43:56 First of all, it's not an Ishi Tib, but an Arcona
44:20 Just no, a Twi'lek, an Aqualishan, an Arcona and a Rodian model were created, which were used twice as villagers and twice as Jedi, this is neither detailed nor appropriate for a series that named "Tales of the Jedi". There are many Jedis that you can use as background characters besides Yaddle or Ki-Adi-Mundi, instead of constantly placing new no-name Jedis with the same models (I miss the Jedi cuncil members from episode one). Using four to five models for 20+ characters is just plain lazy. Also, where was Plo Koon at the Ahsoka Arc and Sifo-Dyas at the Doku Arc? (As actual characters without just being mentioned or sitting in the background)

Episode 2 made realize that Maul killing Qui-Gon was a critical piece of Palpatine slowly ensuring that Dooku no longer had his greatest strength to stay on the correct side of the conflict. Dooku & Qui-Gon were such an important balance, and that one moment in Duel of the Fates absolutely twisted the fate of the galaxy into Palatine's grasp.

Dooku's always been my favourite, in Attack of the Clones I always liked that it feels slightly ambiguous how genuine he is, I've always leant towards him being genuine because he volunteers real information that could have helped the jedi stop Sidious. I was disappointed when the Clone Wars series made him a straight villain, though I understand why.
My only complaint with Dooku in these episodes is that he already seems to be choking people, and even eventually joining Sidious and the Sith before Qui Gonn dies. His death always felt like the natural catalyst, and was a beautiful scene here. I wish that had been the turning point for him joining Sidious, after having years and years of these other events building up to it.

Filoni changed canon again though. This change I actually liked however unlike the first 2 with Maul’s capture on Mandalore and and Caleb/Kansan’s order 66 experience. Absolutely hated the latter change actually, that was so much better in the comic. But yeah always liked it in legends with Dooku only leaving the order after Qui-Gon died and was bothered by canon making it happen 10 years before TPM. Tales of the Jedi was a masterpiece, especially Dooku’s episodes. Qui-Gon will always be the purest and best example of a Jedi imo. I could literally just watch a whole series about Qui-Gon and Dooku. That final scene tugged at the heartstrings. Qui-Gon basically said the same thing to Obi-Wan in The Phantom Menace shortly before the duel with Maul. Man, I’m really hoping that Filoni does more of these.

Dooku actually was already on the council. He was on it when his apprentice before Qui-Gon, Rael, was on trial for killing his padawan. And then Qui-Gon was also offered a seat on the council which honestly doesn’t make much sense because in TPM Obi-wan speaks to him like he’s never been offered a seat on the council. But ah well I guess canon isn’t canon anymore though as Filoni doesn’t give af and contradicts everything ahaha. I like his contradiction with Dooku not leaving the order till after Qui-Gons death though like it was in legends. Wasn’t a fan of how they made it 10 years prior to TPM in canon originally. As an elder master jedi he made the choice freely, sold his soul with both eyes open and once the choice was made, he never looked back. dooku more than any other character besides Palpatine created the conditions for the galactic empire's existence and as an ironic bit of karmic punishment, the moment the task complete and his replacement was ready, he got cast out and forgotten like his old jedi light saber.

I'm soo happy he was able to bring his style and storytelling ability to HIS interpretation of the Pre-empire Rebulic. The second the Master put his lightsaber on the table and was like, this is how its gonna go, I thought, "These are Dave Filonis' Jedi!" And It worked soo perfectly.. You could see in the faces of the captors that they were beaten as soon as he revealed himself, you either do what a Jedi tells you, or die.
And the fact that the true Hero of the day ended up being the apprentice, freaking QUI-GON JINN, holy shit what a great episode, and I'll just go ahead and say this rn 2 episodes in, an AMAZING series.
Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, I will love and cherish you forever no matter what. Thank you for breathing new life into this amazing world.

Yes, Janina is from Battlefront II. I've been acquaintances with her for awhile (my friend ended up becoming friends with her). She's a really down-to-earth person - no Hollywood ego whatsoever. I spoke with her after she was cast in Battlefront II, and the excitement she had for being part of Star Wars canon was blatantly obvious. She's a huge fan herself, and she said it was the honor of her career. So I'm really happy Dave Filoni reached out to her to be a part of this.

Baby Ahsoka was adorable and her cooing noises are the same as Grogu's. She quickly mastered how to use the Force to calm animals, while she was an infant. Ezra tried and couldn't do that on Atollon.
I was also surprised at how Dooku was teetering on the brink of the dark side already. Hopefully, if they ever do a volume 2, they canonize the incident on Galidraan. That would be an excellent starting point for Dooku's mistrust of the Jedi.
Mace Windu seemed shady in the 3rd episode. I wonder if he was lying when he said he had no idea that he would be getting the council seat instead Dooku. Wouldn't be the first time a Jedi lied.

As much as Windu is dogmatic and abrasive, he is steadfast, self-aware and loyal to a fault. His whole lightsaber form is built around accepting his inner darkness and channelling it to fight. So no, I think he was 100% truthful- he just assumed that Dooku would be like him and not care about a council seat. He didn’t realise how much Dooku mistrusted the Jedi Order already.

I hated episode 1. Jedi have different talents and specialties. Ahsoka is like a ninja, not a master of animals even as an adult. Why would this be her story as a baby? For the story to make sense it should have been Ezra and a Wolf before his parents were captured by the Empire.

    • @rakshithanand8262
      @rakshithanand8262 Год назад +3

@@RoxyOceanwave I don't buy that because Mace is not someone who desires or values power outside of his ability to serve. If he can serve as a council member, fine. If he serves as a Padawan, fine. We know that he actually steps down as Master of the Order during the Clone Wars because he feels he can serve better as a general on the front lines, though he won't get another opportunity to lead. Again, the whole point of him is that he resists the Dark Side every day through rigorous self-control i.e. following the rules.
No, I think Mace's issue is that he applies his own thoughts to everyone. HE isn't corrupt, so everyone else can't be. He doesn't understand why Dooku wants more authority at all because Mace can't comprehend that Dooku wants change from the status quo. And to be fair to Mace, I'm pretty sure that if Dooku was honest with him he'd voluntarily step aside like he does later for Yoda.
Of course, a lack of open communication as a whole is a big flaw of the Prequel-Era Jedi.

The opening conversation between Mace and Dooku foreshadowed the ending... where Mace's strict adherence to "rules" and "protocol" is what led to his appointment to the Jedi High Council. Dooku, then, left feeling slighted and further pushing a wedge between him and the Jedi Order. Dooku was valid in his statement. Rules and protocol have their place, but when they become "maddening" they lose their purpose. Also, his statement to the Raxus prisoner about evolving... organizations that do not evolve are doomed to die.... parallel to the Jedi Order's strict adherence to 1000+ year old norms and protocols.

On top of it being refreshing to have a master turn to the dark side rather than the apprentice, I really like how the picture they paint of him is clearly someone more so against a corrupt Republic and Jedi council, and has fairly legitimate reasons for feeling that way, rather than someone who's truly in favor of the ways of the dark side the same way Palpatine is.
It really makes him a lot more tragic as it's so clear how Palpatine would use all of that to manipulate him, it's not like Maul or Anakin who were far more impressionable and pliable given their relative youth, Dooku is an older, beaten down man with a clear standpoint informed by years of experience.
