Hello Dan.
You’ve absolutely hit the nail on the head about the First Doctor - that he’s a very difficult Doctor to play.
I’d even go so far as to say - having enjoyed (privately) doing impressions of (mainly) Pertwee and T Baker all my life - that the Hartnell Original is by far THE MOST difficult.
And taking on this challenge was extremely daunting.
Thankfully, many - if not all😉- fans have appreciated the work I’ve put into it.
And I’m delighted that you’ve been, in your own words, ‘sold by Stephen Noonan as the First Doctor’. 🙂
Excellent review in general, Dan.
It’s fascinating to have an insight into the genesis of the seminal televised story.
And, as you say, this works very much on that level; not as a canonical prequel.
All the best,
Stephen
👌😁
Thank you very much. Great to hear from you
Not listened to this audio but just generally I like to think of all extended media (unless specifically stated like the unbounds) as part of the main Doctor Who timeline.
Normally I do see everything as part of the same timeline, but with the lost story releases I see them as alternative. Mostly because if you laid everything out I don't like the idea that there are two serials that are very similar right next to each other on the timeline.
@@danjohnsonDW that doesn’t bother me. The old multi-Doctor adventure amnesia pretty much covers it.
