NOT For me. Tesla looks so much nicer, has access to supercharger, and so much more fun to drive. I wouldn’t want to save some money and drive an ugly car, that’s just boring. Of course it may just be me.

Servicing at Ultratune? No thanks. Based on the hype from Sam, base price shoulda been $50k on road not $60k. Watch them drop price to that level in 6 months time.

Umm drive away price in VIC $57,990 G6 vs $60,868 Model Y. That’s $3k difference. Make it $4.5k+ if you want any colour other than white

But Sam the charger you have on your Video is the Tritium 50kw and 100kw charger, so no faster to any other EV. 350kw chargers are hard to find and generally more expensive per KWH rate.

My concern would be for software. I have an MG4. It is an excellent car but let down by its software. I could be wrong…..maybe Xpeng has better software than the SAIC/MG cars.
Will be interesting to see how they go. They look like really good value with some design features I'd prefer to Tesla. A 10 yr warranty gives some peace of mind too. Looks like an EV company that has been paying close attention to what Tesla has been doing well, and, on first glance, I prefer their less minimalistic design choices in many places.

Sorry mate, these Chinese brands are good, yet at their best, they are copycats of Tesla that cannot hold a candle to it when it comes to the app, Over the air updates, supercharger network, simplicity of design, adaptability to future improvements, frunk, smooth regen and real one-pedal driving, etc.

I here’s a question for you to ask Xpeng why does the car need servicing Tesla doesn’t need servicing why do all the other manufacturers need their cars serviced. Xpeng don’t have dealerships.
Tesla don't have dealerships... All EVs get serviced, just wiper and brake fluids, probably other random stuff. None of it is costly on any EV.
@@serpserpserp i’m talking about scheduled servicing, were you’re forced to go in and pay a fixed amount of money every year for the at least the life of the warranty.
The schedule servicing really isn’t that cheap could be anything from $2500-$5000 over a five year period and they do sweet fuck all for it.

Interesting review. It looks like you were down Canberra way and Kosciusko National Park with snow. The last I read, the warranty was seven years and eight for the battery. But five yrars is slightly disappointing. And it would be great if it had Sentry Mode 😊. Overall it seems very good value. I wonder what the insurance companies will charge? The PM 2.5 cabin air filter is quite important because the health risk of air pollution - which is mostly due to those particulates - is vastly underappreciated.
I think I missed whether yours is the NCM or LFP version ..
But why no frunk like Tesla n BYD?? Design wise not bad but Tesla is years ahead in software!!

The value on a capital investment that most people will expect to use for many years cannot really be judged when you buy it. Yes the initially delivered product may offer more than a competitor's product and come at a lower price. What if the lower priced car comes from a company that has not yet made a profit? Would you not be concerned if in a few years you will still get software updates or spare parts. What about resell value? What about materials used and the resulting reliability and durability? It is a complex situation and I think that in your presentation any cost factors that will influence the cost to own make way to the enthusiasm you developed what you get for the money when you drive the car out from the sales point
Yes agree but still long way short of the software side which can be a deal breaker for many. Also the current model y isn't the competition the new model Y is. You didn't tell us the price of them.
