    Ik it is exceptionally rare, but I love the Italian sallets with the armet (sparrow's beak) visors!

      I do like that design of the sallet with an armet visor. Rare makes it more special! As for my sallet, it didn’t list a measurement when I bought it but I’ll guess 16ga. I din’t have callipers so I can’t measure to check. It’s heavy but bot annoyingly heavy. Thus my guess.

    Great content. I agree with your comment about painting, it is a labor saving decision. Cold Steel has their black coating on many of their products. It eliminates the metal finishing steps. I have used vinegar to remove the Cold Steel black/blue on their arming sword & English bill. I have pics on Instagram. Cheers.

    • @LaurenDangerShaw
      @LaurenDangerShaw  3 года назад +1

      Moving back should be intuitive when attacked but many students in class close the distance when they should step back, so it does take some training for some people. Who knew? ;)

      On the other hand, getting in there before things are in full swing can be a pretty valid course of action.

    • @LaurenDangerShaw

    you can sacrifice a bit of visibility when you fight in formation. You rely on the men to your right and left to cover what you cant see, as they rely on you to cover theirs.
