The fish of a thousand catch. It's been a few years since I've fished the Cowlitz. Miss the beauty of the surrounding. Fish or no fish. It's very relaxing, passing the time out there.

That's a good way to look at your business. Make the customer happy and everything else will fall into place! Also I subscribe to the same attitude as you... if I don't catch a fish then hey, worst case scenario is that I still went fishin that day! Could be worse lol
That's the problem compared to years back when a guy was fishing a run you left him alone and went some where else. It was called courtesy and my father taught me when I first started fishing with him back in the 50s that you dont intrude on another man's water. I tried for years to follow that lesson but in the last 10 years I've found there are very few courteous fishermen left and it's turned into either combat fishing or people that only want to catch a fish and they don't care about anyone else as long as they can catch a fish. I know I'll take flak for what I just said from the new wave fishermen ,but I also know the guys who believe as I do may not comment but agree with what ive said. Luckily I had 60 years of great fishing with a lot of really courteous great fishermen I became life long friends with. Sadly most of those old duffer like me have either got sick of the way it is now and hung up thier rods or have went to that great water that we all are going to go someday. God bless ,treat everyone with courtesy and just enjoy the pleasure of fishing and realize catching fish should just be a bonus and just enjoy the experience of being on a river .
I hear you. I've seen so many old timers who lived on and fished the river pass away including my dad, it's weird to think, I'm the old timer now and everyone who owned property there are gone and people who own there now don't even fish. Thanks for watching.
Curious if you ever try back trolling plugs or a diver and bait? Seems like with the current you could cover so much water this way. Thanks for sharing

As fas I know they don't post it. It all depends on the Chinook eggs they collect. Once they rea h their collection goals they move the sign. Good luck.
Man this is the best idea now just build a little a frame and put 2 bunk beds in it and start your own guide service and BNB for your clients hardly any overhead expenses

How do you have those downrigger mounts set up? Are they drilled through the boat?
They are screwed into the gunnel with loctite.

What is your boat setup? Year model and motors?
It's a 2012 Smokercraft Sportsman 1660 with a Merc 60/40 jet. Kicker is a 9.9. it's 16' 7" long with an 86" beam.
