- What's that you say? My Ford could make it through that. These didn't. All vehicles were recovered in the making of this video.
Stuck Ford
Stuck Beach
Dune Stuck
ARB Straps
4x4xBeach
offroad recovery
1st gen Raptor 5.4l
If the black raptor would have aired down before getting stuck he would not have got stuck my guess
What beach is this at?
San Luis Pass Galveston Island
raptor should have aired down, the others were all 2wd and street tires...
Why is nobody stuck on dunes when I'm out there. This is reality tv.
Because I pull them off. I mean I get them off...I jerk them off? It all sounds bad now that I type it out.
You need to tell these idiots, keep your wheels straight and Don’t Run Over The Rope!
Most have a hard enough time just keeping the wheel straight.
I really hate when they step on the rope, why nobody understands that you're doing harm to the rescue gear 🤬
A lot of people are just more concerned about getting unstuck, which is understandable. Most of my straps get destroyed at the ends where I hook them up.
I own a towing service and I do a few recoveries a week and I always tell them let me pull you and don’t try and out drive me and run over my cable or straps.. lol
Thank goodness you were out there. No telling how long they'd be stuck lol. Might I ask what recovery ropes you use?
TGL industries, alltopz, and ARB
Neverever had this problem in my Jeep
Put some water under the tires and that creates traction. Also who the heck buys 2wd trucks lol
The majority of trucks sold in the US are 2wd. If they had a bucket, the ground would probably dry up before they got back with another bucket of water. The sand is 135 to 150 f in the summer. And even if they got a little further, they would just get stuck again. Australian guy did a good video on it a few years ago. You're better off digging yourself out.
And it still outperforms my Chevy Silverado.
I love my land rover, but I just bought a f150 powerboost, I will be using. These people seem like they just don't air down. Its a lot of fun to drive in the sand!
Had an f150 with a 3.5 ecoboost. Just didn't have the same feeling in the sand.
fseries to heavy just the same as any large truck, also have to take tire pressure down to like 10psi 15 for sand.
The traction system on the f150s is actually pretty good. They usually spin all four tires.
Inexperienced drivers
All could have made it if they were to have dropped psi to at least 15lbs. Everyone just drove off pavement and straight into sand to get stuck.
Sometimes the sand is hard especially after a really high tide or storm and other times 4wds get stuck. A lot of people tell me how they have driven out here without getting stuck in the past. I believe them because of the various conditions day to day.
Ah the tourists are back.
Hihihihihi ford👎
What brand strap are you using.
Nice recoveries!
If they are orange it is the ARBs. If it's the black ones they are TGL industries. 40 bucks on Amazon for the TGL.
This hurts. I drive a Ford. Lol. But I’m not getting stuck down there…..Probably what they all said too. Haha
You are never stuck until you are. 4wd won't engage, too much air, wife was driving, all things I've heard before.
I can imagine. Either way, I’m going down there today. We will see what happens.
Not too many heavy 4X4 are successful in sand with 40 psi in tires...
Alot of those f150 was 2wd not 4wd and they didnt have the correct tires just regular street tires that isnt for sand
I have a 4wd king ranch with ko2's and they are fun in sand
They do pretty good with the right setup.
My Cherokee Trailhawk loves the sand in Corolla, NC.
Did you see how the front tires on the Ford truck stopped shortly after it make that ugly noise? YIKES! So what happened to the Ford truck that "brake shit"? LOL Transfer case problems?
It was slipping out of 4wd.
Hey, I'm sure someone has asked this before, but what tires are you using? Thank you

@@Land_Raver sorry I should have clarified, what brand / model, (like Goodyear Wrangler MT-R)
They are Atturo MT Blades
@@Land_Raver thank you
we're was this
San Luis Pass, Galveston Island.
do you charge? i am thinking about going to Matagorda Island to make a few bucks on the weekend.
I never charge. It is illegal to charge people for a tow unless you have a towing license.
no body airs down?
Only when they get stuck and then I air them down. Very few air down on their own accord.
Tyre pressure is the key to an enjoyable trip on the sand
They can afford these 50-80k trucks but refuse to spend 1-200 bucks or so for a solid, portable air compressor.
They don't even need a compressor. They can air up about 10 miles down the road for $1.50. I drive all the time on 15-20 psi. Doesn't hurt anything.
What an embarrassment
I wonder why the rover doesn't get stuck. Is it because they are lighter.
It's not all that light at 5,000 lbs. The traction system keeps all the tires spinning. I don't spin the tires if I'm not moving forward. It's got great ground clearance. Coils springs help keep the wheels from bouncing. Even weight distribution. Lower tire pressure. All that factors in.
Really, lowering the tire pressure is so important, you can see it in the trail that it makes, it is like floating on sand.
Where did you buy your f150 grill?
That wasn't my truck
Are you using front and rear lockers?
No, it's Rovers traction system. It uses the brakes to slow the wheel that slips. It uses an abs pump and accumulator to apply the brakes so no need for a brake booster. The center differential has a viscous coupling to send power equally between front and rear.
This week on the Land Raver: Shooting Fish in a Barrel.
I like it better than actual shootings.
A lack of intelligence and a micropeen seem to be hard requirements for pickup truck drivers, its really sad
I've pulled physics professors out at this location. It's not intelligence that's lacking, just situational awareness.
What beach is this at?
San Luis Pass
Hey they circle the problem.. Ford!
Humm i see a pattern here
What's the pattern, drivers? Air? Vehicle?
@@Land_Raver Fords…
Shoulda bought a land rover
