Let’s see an emissions tractor sit for 20 years and run like that one. She quit hazing after the second pass. What a beast!!!! Just think how much better it will run with some fresh diesel and fuel additives in it.
Hopefully those few acres were just the first of many that the old girl will be able to work for you. I have really enjoyed the videos on the 1800 and all of your other tractors and look forward to seeing you have a successful planting season.
She's going from strength to strength by the time you were doing that 3rd stripe the smoke had gone 👍 it's also a good looking tractor that will be something special again once you've finished working your magic on it.👌
Awesome job Jt. Everything seems to be working like you planned, however, it sounds as though the hydraulic pump is cavitating a bit especially when first started up. With as many years as it sat idle, it may not hurt to think about adding some hydraulic oil conditioner to the system which would help reseal some of the o-rings throughout. Just a thought and suggestion. As always, you produce great bring-em back to life videos.
There is a future in farming for a young man who is willing to use older machinery to keep the costs down. I was your age during 80's farm crisis and saw it happen guys my age. Keep it going!
The best entertainment on a Sunday evening in the UK, JT cultivating some good looking soil with a good looking MF tractor. Well done on putting this 1800 back where it belongs JT, and thank you for another great video 👍
Very good work Mr JT. The antique Persian carpet clearly did its thing; old Cat engine just needed a warm, loaded fart to clear up. Seems well matched to that implement as the work-up was smooth and Fergy did it easy. Bit quicker maybe? From Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
Ok, now that I see it's the deluxe model with under pedal side to middle carpeting... It's a keeper for sure! Love the video's JT! Thanks from middle of farm country in Northern Illinois.
The 'ol 1800 is looking and sounding good!! I ran our MF 1805 on our 16' chisel plow on Friday....first time we've turned dirt here in WNY. Hopefully your stretch of decent weather continues!
Again JT you are to be commended. A poor neglected machine is now loud and proud again. It certainly looked right at home with that field cultivator. I’m going to pay more attention to your channel.
Advance auto parts have a great header coat paint with high temperature ceramic bond agent in it, called Plastic Coat , its great for your manifolds,I believe the satin black is the best and to me,and my experience with using it, it's actually washable if you get wet clay soil or other dirt splash on it when the pipes are hot . The dirt had flashed dry on it and after the pipes cooled down,I found that I could just wipe the stain right off, without recoating it ,nice stuff
Sure great to see the old iron doing what it was designed to do. Not a lot of plastic to break, computer chips to fail, or def in the wrong tank kind of machine. Just a tractor made to pull a plow.
Great to see her doing what she is supposed to do. And like all those old engines, they just need a good load put through them to get back into shape. Looking forward to the upcoming field work videos!
For to finish the tractor off you need to do mud guards on back get one inch steel for edge of flat three foot steel make it like green bard 🚜 and put on steps Two that what we did and it stop mud and stones hitting the back window and you could fill that diesel tank better and put your light on top of guards 😅 It will finish the tractor off good luck I joy the old girl like look power I am 210 HP it cheep with been big my 100 hp goes through 160 dollars a day doing a d
Does my sole good to see you in the dirt with the old lady . Really nice flying carpet on the floor , I have them everywhere . Great video JT , keep on making them 👍
When you did “one more lap” I had to chuckle because I know exactly what it’s like when you’re having fun and don’t want to go home. Almost want to call the neighbors and ask if they wanted any tillage done huh? 😂 This is going to be a nice rig for you.
From my desk it looks like you are having entirely too much fun !! But if I was the one in the dirt under those tractors I might be pining for that desk job. Congrats on making a lot of hard work look so enjoyable, and on a long list of successful projects !!!
It could do with a bit of fitted carpet underneath your bit of fancy carpet . A nice bit of Axminster would be nice. All the best from England, i just love the 1200 model as well.
Looks like the old Massey 1800 is ready to do some work ,it’s amazing what you can get done with a piece of equipment that some on thought was scrap ,Gettner done 🤠👍
Looks like the 1800 just needed to work a little bit. The smoke didn’t take too long to clear up. Hopefully it starts better and doesn’t use a bunch of oil. Thanks for the Videos.
Excellent video JT :) also knew 1800 Massey Ferguson tractor do job for you and had 100 % faith in you said first ! Also nice rotation tractors for feild work , crop put in also take off and transport to farm to farm or anywhere! Excellent work out for sure 👍 JT :) !
Cleaned right up with a a good load. Got to love those old caterpillars! Figured she would worst case a set of injectors bit you don’t even need those at this point.
The old girl had to go back to work. All that TLC you gave her . Went worked it a bit the smoke cleared up. Love to see the old stuff brought back to life.
Awesome video, love to see the older girls still working. Enjoy watching you knowledge and expertise on the work horses. Good luck in the future and Happy plowing!!
Congratulations on your string of successes, or lucky breaks. I am speaking of your recent forklift and garden tractor will it start videos. Wishing you continued success
Years ago when I was farming with a older fellow; we ran a Massey 1800 for a couple of years. We added a turbo charger to the engine and probably went up a gear while doing tillage. This lasted for a day or two, then the engine blew-up putting a rod through the block. That was the end of my Massey experience.
Let’s see an emissions tractor sit for 20 years and run like that one. She quit hazing after the second pass. What a beast!!!! Just think how much better it will run with some fresh diesel and fuel additives in it.
For sure! It’ll get better and better!
You just gotta love these old V 8 chuggers.
They just keep on chuggn.
Right on!
Beautiful tractor and nice to see it coming back to life. And that workout on the field did it good.
Thanks 👍
Had a big smile on my face watching the Massey go to work. I love seeing old forgotten equipment brought back to life.
Right on!
The old girl worked like it was meant to work. It was good to see the exhaust clear up , a good work out does wonders.
Yes it does!
Hopefully those few acres were just the first of many that the old girl will be able to work for you. I have really enjoyed the videos on the 1800 and all of your other tractors and look forward to seeing you have a successful planting season.
Thanks! I hope so too!
That's what it's all about... bringing something left for dead and bringing it back to life, and back to work! Great job 👍👍
Thanks!
She's going from strength to strength by the time you were doing that 3rd stripe the smoke had gone 👍 it's also a good looking tractor that will be something special again once you've finished working your magic on it.👌
Right on! Thanks!
whauw No sweat and no smoke. Perfect!
Perfect comment
She’s gonna be a runner!

I think a jug of the Lucas hydraulic booster would sure help!
Awesome. Love to see old farm tractors come back to life.
Right on! Thanks!
I love seeing these old machines being rescued and being used again, well done 👍
Many thanks!
There is a future in farming for a young man who is willing to use older machinery to keep the costs down. I was your age during 80's farm crisis and saw it happen guys my age. Keep it going!

Right on!
It’s great to see the 1800 going again! Good job.
Thanks again!
The best entertainment on a Sunday evening in the UK, JT cultivating some good looking soil with a good looking MF tractor. Well done on putting this 1800 back where it belongs JT, and thank you for another great video 👍
Thank you!
It starts, it runs, it steers and it stopped smoking!😮 I like the fancy carpet but really, let's get a shift knob!😊

You and me both!
Love all the old Massey on your farm JT, even better that it's functional! Love older tractors still working the land
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Seat time in the 1800 ! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Enjoyed every minute watching!
Right on! Thanks Scott! Just about ready for a lot of seat time in the old masseys soon!
Great video JT. That big grin running up and down the field reminds me of being 13 doing field work for the first time on the big case.
Right on! Always makes me smile when one of these oldies gets back to work!
Seems like the 30 footer is about perfect on my 1805, figured the 00 would like it too.
Next fall I’ll have to put it on the chisel and let it rip!
Ok, now that I see it's the deluxe model with under pedal side to middle carpeting... It's a keeper for sure! Love the video's JT! Thanks from middle of farm country in Northern Illinois.

Now that calls for 2 beers!! Happy for you as you did so much work on it. The Old girl should do you proud this season.
Right on! I think she will!!
What an old Sweetheart.
You did good!
It does kinda tickles me to see POWER STEERING on the wheel.
I couldn't imagine it being without it.
Ha! I don’t think a guy could muscle that more than once without it lol
WELL DONE JT !!
Thanks!
Again JT you are to be commended. A poor neglected machine is now loud and proud again. It certainly looked right at home with that field cultivator. I’m going to pay more attention to your channel.

I think she earned her tachometer fixed and a new paint job she looked liked she did a good job
Right on! Was thinking that too!
Great to see her doing what she is supposed to do. And like all those old engines, they just need a good load put through them to get back into shape. Looking forward to the upcoming field work videos!

When you did “one more lap” I had to chuckle because I know exactly what it’s like when you’re having fun and don’t want to go home. Almost want to call the neighbors and ask if they wanted any tillage done huh? 😂 This is going to be a nice rig for you.
You nailed it 😉. I think she’s gonna be real nice all done!
That heat cycle would have been great for the engine.
From my desk it looks like you are having entirely too much fun !! But if I was the one in the dirt under those tractors I might be pining for that desk job. Congrats on making a lot of hard work look so enjoyable, and on a long list of successful projects !!!
I was indeed having a blast! I did a desk/cubicle job for a few years….

So happy that you got the old girl back in the field.
Hard work is paying off.
Have a Great upcoming week 😊
Thanks, you too!
A piece of that shinny flex hard alum duct, they use on dryers ,stoves, etc would look nice on that air tube,,most likely fit also
Looks like the 1800 just needed to work a little bit. The smoke didn’t take too long to clear up. Hopefully it starts better and doesn’t use a bunch of oil. Thanks for the Videos.
Fingers crossed! Thanks!
Hey Joe,,,nicely done!! Shame that beast was abandoned. Very cool to see her stretch her legs again. Another fine, blue mountain moment. Cheers 🍻

Can’t wait to see it after u paint it!
I think that will be the first project in the new shop
You don't need duals on that one ,the way it's set up,,it properly came from out west on the large wheat fields
Gonna have to start contracting soon, got that much kit now 😍
😉
Ole Girl getting the job done! Great to see old equipment at work. When’s the John Deere planters going to put some corn seed in the ground?
Very soon!
The Turd is working like a champ.
Thanks
After 20 years it's due to make some rounds
Years ago when I was farming with a older fellow; we ran a Massey 1800 for a couple of years. We added a turbo charger to the engine and probably went up a gear while doing tillage. This lasted for a day or two, then the engine blew-up putting a rod through the block. That was the end of my Massey experience.
Well, I can see how putting a turbo on that motor would ruin it. I don’t think the bottom end of those were meant for that
Sad the Massey got the blame for a throw away CAT Engine.
True. Was thinking that myself
A pryometer would be nice,so to see how hot things are running inside your engine under pulling loads
Wow JT. She cleaned up after a few rounds on that field. See if there's any puddles under her after sitting overnight. 😊😊
So far so good!
