I like the fact that you continue to machine quilt with your sewing machine or a sit down machine. Not all of us have a long arm or will ever get a long arm on a frame.
First time watcher - wow, I'm getting back to quilting and appreciate your kind words. I stopped quilting for many years after going to a class at the local night school offering classes. They left us "newbies" (although we had all sewn many years, new to quilting) after a few instructions. After a 1/2 hr or so the teacher, and others who had quilted "perfectly enough to show," came to our side of the room to see if we needed help - and did we get it! They nit picked all of our work, so harshly, one sewer left, two never came back and I went to one more class. "No, no, rip it out, it is not perfect!" and more you can imagine, so for years I did only simple squares, rag quilting, but nothing with a sewn design or even a design in my piece work. Only simple. I missed sooooo much and wish I'd heard your beautiful words before. At 65, I've started back up, and will be following you. I will NEVER again let Comparison be my thief of joy! Happy Thanksgiving day!!! And, thank you for your kindness.
Thanks so much. Totally new to FMQ. Any quilting in fact! Just did my first attempt at meandering. OMG! That was hard. I had little to no control. It was a mess! But not so messy it destroyed my cushion cover I made from recycled clothing. In fact the cushion is useful and to anyone without 'an eye' it will look fine. Just don't look close! But my main point I wanted to share is how much fun it was - when I wasn't panicking because my machine was doing its own ugly thing, and when I felt out of control and completely lost sight of any semblance of a design concept. I now know why you love it. It can be such fun. Doodling on fabric! I know with practise I'll improve - all thanks in large part to your videos. So thank you. Thank you🌸
Love your tutorials sweetie! Thank you for sharing your love of quilting! A friend just gave me a used Tin Lizzie long arm that didn't fit in her craft room. I am playing around with and it seems to be running well with the help of my sweet hubby an excellent mechanical guy! I am making quilts for a baby ministry currently and have sewn for about 45 years. I just started my quilt journey about 4 years ago. Loving your tutorials!
Angela you have given me so many ways to quilt lately and I'm really learning how to do a better job. Mostly my tops were just meandering but recently I have been watching you and have learned so much. Thank you for making the time to show us that we're stuck in only one stitch.
Just love this flower pattern, the last one is my favorite I think.....just starting to longarm again, so tickled. I was house bound from last Oct. Dr's finally came to diagnosis of a condition that started Feb of 2016. Ended up to be very rare for a woman to encounter it and men are 1%. Some end up in a wheelchair or worse. We thought it was was MS,, but it wasn't. The term for us to understand it was a diabetic stroke. I had a severe case.....extreme pain in hips and then weakness in the legs.....even collapsing on the floor....so wheelchair and walker came into my busy life.......I am now in PT and I am getting up stairs with help....and I longamred a pattern on a quilt I made for my sister........so I am excited to be able o have stamina to quilt for a short time and then rest and then quilt and then rest, over and over......I want to put this flower on a Cross and Crown Quilt top I made after I sewed again starting in February......a mystery....especially for this advid quilter!! it is all a fog to me..but Thanks.....I do love your designs and I feel that I do love you too!!! Thanks!!
I'm hopelessly addicted to your FMQ tutorials! They are so entertaining. I watch them, try them and get oh so happy when something actually turns out close to what you've done! Thanks much for sharing your knowledge!
Ah, I’m inspired to try this today on my longarm. I purchased a used Handiquilter sixteen 6 months ago and am in a love/hate relationship with it. I would like to see you create more longarm videos demonstrating techniques. You keep me centered and realistic about my progress and want to send you a big hug and “thank you”.
I love the flower meander and all the variations! Angela you make this look so easy! I really need to start practicing my FMQ! Thanks for making these tutorials.....can't wait until the Midnight show comes back! ❤️
Love it! As always your amazing! Watching all the videos and enjoying them all! Looking forward to seeing your next midnight quilt show video! Your biggest fan in Edmonton, Alberta Canada from your trunk show at Sparrow quilting company! Cheers! Yvonne
I really enjoy your videos. The pace is fast enough that I don’t get bored and yet, slow enough that I can understand the technique. I will be practicing this pattern because it looks great for all of the floral fabrics that I tend to use...and yes, I love the “organic” look of it! Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with all of us.
I anxiously wait everyday to see if you have a new video! I love all of your designs. When I grow up, I want to be "like Angela!" Thanks for sharing your expertise!
I love to watch all your videos. Thank you for giving of your precious time so that us quilters can learn so much from you. It amazing to watch you and you make free motion look so beautiful and so interesting.ThANK YOU S0 MUCH.
I love this quilting design and I’m going to practice it on my new a Baby Lock Coronet. II can’t wait to use your flower design, in all the variations in future quilts. I noticed that you moved the quilt under the machine on this video. Sometimes I think I’ve watched you use a long arm quilter. Which do you prefer? BTW, I’m just learning to long arm on my Coronet, which I got a week ago. I found quilting a whole quilt on my home sewing machine to be too frustrating. Thank you, Angela. I think you are my quilting guru, along with Jamie Wallen. You’re a great teacher.
I love your videos. I love the way you point out the don'ts as well as the do's. That's really helpful in understanding what one needs to do to execute the motif well. I also love the variations and how you teach us to get out of corners. Your videos are so instructive. I love the way you freeze the video when you are talking about a specific thing you want us to pay attention to. Thanks for your attention to detail and amazing instruction.
Love it. Between this and the paisley feathers, you have a new sub. I’m a new quilter, and would rather quilt my own creations rather than sending them off for someone else to have all the fun!
Angela you are a treasure for sure. When I told you about my disappearing 4 patch my hope was you would put up a pattern and how to of just this. It will go SOOOOO good on my quilt. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Thank You, Thank You
Angela, I love your tutorials!! I started a queen sized curvy log cabin quilt for my niece. I decided to use the flower meander for the colored areas. The only problem I had was that I started the meander very small!!! I had to quilt that quilt to death!! I hope she appreciates the work!! The center of the quilt? I used a stencil of a feather wreath and feathers in the butterflies in each corner. The quilt is beautiful!!! Thank you!!!
I just love how easy you make it look and being a novice it works for me. I love how you show it over and over till it's in finished. Thanks for the details.
I love how you explain things during the quilting of the designs. I've done this design before, but I used the longer "stem", which, of course, didn't work out as well. Thanks so much for doing these tutorials. They really help :-)
Angela, you are so encouraging and brilliant. I would love to know you, because you are so down to earth, warm, and fun. A good friend whom I have learned so much from. Thanks so much for your tutorials.
I love this design. I have used a similar design before. Thank you for the variations. You are a great inspiration for me to branch out & try new things. I too hate "unsewing" showing how to correct the oops & fill in or get out of a tight space is great. Thank you.
Your explanation of all the variations is so helpful! Showing how one design can be adapted for multiple skill levels gives me confidence to try more! Thank you and more of this type of breakdown in FMQ motifs please :)
Angela I just want to thank you for all your wonderful videos and books. I have always wanted to learn to free motion quilt and because of you my journey is beginning . I love watching you sew and create.
+Angela Walters , love this, I may actually try this since I'm a hand quilter and usually send all other tops to machine quilters that I don't have time to finish. a great big thank you, I love your shows.
I taught myself to quilt about 5 years back and am finally confident enough to work on my free-motion quilting. Its a hot mess now but its coming along slowly but surely thanks to your videos. So thanks for another great tutorial i cant wait to try them all.
Angela I just love watching your videos you make quilting fun I did the paisley design from you last video on a practice quilt block and at first I didn't like it but I continued with it all over the piece it wasn't perfect but when you stepped back and looked at the whole block I was amazed at how well it looked! Thank you so much for videos. I have been so afraid of free motion quilting because I don't want to mess up all the hard work of piecing a quilt together and the free motion looking crappie. But with your easy designs and teaching skills you've made me want to go for it! Thank you so much!
I do! I love this flower meander as much as you do! Thank you so much, Angela, for taking the time to teach us your quilting techniques and especially showing us that quilting doesn't need to be scary!
I also love the different flower variations .And i am glad the u are doing more of your Mid night quilters videos I cannot wait till u do more as I love them.
Angela, your videos are amazing! Your personality is so energetic and you make it so fun to learn. I appreciate all of your hard work and your teachings. Thank you.
Recently found your channels and am binge watching...Thank you! Your videos are wonderful. I've made numerous quilts on my Janome 1600P and Juki TL2000Qi sewing machines. I'm definitely not a perfectionist and love all the quilts I've made but here's my main problem: I have trouble making the stitch length consistent when free motion quilting as I try to wrestle a large quilt into submission. Your advice and recommendations are very welcome! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Maybe you covered this somewhere else but I'm curious what kind of machine that you use for quilting. I have a very rudimentary sewing machine that is terrific for piecing, but it has a small neck and the idea of quilting a full size quilt is super intimidating to me. Suggestions???? As always, thanks for your great, super helpful videos. I know that you've been doing this a long time -- you make it look so easy!!!
I love this design. It is easy and looks so good. I just finished doing 20 individual flowers in the centre squares of my quilt blocks and they look so good. I worried that starting and stopping 20 times would be a pain but it was easy. Thanks Angela.
Thank you so much for doing these! I recently received a sewing machine I can use to quilt with and your videos are giving my the courage to try. I am excited for the next season of Midnight Quilt Show to start.
I watch your videos over again to imprint the designs on my brain. I like this flower design with your echoing. It looks so good!
Your quilting tutorials give me so much confidence. I love that you talk about how to ease through mistakes so no one else is going to notice.
I like the fact that you continue to machine quilt with your sewing machine or a sit down machine. Not all of us have a long arm or will ever get a long arm on a frame.
I am trying to have videos showing both machines!!! Thank you so much for you support!

Angela, I sure do wish I had the nerve to quilt flowers in a contrasting color like you did. I love those colors together!! lol
I loved the instructions and the design. Even I use a longarm machine, the instruction works for me. Thanks,.
With your videos and some practice, I might just learn how to do this. YOU make the whole process fun. Thank you.
Thank you Angela for great instructions and beautiful work. {bravery is not my strong suit, but with your help, I am slowly free motion quilting.)
Love your tutorials sweetie! Thank you for sharing your love of quilting! A friend just gave me a used Tin Lizzie long arm that didn't fit in her craft room. Just used the flower meander on a quilt block. Hesitated at first, then after a deep breath or two, dug in. Now I love it! Thanks Angela!

I just reviewed this video and found it very inspiring.
Wow, those variations look fantastic! I love the loopy flowers, they look so hand drawn. Thank you for the tutorial Angela!
