    Nice vid.
Truth is Rice is the best purchase Arsenal has made since we bought a certain blonde "prince" from Inter in '95.
He's not the best ever purchase- that would be The King, TH14 but he's definitely the 2nd or 3rd best purchase this club has made in the last 30 years.
Let's be real here, as sweet as Ode's left foot and as electric a baller Saka is, without the hammer in a velvet glove in our midfield, we would be at pieces in nearly all these close games we've had AND won.
Saliba staying healthy in the stretch (unlike last year) and a more composed Gabriel beside him makes Rice even better than he already was at West Ham- and that's exactly what we have been benefitting from this season. Rice makes EVERYBODY better because he's the main release valve for pressure. He can soak up nearly any midfield press, he can win aieral duels, he can tackle in the clutch, he can score from range and most importantly he can pick a pass and advance out of the 8 into the 6 on the fly. He's the very rare, complete baller at 25yrs of age!!!
Imho, Trossard is the extra bow on top of the absolute prize that we have in Rice. Oh, and Kiwior has been nothing short of magnificent since his introduction. Outside of Raya yesterday, he was our man of the match for his pocketing of Evanilson and Galeno as they switched out down his flank. He had some sublime defensive stops at critical moments that NO ONE would have expected of such a young and inexperienced fullback.
These 3 players are the BIG BIG difference makers this year. Raya's distribution of the ball as we build up play is a massive improvement over Ramsdale and his handling of corners is also superior to Ramsdale but this was somewhat expected as he was suppose to be an improvement on what we had in goal. Rice... has been beyond the wildest expectations and considering he is delivering all this under the pressure of the highest price the club has ever paid for a player is even more impressive.
Tbvh, if we get Timber healthy and in the line up for the final 2 months of the season and everyone else is healthy, I see us lifting the trophy come May.
    👑💯

Its called a system. Arsenal wont be stopped this year. Arteta has built a near rock solid defense and a deadly attack. On top of that, last season as good as they were it was a learning stage. Its clear to see. This season,Arteta has taken them a step further at least. On top of that last season they were losing players at this stage of the season. This year players are coming back from injuries. Theres no coincidence that Pep Guardiola talks about Arsenal in alot of press conferences. Thats because he's worried. Kudos to Mikel Arteta. Compared to last season, we have more depth, more height, and more tactical flexability. This doesn't guarentee us any trophy, we are surely getting closer. On top of that, this project isn't finished yet. Our young player will develop and get better, and we will be looking to strenghten every summer. We are indeed, scary.

  • @arunnm24
    @arunnm24 7 месяцев назад

I think our press and defense are our strongest points this season. The opposition cannot score if they can't get the ball in good positions, and they can't get in good positions if we win the ball back high. Arsenal were capable of doing this against weaker opposition last season, but they have improved tremendously this season, and are capable of doing it against much better opposition. The first half against Newcastle was a great example of this. And Kai and Declan's importance to this cannot be understated. Kai's physicality is such a bonus in the press, as well as winning aerials and second balls. And the way Declan reads the play and anticipates when to jump up and win the ball back is mindblowing to watch. There was a phase of play against Newcastle, where the opposition centre backs were passing it between themselves, and Declan had already started sprinting forward - 2 seconds later they pass it to Guimaraes and guess who's there to slide in from behind to win the ball back and create a scoring opportunity?
And if somehow you get through the first 2 lines of pressure, you then have the absolute tanks that are Gabriel and Saliba to face. While Saliba gets most of the praise, I would argue that Gabriel has been the better centre back and T3 players in the squad this season. Limiting City and Liverpool to a handful of shots on target is no joke. I don't know if we are going to win the league or not, but if we do, our defense will be the reason why.

Two points: 1. Arteta has been really good at adjusting the tactics to overcome potential issues and unlock the potential of rotations in the final third while consistently allowing the team to build from the back. 2. The success of the signings is due to the team having a clearly defined playstyle, allowing the manager time to polish it, and involving him in the recruiting decisions. Liverpool are another great example of that.

And we had no truly capable backup to make up for the losses of Saliba and Partey. This year, we have good backup, and also, all of our players are actually getting healthy for the run-in. Jesus, Partey, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, and even Timber (although unlikely to play much). We're been on a tear without these players, and now they are all back in the squad and healthy. From playing in the relegation play-off last season, to being almost assured of a spot in the UCL this season and I think that they surpassed their points total from last season, before December was even over. They are only 4 points behind Bayern, and are tied for the second best defense, with Bayern. This team definitely felt like it came out of nowhere, and I think has been flying a bit under the radar, because of what Leverkusen are doing, and the disfunction Bayern are in

I have a feeling like there might be one more season before we actually win EPL or UCL. But can't be not optimistic about this team. They are doing really well. Bench is stacked. We have players coming back from injury. Only Martinelli is missing. But Trossard is no easy man to face.

We bossed the league for the major part of last season. Left, right and center we kept getting "This is just a fluke. Watch how Arsenal crumble next season. The other teams in the league have just been poor, that's why they're where they are. With other teams strengthening next season, Arsenal may not even get CL football." Yet another season and we're top of the league again. Are we going to win it? I pray. But people need to zip it with their opinions - they know nothing, and most times it's just their bias talking. This Arsenal team is on course to dominating the P/CL for a long time if it stays together. Kudos to Mikel and the players for the fantastic job and progress.

Tbh I think getting rid of Leno a few years ago was a mistake since he's as good on the ball as Raya but not as prone to errors. He simply had a really bad defensive line in front of him (Mustafi, Kolasinac...) which made him look bad sometimes. I still think he's better than Henderson and Raya and would increase Arsenal's title chances.

That Liverpool plot armour is not stopping them from falling foul of vindictive officiating. Yes. It's not corruption per se. Just a lot of refs that seem to have a problem with Jürgen Klopp calling out their incompetence and also blatantly calling for reforms that the PGMOL are unwilling to make. You know I'm right. Paul Tierney has reffed 3 times more Liverpool games than the next ref but has still not given a Kop end penalty to Liverpool in 7 years. He also has never given a VAR overturn in Liverpool's favour. Ever. Guess when he started that ? When Steven Gerrard called him out in his autobiography and said he didn't like Tierney. Funny that isn't it. It's also funny that there hasn't been an opponent sent of against Liverpool for 2 bookable offences. That's 2 yellow cards for those daft ones. The only red cards opponents have received have been straight red. That means when you get a yellow against Liverpool, you're damn well not getting a second yellow. The stats are all there if you're willing to dig into it. But who's willing, since it's not their team. The problem is, it will be their team someday. That's why every fan feels the refs are biased against them. Wait till your manager or player says something a ref doesn't like, then it will be your turn. Mikel Arteta was crowing about Liverpool moving on after the Spurs debacle, but when it happened to his team he changed his tune. Guess the manager who first called out the issue? Jürgen Klopp. Now he's getting persecuted for it. If we keep cowering before the refs pretty soon they'll be too powerful and it may take something drastic to take back that power. If we as fans, who are the real owners of football can even get our power back.
I just might start watching Group A rally instead. Or non- league football. At least they have refs you can actually go for a pint with.

Personally, I'm a Liverpool and United fan. I have no idea what the Premier League season is going to do. I know last year for a good chunk of the season Arsenal were at the top but let it slip away. It's possible that will happen again, it's also possible they'll win. I didn't have a ton of hope for Liverpool this year, even with them playing much better, but once Klopp said he is leaving after the season, I said welp, a treble at least, if not a quadruple. Now, it's not a genuine treble, it's like a quasi-treble or quasi-quadruple because it's the Europa League they'd have to win, but I think they're gonna have at least 2 trophies this year, but we'll see. I'll say this, I'd much rather Arsenal win than for City to win.......again. I HATE City. I'm neither for or against Arsenal. I watch at least 7 different leagues though so I can't get too in detail on all the specifics, but I'd say it's at least a 50/50 chance Arsenal wins.

This assumes that their guilty. But Honestly if they are guilty. I think they are justified in doing do FFP only benefits the top 4 teams(Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Liverpool)
Just look at Villa, they are now challenging for CL football but due to FFP they might be forced to sell someone like Watkins. So if the rules are rigged for four clubs favor, i think every other PL club would be justified in breaking those stupid and unfair rules.
