Also, if you place a mug on the NFC portion of the transmitter your coffee will stay warm and there is a little know addition of steel cutting plasma laser. The 7PX almost does it all! Great, comprehensive, review Brett.
Well, I had a Magnum Jr, 3PKS, 4PKS......This is just TOOO BadAss! Airplane Radios, 7UAPS, 9ZWC2, 14MZ.......all I can say, every top end Futaba has been worth the price.
Not that i have the money to but either version (T_T) but the price difference between the two is ridiculuous, 700 for the standard and 900 for the LE... 200 for a different grip and finish?
The complete Carbon Fiber finish probably has a good amount of costs associated with that. It's a premium product for the high end user. It's kind of like a super car, it turns the heads of everyone, but few can afford to own one. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies I know for the ko propo rr the carbon gloss finish costs a good bit more vs the standard matte black of the ex-2. I've heard the ex-2 is the same as the rr just without the carbon finish.
I say for the price point the LE isnt gonna sell out to fast lol I'll just stick with the 100 to 150 range on radios so I can still afford vehicals to run them on but overall that is a nice radio
Is there a way to program this radio to have line lock similarly to how the Traxxas red button transmitter operates? I have been playing around with no prep RC and it would be great to be able to program one of the push switches to make this an option.
Yeah, you should be able to do that. I don't believe the transmitter has a "line lock" feature, but if you're using a servo to lock up the front tires, the transmitter will allow for any programming to make that happen. With a servo, it would probably be a two position lock, and unlock. Hit the switch, locks the front. Hit it again, unlocks front. Something like that? -Brett
Without having one in my hands I couldn't tell you which switch is what; it's been a few years since I've held one. I can tell you it has plenty of switches to choose from in both varieties. Every switch you see on there is programmable, including all the trim rockers. It's the most flexible transmitter there is for surface use. -Brett
Hello i have a redcat tr-sc10e and was wondering when is it good to upgrade transmitters? Would something like the transmitter you have be way to much for my truck? What would the 7 channels do on my truck?
For typical R/C surface vehicle use, you only need two channels: Steering and Throttle. The remaining channels are open for you to use as auxiliary channels. For drifters, rock crawlers, tanks, etc., the extra channels can control accessories, like LED lighting control, winches and more. This is not typical for racers, because performance is paramount and accessories add unnecessary weight and complexity. For your needs, you would probably benefit from upgrading your transmitter system, but this Futaba 7PX may be too much of an upgrade for your needs, and I would recommend you view the Futaba 4PM. It features 4-channels, many advanced features, and for half cost of 7PX. AMain Hobbies ok i was looking at the futaba t4pm with the r334sbs reciever just wondering if it would work with my sw1211sg servo
@@LuisLopez-ed7oc That servo should work fine in that system. Both that receiver and servo will operate at High Voltage specs too (7.4V).

What's the differences between these and the latest version, the R, Brett?
The R is mainly lighter weight with other design and ergonomic updates.
