Loving the videos man, really inspiring me for my upcoming outdoors. The vids and your teaching has really improved me physically and more importantly mentally in my sessions, bringing me so much motivation to be finally back in good shape. Exited and am supporting you all the way to Paris 👏🇫🇷.
Here’s one for you how much slower would xc cross country spikes make you in comparison to a sprint spike in 100m 😅. Seeing the level your at you may be able to provide a good explanation to this ?
You’d probably be a couple of tenths slower I’d guess, mostly due to Sprint spikes being stiffer which equates to more efficient force return, especially with the carbon plates in the newer spikes. It’s hard to estimate accurately!
As a track runner going through my jr year of high school I do really appreciate the videos you post. I have no doubts that you'll break that 20 mark. Keep up the good work!
It would be lovely if you could post an overview of your youth career, analizing your progression during these years (in terms of times, form, training methods, out-of-track good habits etc) while giving tips to young sprinters ❤🙏 I'm sure it would be helpful to many to see a pro talking about his growth in the sport
So you are more a 'come from behind' guy? Is that because you figured it out as the smartest strategy. Our is your speed endurance ahead of your acceleration? I think the first.
Yeah it’s mostly factored into the race plan, but I’m looking to take off around 0.15 from my bend to make the perfect race model. Theres been times where I’ve fallen too far into the relaxation and it’s caused me to give up too much ground
@@joeferguson200 I think you do well. I prefer finishing strong over winning the curve. The fastest 200 was run that way. At the end it's probably about who gets the highest top speed.
Damn... you #1 only had you beaten by Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, and you beat the great Adam Gemili!! wow!
It was a great day 🙏🏼
Running for the DEA man.. we should have known with the shades.
The DEA?🤣
@joeferguson200 Aye City of Sheffield and DEA.. The guy in lane 6 was City of Manchester and CIA..
your gonna go 19 in no time keep up the good work!
🙏🏼🤝
0:15 nice seeing u today😊
Hey Joe, as a young sprinter myself, I really appreciate these videos. Super motivational. Keep up the great work and kill it this season!!
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoy the videos, all the best to you too!
Your average will move to 20.31 this year 🙏🏻
🙏🏼🔥
Brother you are leaning so early on some of these 😭😭😭
Yeah it’s been an issue🤣 I’m working on it

Great video and useful for those of us who don't normally follow sprinting to catch up with your running background. Keep up the superb work! 👏
I’m glad you enjoyed! I thought it would be good to give everyone some context from my last results for the upcoming season
Crazy to think that olympians are running low 19 sec when sub 21 looks already super fast
The standard in the 200m overall is the highest it’s ever been I believe, these days you need a 19.7 for global medals!
What spikes do you use for the 200m? I need to get new ones soon and I figured I’d ask you because I enjoy your content and love your running style
I use the Adizero Prime SP2, I’m glad you enjoy the content, good luck for the season!

This is something I’ve thought about and at some point I’ll make this video for sure!
Thanks alot for this video you make sprinting less scary
I’m glad you enjoyed! The journey continues 🙏🏼
bro thanks for sharing what you know in your videos you have help me a lot just by seeing you do your best

Good video - well done
Thank you!
Dude’s built like a 60 meter runner (thick calves and thighs) I’m surprised he’d choose the 200m over the 100m
I’m actually quite lightweight for a sprinter (70kg) and my speed endurance is my strength so the 200m just kind of made sense to me
Thanks sir 🙏
🙏🏼
I need a 200m race plan🥲
Try out some different strategies and when you find what works it’ll click!
@@joeferguson200 appreciate the advice usually I just go out there and run😭
@@joeferguson200 Goodluck for the rest of the season I honestly hope you run some crazy times this year
@@jadonplays1011 Thank you, and all the best to you too!
lane 1 is such a bad lane for the 200
It’s really not ideal, but still managed to run some fast times from it🙏🏼
