So nice of them for not interrupting him being in his world.
They even hired the drummer. Which is even better.
@@timothymckane6362, absolutely)))
That's because they were in their own psychedelic world 💨🍃

Doomy riffs with fast drums sound awesome.
Yeah! I f*ckin agree
Me, when listening to Oceans of Slumber's cover of Candlemass's Solitude: "Oh man, on one hand, I'm really digging this...but on the other hand, won't those double bass drums sound too busy, to trad Epic Doom fans?"
I mean, make no mistake, as someone who is open enough to embrace both Prog Death and Death-Doom, it's a treat for me. But uhh, what about those trad Doom fans? Yeah, yeah, I know, the heart wants what the heart wants...still...
Exactly!
I can really dig fast pace doom . But rudimentary gets kinda too slow for me but still enjoy some acts.
@@achalrawat817 Then, seek any hybrid of extreme metal and Doom. Death-Doom (Tho I find their Funeral derivatives are wayyy slower), Black-Doom + DSBM, Sludge Metal (Duhh, it's Hardcore + Doom. Mastodon), the more progressive/technical side of Post Metal (The Oceans, Cult of Luna), Post Black Metal (Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, Imperial Triumphant) and Doom (Ahab, Lesbian, Confessor), Grind-Doom (diSEMBOWELMENT), Doom Jazz Metal (Giant Squid, Shining[Norway]), Stoner Doom bands that incorporate Sludge as well...Primitive Man, The Body, Dragged Into Sunlight, Slugdge. Heck, Dissonant Death Metal, as they promote a more depressive atmospherics, are borderline, like Ulcerate, Artificial Brain, Portal. Atmospheric Death Metal bands are borderline as well.
It's a pretty black metal riff to begin with, I can't lie.
Which goes heavy metal
nah dude the riff is very pentagramish and pentagram is doom metal they have a riff that sounds quite similar to the one in this video
@@heavenshound6775 It's more than the structure, it's the tonality. It lacked the Doom thiccness. As someone else pointed out elsewhere, the first riff is a carbon copy of the riffs that defined the early 90s black metal scene
@@VaughanRoderick yeah, the first riff sounds like it coulda been Burzum. The following riff was Pentagramish.
Is literally a copy of dunkelheit by burzum wtf you all talking about 💀
the fact that the other members still played in time and didn't get lost when the blasts came along was truly a testament to their skill
The other members?
@@match8289 yes, did you not see the other people that coincidentally looked identical to the drummer?
@@NathanielBTM I don't get it. Are you.. trolling yourself?
@@match8289 trolling? what's there to troll about? I'm just making an observation that there are 2 other musicians included in this video that did surprisingly well at keeping up with the drummers tempo during the fast blast beat sections...
@@match8289 are you?
Pedal work went surprisingly good with a doom pace.
There’s death-doom songs with drum work like that. Check it out sometime it’s fuckin sick
I know it's just a joke video, but the drumming was really sloppy throughout. I'm assuming dude is primarily a guitarist / bassist.
Morbid Angel has some doom/death songs with fast drums
@@soldadoryanbr7776 Yes, indeed. I like them.
@@TheCrimsonOne508 could you recommend me some songs? :)
And this, my son, is how Inquisition were born.
Just don't trust Dagon around your son...
@@Hadley.Sinclaire so trve
@@Hadley.Sinclaire Oh shit-
Nobody expects the spanish inquisition
@@Hadley.Sinclaire biggest bruh moment I've ever seen
This doesn't sound far off from old school black metal riffs though.
Those blast beats however 😍😍😍
Exactly what I thought, sounds like an old Venom riff
@@BigTony-bf5jr Dude. That's exactly who I thought of when I heard the riff.
Well them and Mayhem.
I mean, it's hardly any doom. It is a BM riff. Oops, only now I noticed it's a year old video
The drummer actually makes the song even better
No... useless noise
You're too young for this shit

@@urmum5007cry about it
EVERYTHING is better with blast beats.
66Samus would approve that comment.
@Vol V loV It's true.
I agree but none were in this video.
and double basses.
@@bishiler Yes!!
The ‘bass players’ first facial expression when the double kick comes in. Genius. Haha so good.
Up until 1:24 it sounded like a Dark Throne song riff wise so not really doom. Lots of black metal can be played slow and still be good, Samael is an obvious example of this.
i thought the exact thing
i thought the same thing
yea you need that pentatonic sound to be doom
Not gonna lie, I liked it. It let the drums show through really well and didn’t sound out of place the way I thought it would.
For the next oddity maybe a doom metal vocalist joins a black metal band.
Doom Metal is just an intro riff for Black Metal.
fight me.
It did just sound like bog standard atmoblack at first, yeah
Some doom metal songs are longer than some black metal bands entire discographies
@@sonder152 idk man black metal musicians have some long ass songs
@@Idkagoodname-wq8ms But also some very short ones
😅
every doom band needs a drummer like this
1:22 what a riff, put it in your new song
The first riff is still a typical sample of the early 90s black metal, so he were playing not any doom stuff. The second riff fits more or less.
yeah that kinda affected the joke a bit lol
You don't know pentagram dude, youre lost
Hahahahahhaaha the faces they made at the end got me haha-- he's hired!!!!
this just sounds like slow black metal not really doom metal like electric wizard
Swallowed?
@ivy This still quite fast even if we're talking Death/Doom.
@ivy Believe me, I've listened to enough Death/Doom to know that tempo changes are a part of the territory. Just seemed to be a brisk pace to begin with considering the premise of the skit.
@ivy Coffins is a great example of how slow and crushingly heavy Death/Doom can get, I'd say.
I agree about the slow black metal part.
I guess you can take the guitarist out of a black metal band but you can't take black metal out of the guitarist.
- How many times you've watched this video?
- Yes.
Will he play Black Spell of Destruction? Let's find out
Exactly what I was thinking of!
Accurate. Hahaha! Well it reminds me of when I run through some neoclassical shred licks when I am warming up at rehearsal or at soundcheck with my band. The other guitarist in the band always gives me that look. Maybe an idea for the next video? XD
Nice video mate!
Nice idea brother :)
I was waiting for the blast beats.Didn't disappoint! 🤘
Blast beats are my favourite.. Those 16th notes on the kick has something about them.
I don't really listen to Doom or Black Metal, but that second riff is so catchy it'd fit in a country song
This immediately made me think of that one riff in Hippie Killer (if you've heard it you know the one), crushing stoner riff laying over some of the most radical drum fills. It's great. Need this with some black metal vocals about getting blitzed, blackened stoner metal needs to exist
bro your drumming skills improved a lot compared to the past videos about you buying a new kit. keep blastin !
Thanks guy. I've had this stuck in my head for over an entire week now.
1:21 when doom metal becomes classic rock with just a drum change
1:33 That killer expression (which says when is going on) by both made me laugh till the end 😂. And suddenly.... You are up !!😂
Haha went to so many Hard Rock auditions and used to play like this to spice things up. I never heard back from any of them 🤣
100 BPM! What a poser all real doom bands play at 1 BPM 😂😂 also good job, the mix and song sounds good
Now you gotta do the opposite, doom metal drummer in black metal band
so burzum? lol
This made my day. Thanks!
This is a great channel man! Keep it up.
Must resist the strong urge to blast beat.
That last riff with the drums had an avant garde feel almost. Lol
HAHAHA I was waiting for the blasts xD
I lol'd at the piter pater piter pater of the double bass drums
I had that same BATHORY shirt in '86.... I loved it
That closing riff sounds wicked, simple but wicked.
Glad to see how much you improved from your speed cobra video 5 years ago
This just proves that the main difference between most metal genres is the drum tempo. A doom metal band sounds blackened once you put a black metal drum beat into the mix.
It's more due this riff being obviously Celtic Frost/Darkthrone inspired, and they played around with doom metal a lot in their early days. Doomy black metal is so archetypical of the genre few even recognise it as being doom inspired - it just sounds like Celtic Frost and Darkthrone really.
When those blast beats come in it feels like first album-era The Sword.
Very clean 🤘
i fucking died at the bassist's face 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice mix 🤘
From what track is that dirty riff holy shit
Good progress on drums bro!
I think it sounded great together ;D
On the last one it did sound off, but in general much better than I expected.
🤣Made my day! Love the confused look on their faces.
Actually one of my favorite combos
I liked when the double bass started and the blast beats worked as well
Drums made all levels of that riffs
Yeeeaaahhh..Keep On Rockin..Great Work..👍😊🤘🙏
1:30 blueslicks over 2/4 for the Arghoslent vibe
You may have something there . I dig it !
This brought me great joy
I really liked this o.o
SUBSCRIBED!
this is hella funny 😂😂i like how they just let him play.
Nice blasts!
It actually sounds amazing!!!
That actually sounded awesome.
very nice dude !
Hahahaha !! 😂😂😂😂
That was awesome!!
That was the happiest DOOM Metal i've ever heard!
Great video
The ending... " Your out " lol
i need a full list of bands that sound like this stat
LOVE THIS VIDEO
The main riff is badass. This is from song or your?``
Just made it up for the vid :)
@@zimorog but it's damn good!
Sounds like Candlemass with those drums
Made me smile.🤘😝🤘
Unironically sounds like eternal deformity, check them out anyone who wants to hear a mixture of Gothic/doom/black metal with both clean and harsh vocals
Sounds good 🤘
Sick bass tone
This is what every drummer save the one who joins your band feels and sounds like when they audition haha
Good one!
That was so fuckin awesome !!!
Clearlt this is dunkelheit by burzum 💀 that's why it sounded so good haha, good video
Don't lie now, that was just the door dash guy you asked to sit in
Nice trick pedals
And playing of course
It was just two minutes of Darkthrone band meetings...
Such a great combination.
“Doom metal band with black metal drummer”
*proceeds to make every burzum song ever*
I love slow riffs with fast drums
The longer that guitar riff kept going the funnier it got 🕺
I was waiting on a blast beat
David Draiman's solo project looks pretty cool
a song needs to be released with this riff .🔥
for a second i thought they were playing deathcrush because of the drums lol
That riff when you start is really fucking sick, is it used in any of your songs ?
"Will he stay in the band or will he be kicked out?" Should be a new series.
this remembers me when Proscriptor Mc Govern tried to join Slayer XD
Well its a good way to stick out, why not it sounds sick
Sounds a lot like What I Always Wanted by Kittie. 🤘
Ficou massa a junção!
No início a melodia parece "eu tô de longe olhando o que ela faz com a raba".
it'incredible, i can hear the bass
That was fun.
