I have a winch on my Jeep and sometimes I cruise near the public beaches that do not have a parking lot. Just a lot of deceptively deep sand where people get stuck on the side of the road.
Why doesn't the city of Matagorda pave to the beach or lay down a bunch of rock........Jeez.......It would benefit for tourist dollars. After watching this I will never visit there, even though I here the beach is amazing
I'd assume that due to the tide fluctuation and hurricanes any road on the beach wouldn't last long. I'd also like to point out that nobody was really stuck for all that long. I think most Texans are always willing to help each other out.

You can tell the people who are use to driving in sand, they are smooth and steady on the gas.

Air down those tires, and even the two-wheel drives will run in that sand.
How did they get out there in the first place? Isnt it the same sand going in as out?

There is a large parking lot for folks that don’t want to go off-road. No worries. Matagorda is beautiful. Come check it out.
