Just got my hair relaxed for the first time yesterday. After watching your videos for a month, I got the courage to do so. My hair is currently where your hair used to be (neck length/top of shoulders). I never intended to go natural, but I lost a lot of hair due to low iron, So I had to cut my hair. I’d been counting down until I could relax it. I really want the unlay oil but I live in Canada 😭😭. I have high hopes that my hair will definitely grow fast. Everyone in my family has long thick hair, so I’m hoping with these tips, I’ll be good. Thanks a lot!
Hello. I’m just seeing your comment. Welcome back to relaxed hair 😆!!! Good hair genes 🧬 definitely helps... and as long as you maintain healthy hair behaviors ... your good. Reach out on your hair journey if you have any question at all. Here to help!! Thank you for watching ❤️
I really loved this video. About a year ago I created a mixture of mineral water with drops of rosemary oil, coconut oil, olive oil, rose water, and tea tree oil. I really do believe it works. I shaved my hair off in 2020 and just let it grow out naturally. This year I decided to relax it back in May and my hair is above shoulder length. I think it's better to know your natural moisturizers found in some herbs and oils then inundating the hair and scalp with those commercial brands. You can mix the oils yourself.
@Jennifer Sylvia Hello!!! Thank you for updating me on your progress. I love hearing that people are finding my tips and recommendations helpful! So glad you are seeing growth ❤️
Hi there! I'm 14 and my mother relaxed my hair when I was 8. Everything went down from there. It was ruined because she didn't know anything about hair care and I was...well 8. I've been growing healthy hair recently and now I want to grow it longer(like thick, voluminous, long bra-strap-and-longer length hair). But my mother doesn't think I can get my hair that long. I live in Jamaica so resources are limited. So will these products be able to help me? Cause I *really* want to prove her wrong and I think your hair is sooo perfect.
Hello. I love your spirit. Prove them wrong when they say you can’t 💪🏾 You absolutely CAN grow long healthy relaxed hair! I would definitely recommend using protective styles .... box braid, cornrows... to reach your goal. The hair oils I mention will also help to increase scalp circulation and speed up growth. I don’t believe Unlay ships to Jamaican but try to find an all natural hair oil available in your area. Or make one yourself. Do daily scalp massage ( they really do help) and try to limit the heat you use on your hair. Other than that just have patience... you will get there. Reach out with any other questions and good luck on your hair journey ❤️
Hi there sweetheart, I also live in Jamaica. Castor oil is a really good product that you can also use, I try to use it on my scalp alone because it's a little heavy on the hair. It's pretty affordable but you have to be consistent. Also, most of the products that she used can be found at Discount Hair and more in Half way Tree and if not on Amazon. I hope I helped a little.
I live in jamaica too love. Our resources aren’t limited. everything we can get online and shipped to us with the millions of shipping companies we have. I’m sure our beauty stores have stuff. Plus get ur hair maintained by a professional hairdresser at least monthly.
Hello! If you use hair oils... this one is the way to go. I love that its all natural ❤️ Im waiting on your daily routine and fav products because whatever your doing, your doing it right!! #goals lol. Thank for watching
Thank you for watching ! I usually apply unlay as need for (shine only) when my hair is freshly styled. Once my style is old (usually the second week) I apply daily until I wash. I describe this process in more detail in my gain and retain length video if your interested 💕
I took your advice I stopped using the creams I used jojoba oil though it makes my hair feel so good, I need to get the rosemary oil, I just got me rosewater, said it's good as a moisturizer
Glad your having success with the jojoba oil! It’s the hardest thing figuring out what works for our hair....but once we do.... the growth is amazing 🤩
Right! I’m still trying to figure out 😞😞 But I want the Unlay and I got to get Rosemary! I have peppermint and lavender but she didn’t mention lavender but she has peppermint.
Thanks for listing natural stuff for relaxed hair. Do you know what conditioner and shampoo one can use for relaxed hair? I am also looking for something to make my hair soft, my relaxed hair is corasely hard, dry and crunchy. My natural pre relaxer was also that way. Thanks.
To have your hair soft, you need to use products that add moisture into your hair. You also need to deep condition weekly -moisture shampoo Moisture conditioner Then moisturize your hair daily or every other day.
I agree you should deep condition every 1-2 weeks. I would also wash with a moisturizing shampoo. It doesn’t lather as much as traditional shampoos so strips your hair less. Moroccanoil moisturizing shampoo and conditioner are pretty good but a little on the pricey side.
First time visiting your channel. Do you apply your relaxer with the Rosemary oil in your hair. Or do you wash the Rosemary oil out before applying the relaxer. Does it even matter? Thanks.
New subscriber here. I found your channel a couple of days ago and I watch your videos as much as I can with time available. I enjoy how thorough and honest your opinions are and you get right to the point. I have been using Olaplex (the entire line) about a month and you are correct. You have to use this at least two to three times a week. I am doing at least twice a week (every three or four days) and I do notice some difference. I even had a co-worker mention this morning that my hair is getting thicker. I will have to try Living Proof. Keep making these awesome and extremely useful and helpful videos. Blessings to you and your family. I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Iyana, I want to get the products you mentioned in this video but I couldn't see the names you were talking with your hands moving the products. I would appreciate if you can list the 5 products. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this video.

Can you do a video about how often you should cut your ends I think I’m scissor happy when it comes to my end and trying to keep them looking perfect when is causing me to lose length ❤️
Hello. That was me too. I actually still struggle with this. Lol. But I realized that constant trimming was keeping me at shoulder length. I will definitely do a video on this! Others may also find it helpful. Thanks for the idea lol 💕
Hello. My go to product that really helped me to see grow and retain length is Unlay Hair Oil. Its vegan and all natural. It Cleared up my dry scalp and my growth really took off from there. I also love Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil strengthen and restore conditioner as well as their manuka honey and yogurt leave in moisturizer. These are the main products in my hair care routine. Thank for watching 💕
Hello. Yesss. I used Unlay on my sons scalp when he was only 4 months. He suffered from very bad cradle cap and had bald spots and hair loss from the lesions. It not only regrew his hair but soothed his inflamed scalp. Thats you when I started using it myself
Unlay is much lighter than most hair oils I’ve tried on the market. It doesn’t contain the heavier oils ( like castor oil) to really weigh down the hair. Plus it has the aloe Vera. That said it is a hair oil so if your hair is fine I would use closer to your wash day and when your hair is damp ( prior to styling).
Hello! Yes I relax my own hair. I have a video on my channel of me doing so. I use the optimum relaxer which comes with a protectant. I use it to coat my hair although it’s meant for the scalp. I also spray my scalp and hair with oil leading up to my relaxer day which SLOWS the relaxer process. Some overlapping in unavoidable though.
I usually only use the Rosemary oil in thinning areas. So I spray a bit of the Unlay into my palm and add a drop or two of the Rosemary oil. I then use my finger to mix the oils and apply it directly to the thinning area.
@Ianna Yvonne Thanks. My bang area has thinned, so I will try the rosemary oil and unlay. Do you recommend unlay if you don't ever apply heat? I always wear updos and I air dry my hair. Thanks for your hair advice.
Hello. Thanks you for watching. I will link the website below. I provide the links to all products mentions in the description box below each video royalcynhairinc.com/shop/ols/products/unlay
Hello! Thanks for watching 💕 Yes, that is what I do if I notice thinning or a bald patch ( from protective styles). It really works to regrow the area quickly.
Hello! I have tried the 10 in one growth oil. I had a minor reaction to one (or more) of the ingredients in it and had to stop using it. It was scalp redness and tenderness that went away after two days but I have no idea which ingredient caused that response. If you purchase it test in one area before using on entire head/scalp. Unlay does not contain peppermint.
1.rosemary oil
2.unlay hair oil
3.Mielle oil
