    You and Jenny Jones are my favorite people. You tell it like it really is and tell everyone it OK to not be perfect. For your style to be your own. You inspire me to inspire others and not just in quilting in life thank you for you. And thank you for making these free videos even when your not well what a trooper. Please take time to feel better we’ll still be here waiting for you. You biggest fan.❤️

    Thank you so much for all your work on this project. Sorry you're not feeling well, so be sure to take care of yourself, too. We quilters can be an impatient lot, can't we?! But, to learn from such a talented, patient quilter, we should all be grateful and excited!

    "I"m not a perfectionist, so if it's not perfect, it's totally fine. " With this one sentence, you have won a viewer for life! Thank you for encouraging the non- perfectionists out there, Angela! Your end results are spectacular and you're probably a lot more relaxed at the end of the day with this attitude!

    I have a tendency to go faster than the machine and it looks like it so I now close my eyes and
    Iisten only to you and your machine and get that quiet rhythm in my head for 5 min then start my practice works every time. Thank you.

    I never thought of framing a block like you demonstrated. I echo quilt a lot, but the frame makes whatever you put in the block special. This is a great series , Angela. Thank you for doing it on a domestic machine.

    Oh I could tell you were sick even before you said, hope your better by now. This flu season is kicking all our butts. I've been lucky though, I've stayed away from it and been successful. I've been baking and quilting. When spring gets here I'm going to have to walk to get this extra weight off. Winter has been so messy here I've stayed in. Love meandering. It's the lacy effect it gives that I like on my quilts but yet the easiest. Have a great day!

    Angela, I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! You have given me such excitement that it is so hard to describe. I just finished quilting a crib quilt! Yay me! I've watched your videos about five times (ok more), listening, taking notes and then diving right in. Yes, it was very difficult at first, but I didn't give up, thanks so much for the encouragement.

    Angela, this is SUCH a great idea. There are SO MANY 'Quilt-Along's on the internet, but that's to make a quilt top. We NEEDED something like this, to practice our Free Motion Quilting so we can FINISH all of those quilt tops, right? Right! Thank you so much for setting this up. I can't wait until I get myself a new cell phone with a data plan, so I can take pictures and post them... and participate in all of your contests! ~Diana from Canada

    I'll add my feel better wishes to everyones. I love how your designs always look so good but for the most part are fairly simple and with a little practice I can do them. Not as well as you but I'll keep practicing! The other thing I love about your videos is that you do make little bobbles and you just go on saying close is enough is good enough. It helps keep it real for those of us who make lots of bobbles. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

    I want to enter the challenge but I do not know how to post a photo. I quilted on a long-arm and tried some swirls on a queen size quilt on a rented machine. 15 hours later.....I finished! Whoooo! What an adventure! I was all over the place. I made every mistake you talk about but I finished it. I used one of your patterns from The Midnight Quilt Show. I want to show you. How do I get a photo to the contest? It was like ice skating fast when I wanted to go slow. From a distance it looks ok! Leigh Ann

    What would you recommend for someone who doesn't have a big throated machine like you do? Say a 6.5" or maybe 7"space from the needle to the right side of the machine. I have downloaded the pattern and been finishing a ton of UFO so I'd have something to at least start with. SO happy that these are still on the youtube for us slow starters. LOL

    • @MsDancefan1
      @MsDancefan1 6 лет назад

      I believe that is a Handiquilter machine and I don't think they have stitch regulators. It appears she has started somewhere near the middle. You just stuff and fluff the quilt so there is no tension on the section under the needle where you are quilting.

    When you meander around, do you keep any shapes in your mind? Kind of like a meander typing pad...."wonky heart" or "drunken backwards E"...I've watched others teach a meander pattern and sometimes they mention some basic "shapes" that they keep in mind. The shapes I see in your meandering have their own unique flair. Or do you not try to think of shapes at all? Do you just go where the needle tells you to?
