JT, u had done and did it again! you have made my day just watching u run ur Massey 1800 Tractor on ur fields. I think that Fluffy was happy that it went great..
That tractor sounds perfect, she sounds really good with no wear sounds in her engine and gear box and with the Hydraulic tank moved it lets more air around the engine. Out of all your tractors she really sounds the best. Not to mention these big flotation tyres, she will cause very little compaction to the ground resulting in better field drainage and letting your crop root better. I bet you have the best crops using that machine, weather permitting of course. You did an amazing job on her, she will be a credit to you and your work.. Now, the yellow peril?
JT: on older cab tractors, we used to get seconds mudflaps from a local manufacturer. We would line the floor with them. They cut down on noise in the cab. They also cut down on the heat coming from underneath.
Nice to see the 1800 in the field, doing what it was intended to do. We had an 1805 that had a 250 hp 3208 cat in it, it would pull pretty good. I loved working it hard on the soil saver at night, it would make the exhaust manifolds glow and blow a flame out the top of the stack about 6”. Once I figured that out, I watched it for a little bit then dropped a gear. It was always a fairly reliable tractor, we updated the dog bone and traded it off on a 2870 Case, that old tractor was a horse, but slow down the road. Thanks for the Videos, JT. Hopefully you got beans planted in time for the rain.
We used to have a John Deere 5020 pulling 40 ft of cultivator. We bought a 1500 MF four wheel drive first thing my Uncle said after working the first field I ' I never shifted all day' They pulled great!!
I’m guessing with your ground and your implements the 1800 probably has enough grip on those tires. The main thing is that the work gets done and the crops planted. Great job JT you earned that beverage.
Hey Joe,,,the 1800 has really come around. No smoking really, new dress clothes, pretty sweet. Be really interesting to see it hitched up to an 8 bottom moldboard.
Rather see seagulls than geese. Especially those free loaders... canada geese😂😂 Good to see the 1800 working out. Free beer and a grilled steak from JT's grill.🤔 I know I could find a tractor driver for fall harvest or spring seeding. What a sight turd ferguson and the red tractor with a wide backend in the same field 👍
Hi JT, LOVE the old tractors , I once had a HARRY FERGUSON TO30 ,it was a great little tractor. Keep on Farming my friend, OH and that cold beer is calling my name. YEE HAW 😂.
Credit to you JT, and credit to MF for producing tractors, that after a little tlc, are still capable of getting the job done. The shots of you in the field look like they’re from the 70’s sales brochure for that model. Love the MF’s of that era, and love your channel. Best wishes for a great harvest from the UK mate 👍
You are happy and proud of buying that old girl then buying and replacing parts/paint. Couple tires. Now you got a good old work horse to use. I have enjoyed watching it from dragging it home all the work you have done. Thanks for taking us along, get the seeds in the ground and watch em grow.
Hey JT, that's the best looking 1800 in the county!! OK, maybe the State!😊 And remember, "Everything will be ok in the end. So if things aren't ok, it isn't the end"!😊 I saw 40 PSI on the oil pressure gauge. That ain't bad!
Ya sideswipe a cultivator on the road & it will efficiently eliminate all sheet metal on the LH side of a Chevette ...seen it done , pretty impressive Old girl looks very happy to be back at it , ya done well
Great video as always, that 1800 was blowing so much smoke when you first started it i thought the engine was junk but now she’s done some work it’s as clean as a whistle.👍
She's a real country lady! Loves to be dressed up and pretty, but don't mind getting down 'N' dirty. Hope y'all got yer planting in, and had a good weekend.
I am a thinking that is gonna be a great addition to the farm.. Man you did a great job of putting the shine on the ol girl. I bet it must feel great to be a small hobby farmer with equipment that is rebuilt and works as good now as it did 20-30-40-50 years ago..Old iron is the best iron. see ya on the next one..
Hey JT. Been awhile. Forget what the" turd" is but I don't remember you having a 1085, that's the "turd" aka 💩. Looks like that field could use a crumbler
Cannot wait to see the refurb on the inside of the 1800 cab. New and refurbished gauges will make the tractor fill new again. BTW you live in Michigan (Go Buckeyes) lol. The shifter knobs in your 1805 someone should have a printer that would make an exact copy for your 1800.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 just an ask , u know I restore ole skool MF , 1200, 1250 , could u give me a shout out , mention on your next vid if any of your subscribers/ followers are interested ?! Be appreciated 👍👍Massey Dave
Hey JT glad to see you drinking propel try the Aldi brand if you can get to an Audi up there it actually takes better than propel does here in Kentucky it's only 799 a case stop drinking Coke products 2 years ago I now drink nothing but water and Aldi brand of propel love the content truly enjoy watching you farming can unfortunately watch you do just about anything you motivate me to get off my butt and do things thank you for that keep up the great work can't wait to see what you do next a fan from Kentucky
We been doing the one finger boogie since the mid 50's. GM cars and the big Chrysler's were the easiest. Before "road feel" was a thing, it was all about ease of operation 😁
I hope that you get more time working on the MF1800 this summer before the harvest. Do you have any idea why the engine oil pressure is little bit low? Is the previous mentioned engine blow-by excessive or normal? Have you done a cylinder pressure test yet just to know how even they are? I am impressed how good tractor you got for the price you payed.
I don’t think the blow by is bad at all, I haven’t done a compression test on it, I only have a gas tester so I wouldn’t be able to. I’m sure I’ll be running her more. Still have to do fuel filter and change the oil once more
Gunna be tons of organic matter in that dirt now. First year crop probly won’t do to great but second year once all that foliage has broken down it’ll be a wicked field for corn
Don’t hear the fire department on the way so must be a keeper. When you drove there wasn’t more smoke coming out the blow by tube than out the exhaust pipe so another good sign
JT, I love to see the older machines still grinding it out in the fields instead of rusting away in the scrap pile. Thank you for making it happen!
You bet!
I don't know how I missed this one but it's a good one. This Fergie is one of the best looking I've ever seen. Big muscle.
Right on!
This is amazing! The engine doesn't even smoke! Congratulations!
Thank you very much!
I love the fact that you farm with older equipment. No payments! ❤
Right on! The only way I can make a buck lol
You make it all look easy
What a workhorse! A little tlc and anew addition to the fleet. You get that cab refined and you have a keeper.
The cab kit will be done this winter!
I just love watching you work with your old but serviceable machinery then switch over and watch the millennial Farmer. The contrast is extraordinary.
Right on! I can appreciate that! He has some outstanding equipment
JT, u had done and did it again! you have made my day just watching u run ur Massey 1800 Tractor on ur fields. I think that Fluffy was happy that it went great..
I think she was too!
What a good old tractor. After a good pull like she just purrs. Got to love a caterpillar

Very cool!
Love those Masseys. Great old tractors.
Thanks!
Great update JT, for a hydraulic tank that wasn’t going to work, it sure seems to be doing pretty good
Right! Better than ever!

Well JT the 1800 massey looks and sounds awesome 👌🏻 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
Great looking tractor! Maybe you've already covered this but why Massey's? Keep up the great videos!
I’ve always liked them, had a Massey dealer in town when I was a kid, and grew up on them
Excellent video JT :) also yes 1972 Massey Ferguson 1800 doing super well on working out and you have lots excellent years with her!

She’ll run 40-45 in the field. About 20-25 idling
40-45 hot and working is pretty good. As you know, engine and oil temperature are critical. Keep r in the green! Best wishes on this year's harvest!
That made a great looking tractor.
Thanks!
Great Video, Fantastic tractor, thanks for sharing
Thank you very much!
Nice to see it back at work. It sounds good.
Thanks!
The old stuff is so much better than new stuff. In a way ruffer ride maybe but who cares I got a 2954 Ford NAA tractor love this stuff

Grand job there JT she's definitely doing the job ❤👏👏
Right on! It didn’t disappoint lol
man you really got to put the spins on that steering wheel to get that thing to turn!
Different orbital, really have to give it to her lol
O big ass shining again! Tractor looks killer!
Thanks!
Nice video JT wish I had that tractor what a work horse
Right on!
Very nice. With some cab work it will be even quieter. Nice to see that 70s equipment working.
Enjoy the videos.👍
Right on! Thanks! The cab foam sure will help!
Mr. Ferguson was a genius.
😉
The V8 CAT engines did not have much oil pressure even new. I would perform a engine flush at the next oil change to help the oil passages
Right on! I’ll give that a shot!
She looks great and looks like she did a great job and the field behind the barn looks like it growing good
Thanks! It’s coming along nicely!

1972 Massy Ferguson for the win. 👍🏻😂
