row! Plus, a night ride on Roarasuarus is on par a night ride on Bouderdash
Did anyone else get deja vu when Coaster Dash posted this because Coaster Studios posted a vlog of them at the same park just a few days prior? 😂 It seems like you guys had fun! Rauasarus and the Vekoma family coaster seem really cute! Both parks look so charming! 😁 I think I have new #1 bucket list coasters lol 😂
These parks were favorite day trips for our family when our kids were young. The theming, natural settings, and friendly atmosphere of both places always made for fun and memorable days. They are also the perfect introduction for small kids to rides and little thrills, and therefore a great preparation for bigger thrill rides as they grow into them. As adults, we always had as much fun at these places as the kids did. They are charming places nestled into the White Mountains, especially Santa's Village. I think Walt Disney himself would have loved it at these places.
Man, cool video! I grew up there in Glen NH less than a mile from there. My grandfather was one of the carpentes when Storyland was built. The entrace buildings, the story book theme "club house" buildings, Cindrella's Castle etc. he had a hand in building. My first job was at StoryLand circa 2000's
santa's village makes great gingerbread cookies but decorating them with those ketchup bottles is such a pain in the ass i just scribble on it and then spread it over the cookie with a knife lol
What is with New Hampshire and some of the coolest/cutest trains lol. Untamed, Roar-O-Saurus, Polar Coaster, the Spinner at Santa’s Village, the defunct reindeer coaster at Santa’s Village!
Great video! Both of these parks were definitely nice. Im really looking forward to the La Ronde and Great Escape Vlogs! I really enjoyed watching this!
Yay I've been looking forward to this. It brings back memories from when I was little. Some awesome hiking in that area. And the Saco River in North Conway is fun for floating downstream on inner tubes on a hot day. Like a natural lazy river, lol.
Just found this channel with your canobie lake park video. Used to go to these parks every year as a kid and have gotten the joy to bring my kids there as well. Always a fantastic day. Glad you had fun. Hope you found some time to do a hike or two while you were up here. As someone who's hiked basically all those mountains, the views are even better from the top.
@@CoasterDash I’m sure it was, I just rode bobcat at great escape and that was wild, borderline thrill coaster. But instead of ejector it has sustained floater
I grew up in new brunswick, and since we had little to no parks in this end of canada almost every summer we would hit these two parks like crazy, polar coaster is what I thought was my first coaster till i was 19 and saw footage of me as a 6 year old riding the powered coaster in the mall of america, I remember being so scared to ride roar o saurus the last time I went back in 2016 cause three years prior I rode the wooden coaster at upper clements and had by far the most painful experience I had ever had on a wooden coaster, these parks are quite special to me for those reasons, they are my childhood parks, and to confirm, yes the dark ride had some work done, my gun did not work at all when I did the ride in 2010. for santas village. that coaster was the scary coaster of the two, when we used to travel to both, we liked santas village more due to that zierer tivoli feeling really fast to us my yapfest is over, this is my way of saying I loved seeing you, my favourite youtuber go to a childhood park, and am even more excited to see you go to la ronde, another park i love
I'm so glad that you guys had great weather for all of these New England parks. I watched your Canobie video, but I'm curious if you were able to ride their log flume. The layout is great, and it starts out with a small drop.
Hope you enjoyed the White Mountains! My favorite place on earth. Kids love these two parks, but Santa’s Village is definitely the better of the two! Great vibes in your videos!
Man, you guys are so lucky getting to go all around to these amazing theme parks and amusement parks. I know you have been to Lagoon but I hope you return one day so you can ride rocket if you bring someone and ride the new roller coaster.
I’m from maine and Story Land is my whole childhood!! My mom used to have to drag me away from the leprechaun in the tree cause I’d want to watch him for hours and not let any other kids see
My 4 year old niece went on that coaster last summer ( she’s very tall) and she bodied it! My father in law said it was the craziest thing he’s ever done and didn’t belong at storyland lol.. I live an hour away from storyland been a NH native my entire life thanks for stopping by our state.
Oh yeah coaster dash i also forgit to mention theres a small park called remlinger farms in Washington just jn case you didnt know also there are some good water parks in New England maybe you could hit those up check out a couple slides
Hopkins was based in Florida, so its even cooler that a park in New England has some hidden gems from them. Its not like Toverland where Vekoma is just up the road
Just came across your channel. I grew up in NH and always thought these parks were under rated. The parks that I thought were bigger and better have actually become second tier compared to these parks in my mind. It's not just about coasters, it's about the whole experience, and Story Land/Santa's Village nail that.
the midnight flyer is supposed to look like the northern lights, that's why it's bright green the humbug ride is VERY new, there was an older one that it replaced, i wanna say the new one opened in either 2021 or 2022?
Not sure how old you are but you are living the life kid. Im form massachusetts sf new and all the new hampshire parka were a summer getaway. When my daughter is a little older lake compounce is a must for us.
I like to see you all go to candon park in west Virginia it's a real little park very old went there as a child and I believe you can get 3or 4 credits there so it would be worth the trip I been to a few park that have closed over the years like ghost town in the sky and I hate that people today don't get to experience it I'm glad you go to the small parks to because it's all about the memories and not the thrills have fun and be safe
@@CoasterDash Woodstock Express is alright, but I have a lot of trouble riding it. I'm too tall and can barely fit in the train. I just rode my first GG family coaster a couple weeks ago (Kentucky Flyer) and thought it was great. I don't have any fitment issues with those timberliner trains. The only reason I said to replace WE was that there isn't really enough room anywhere in camp snoopy to put a coaster.
Hopkins flumes aren't that uncommon, but Hopkins *roller coasters* are quite uncommon. Polar Coaster is a Hopkins. And most of the few they made are quite different from that. The only other ride Hopkins made that even resembles Polar Coaster is maybe the defunct New Wild Mouse Coaster at Misaki Park in Osaka--and that one wasn't really a terrain ride. It's an oddball. Roar-O-Saurus is a gem, and for a long time, it seemed like most coaster enthusiasts online hadn't gotten up there to ride it. It's genuinely one of the best thrill coasters in New England, hidden away at a kiddie park in the White Mountains. I love Yankee Cannonball and Untamed but you can make a case for Roar-O-Saurus being the best coaster in New Hampshire.
