For some reason these are the easiest for me to play. Maybe over any drum rythym period. Hammer blasts are a killer for me 😂

1:11 yup. I'm a beginner when it comes to the drums and when I'm playing blast beats it sounds terrible. You have to begin from slow tempos and progressively start increasing the speed.

Great video! When listening to metal records or backing tracks, I have trouble hearing the groove of blast beats past a certain speed, it sounds (to me) like random noise that has no rhythmic connection with the guitar riffs etc. Any tips for learning how to hear the "one" at fast tempos? Thanks!
Listen for a cymbal or hi-hat. Some type of cymbal will play on every 8th or quarter note. Sometimes it can also help to figure out which notes on the snare are accented.
