      You really have to know your tennis to know what Murray is referring to. In the finals of 2012 Queens, Nalbandian kicks the small enclosure where the lines person is sitting, out of anger (a bit like the Djokovic US Open disqualification). Unfortunately, it's made of wood, splinters apart, and injures the linesperson. He's disqualified and the title goes to Cilic. Because it's the final, he has to sit around and give a loser's speech on top of that.

      Yeah tbf, the attempted pass Novak makes is worthy of praise… it’s bouncing high, Novaks sliding low but he somehow manages to get his wrists over the ball to get some dip on the shot, and hits the angle perfectly… crazy skill and athleticism

    The best part of this is Andy being able to articulate just what makes Novak and Rafa so rough to play just within those two highlights.

    I’ve noticed how tennis players have a very different view of the shots than us fans. They openly admit what’s lucky vs what requires a great skill while fans often swap them around. It’s quite cool to listen to their insights.

    Andy in his prime is one of the best drop-shotters ever imo.
    I used to do it a lot in junior competitions because of him haha

      That’s Andy… impressionists LOVE teasing him about his voice. Happy? Sad? Same voice… and to be fair Andy is such a good natured guy he takes the teasing as affectionate, which it totally is. He really seems a terrific guy.

      @@ddjr6673 Yeah, I think a lot of people misunderstood him earlier in his career and had the view of them that he was some miserable, dour guy. I'm glad that that turned around cause I find him really likeable, so it's nice that he became much more broadly beloved by tennis fans, particularly people in the UK who believed a whole load of nonsense about him early on.

      @@ddjr6673 Yeah, I think there's no coincidence that Murray seems very well liked not just on the men's tour, but the women's as well. Just seems an all round good human being. I'm sad he's not able to go out and play singles at Wimbledon one more time, but he's had a great career and is a credit to the sport. Legend.
