My dad says Lendl was like the Djokovic of his time in terms of stas and almost machine like consistency and drive. Of course Djoker has surpassed him greatly now but like Djoker Lendl also didn't get the fan love of his contemporaries.

And basically from 1983 to 1990 he reached the Semifinal of almost all Slams (like 25/30 or sth like that) He was the most successful player of the 80s overall

Just goes to show timing is everything in this world and he got the short stick between the 3 of them in terms of when his career was played.
