@Scr33ch there's actually a lot of different abilities. In secon son alone, Delsin gets like 4 powers, plus, his base ability which is to absorb other peoples powers. In infamous 2 Cole can choose between getting ice and fire powers, plus all the conduits he fights along the way. The canonical ending of the game us Cole choses to make all the conduits live and have powers. So, it could theoretically be possible, yes. I think it would make for an awesome game
villian gang for life. (me) i remember when fos was the only raids and people would ask to meet at the teleporters to inspect your gear to see if it was worth going in . if only SoE didnt sell and kept the game i think it would have been beautiful
I first started playing this game back in 2016 because my niece heard about it so I downloaded it for her to play and she wanted me to play it for her on the scary missions (she was young) little did I know I would create my own character and get addicted and play for hours… she recently just turned 15 and I was like “you remember us playing dc universe” she was like “yeah you used to kick me off the game just so you could play uncle Mikie 😑” I was like nah did I? I don’t remember that at all! 😭😭 I love that lil girl and that game too!!
I quit playing about 4 years ago because the grind was intense getting between tiers. Returned and was astounded by how much better they made it. Now you have tons of side options for gear upgrades, so you're never stuck praying for the perfect loot drop, there's always something coming. They made matchmaking way better and let heroes and villains mingle on Suicide Squad missions. If you're outside the CR range, they will boost or demote you so you can still have a good challenge and still find decent drops while youhelp out newbs or join vets on raids. Used to take forever to find a mission as a villain, now its about 2 minutes tops before you get matched and readied. The players seem a bit nicer too... the first few waves had a lot of kids and jerks and farmers. Now it's mostly old vets and DC fanboys, so everybody's more chill and fun to be around than before. They made a little hangout/merchant area for both heroes and villains to mingle. It makes dueling feats way quicker. As the guy said, you no longer have to pay money to have fun. Before I used to just buy each episode as it came out, since it took me months to get the gear to get to the next tier anyhow... subscription just wasnt worth it. Now I find myself playing for free and nabbing a few items here or there from the market. I enjoy it way more, I play more, I spend more, I am happier. Hope it sticks around another decade.
This game was absolutely everything when I first started my DC Universe journey. The only thing that's stopping me from playing it currently; is that it has issues running on the PS5. It'll crash during certain actions like reviving/respawning etc. But if they release a patch that fix these issues, I'll definitely start playing again.

Played for about 2-3 years starting in late summer 2013 and quit early 2016... we started whenever Nexus and Wave were peak end game, and the Trigun DLC was launching within about a month of me starting. Loved playing this game for a very long time, and I would say it holds some of my fondest memories in or out of the gaming world. Some of that could have been the people, as I was playing with my then gf(both started same time, first game together too), and we slowly met friends, joined a league for a while as we learned the ropes, left the league when we had mastered the game, and built a small but very competent league of our own. I remember when we barely knew how to even play our roles, and I couldn't tank worth a damn when I tried. Struggling on the bridge in FOS2 for literally hours on end with randoms before we knew how to use LFG. The first runs through Gates and Prime were some of the best raid experiences to date. Same with the challenge of pre-nerfed Nexus and Wave...holy shit Paradox Wave. Sooooo many deaths, but sooo satisfying to beat, and eventually fully conquer with the main room 5 bosses at once fight(forget the feat for it, but damn was it hard when we got it). Nexus was no slouch either, with all the batmans, fuuuuck ninja batman. Stopped playing around the time they introduced the CR point scaling where stats were basically irrelevant and if you were 1 cr below the opponent you were basically half battle power. I know thats been changed since then, but last time I checked the game out I was overwhelmed with all the new stuff. I'm debating trying it out again, but would have to start completely from scratch as I don't have a console to play on anymore. Checking out a couple of your videos to see if its worth a try. Also somewhat on the fence due to those memories, as I won't have any of that friend group available to play, and don't know anyone I could get to join so need some new friends. I prefer villain as to hero, not sure if it even matters anymore with however the servers work for instances.
I'd pass. It's not the same game it used to be. Every update they release makes the game progressively worse. Don't ruin your great memories of the game with what it's become.
@@propheinx2250 I tried it. Tbh it wasn't horrible. And I came from the time before episodes(was dlc), before daybreak games(soe). I joined 2 weeks before celestial power dropped. Quit when the first "episode" and "cr matters/stats" came out. I'd say what's there now is infinitely better than the phase it was in when I quit. Hell, the fact I was able to jump on and run "old tier" tier 1-6 (up to war of light/Amazon fury/New Genesis stuff) just by queuing up, and they were level capped was nice. Got to enjoy a lot of my old favorite raids and alerts as I was grinding my artifacts up, with a bunch of new players even surprisingly. I honestly had a great time. I just didn't have a league anymore, and no friends interested in a return, so got bored of it after a month or so. I also realized I had almost no interest in playing and learning new content as I unlocked it. Kinda too late to the game feeling. Was nice to come back, and after unlocking some artifact tiers, be able to match or be top DPS, and an outstanding healer, using celestial which is considered a fairly low tier power currently. Still looks like it suffers from power of the week roulette too. All said, you are right though. Probably best to leave that part of my gaming history in the past. If I see one of my old friends playing it, I may jump in, but otherwise, it was an amazing experience. I wouldn't trade the time I did have originally for almost anything. I honestly was spending most of my time just visiting places I had fond memories of. But then realizing it was the people who made those memories fond, not the location. Dcuo just happened to be where we hung out. I miss them, not the game so much.

I used to play back in the day with my sis and friends, man, i feel nostalgic now, we used to play every single day since it came out for years, now we´re playing FFXIV but we still have the love feelings for DCUO, sooooooo many memories
I was able to overcome the addiction of this game a while ago, it was the best decision of my life. Now it's nothing but nostalgia from a great childhood. As an og from 2011 and a big DC fan, I recommend it. But if you have a hard time with pay-to-win stuff, then this game is not for you.
@@DeangeloLaw The only thing keeping me hooked up was the team strategy and the mechanics because the graphics can't even justify why they canceled the ps3 servers😂 As a fire tank, I've always been loyal to my power. People used to think fire was weak because of the lack of shields but I've always been a fan of being seen as the underdog is games. Players nowadays probably know all the secrets of fire tanking but back then no one knew why I was able to solo bosses without the need of a healer and a troll is some occasions. All you really need to know is how to time that hard light shield properly and the rest is just heals and mainly health specs on skill points with some dominance mods to provide better aggro and for your shield to last longer. Absorb heat was my trump card, if you block you cancel the animation but you still get the heals from it and they are the biggest green numbers you'll ever see. Not even Elon Musk can make those.
I remember during COVID they let you play all the DLC for free and I GRINDED it for hours with my best friend. I got to live out my childhood a second time and it was great :)

Been playing since 2012 but I stopped and came back almost 2 years ago but on a new account and got to cr 410 622 sp and I took breaks between the almost 2 years of launching this game on a new account. It’s fun to play with friends for sure and I don’t see myself getting too far without them since with like minded mindsets you can get things done. But even if friends quit or not I will still play this game and focus on my character.
Randomly remembered this game out of the blue, I remember back in 2010 it was my dads birthday and we were going to a restaurant but my older brothers stayed home on the wait screen for like 2 hours just to play this game. I miss those times
I've been playing since 2011 it's a better free game now than when it started ☺ unless you want to get into Elite content You Can level up your artifacts at your own pace for free
First time I played this game might’ve been 2020 but I loved running around but I was dying so much and I had my goth Harley Quinn inspired character. I came back the other day and started actually professing and the game I played almost all night now I’m planning on playing this game almost every night. It’s cool seeing your character we actually have the same idea my character also can fly and uses a gun but I use fire instead. Game finally gave me something to do with people and listen to music. And it’s got some of the nicest community I’ve seen in an online game. People will randomly help you and add you to their group and stuff it’s awesome.
My older cousin showed me this game when i was a kid and it made me fall in love with dc and gaming in general because he was the older cousin that was cool and let me play his games he died couple years ago rip pharoh
I really miss this game. I started on the PS3 when it first came out. I only stopped playing when I got rid of my PS4 and bought an Xbox. I just wish they allowed me to transfer my characters over to the Xbox. This game definitely needs a sequel.
If they didn't neglect PVP the way they did then I'd probably still be playing. I still remember how epic those 8v8 and 4v4 area battles were. While the PvE content was ok, it was the PvP content/battles that reallly made this game fun for me.
This game dropped on my birthday back in 2011, i played the hell out of it. I still play to this day, i use a sorcery pet build and can dps with the best of them
I was a OG OG player, when the game first came out, my god this was the HEAT. i had power lvl 300 and everything lol, to anyone who hasnt tried out this game ur missing out fr
I'm a OG player I remember when it was pay to play and this game was supposed to compete with WOW, but it failed horribly. I remember making numerous email addresses so I could keep playing the free trail lol.
Started playing the game the first week or so it released on Xbox lmao. I'll never fully quit the game. I have so many friends that play still. It's still fun and very very different than how it was in the beginning.
Used to love this game so much. Then they started screwing with every aspect of the game until it sucked. It taught me a valuable lesson though. Never get into an mmo, because your nostalgia will bite you when you want to play a game that doesn't exist anymore.
I played this on and off from launch. I remember when Dual Pistols was considered the worst weapon to use until the glitch combo was found. I use to top the damage in every run and surpas the Gadget power users (considered one of the best powers back at launch).
OG with the holy trinity of powers before all, then u grew and friend left and its not fun playing alone but the game still look dope, i allways keep check on the game and wait to come back
Payed it back when it was relased. You could go full game without subscribtion when you paid 160$ when i remember correctly. Also it was possible to take down highlevel player in PvP when you where skilled with your powers and CCs. I played it when WoW got to tidious for me and needed a fresh start at something. Still remember fondly when me and my brother kicked AREA51 as dmg/healer Duo
I definitely use to play this back in 2012 and stopped a few months after they added weapon mastery. The one thing I was disappointed in with this game was how they changed green lantern. The precious based og version was so good. I would always enjoy spamming combos. I even remembered when they had the busted fan glitch. 😅
I got into the game back when it wasn't free to play. Not gonna lie, I sort of wanna get back into it at some point, but there's SO much DLC and stuff to do with memberships.
Day one player here, lifetime membership, villain, sorc, hand blasters, bow, and dual wield, used to be so broken i would solo 8 mans, names zeal the fallen, game and my league took over my life so don't play anymore but jesus do i wish i could, spent thousands and had almost every cosmetic for the time, i still have an original unused plasmaic aura in my bank
i played this game back in 2011 a friend introduced it to me and I enjoyed every second I played this game and for some reason I just stopped playing it after a few months of playing. I will admit this thought I did think about going back to play this game but never pulled the trigger on that yet
I played the beta in 2010 and on release day. My name was Suprman. Logged in yesterday just to see my name was given to someone else even though I had been subscribed the entire time. Very sad day.
I was an OG player. Havent played since 2013 right after the green lantuarn power was released. All i can remember was my mentor was circie and i could use demon powers as a green lantuarn 😅
Y'all just had to be there when the game was at it's peak. We had all out PvP wars against opposing players in Robinson Park, on top of Starlabs, Metropolis Park, and etc. Had the Devs there too fighting each other. There was a point there was so much players fighting each other in one location it crashed the consoles.

When I was a kid I used to play this game like there was no tomorrow and I had hella fun with my guild, Moonlight Order still miss yall
I haven't played this in a LOOOONG TIME! I pre-ordered my copy from GameStop, and when it came out there was a bad snow storm and all my friends was playing it, but me. So my dad took me to GameStop so i could go pick it up. Good days.
I used to play back in the day with my sis and friends, man, i feel nostalgic now, we used to play every single day since it came out for years, now we´re playing FFXIV but we still have the love feelings for DCUO, sooooooo many memories
2011, picked it up again a few weeks ago. Can honestly say, it amazes me how good it is now.
Is all the "end game" stuff behind paid dlc walls still?
I was able to overcome the addiction of this game a while ago, it was the best decision of my life. Now it's nothing but nostalgia from a great childhood. As an og from 2011 and a big DC fan, I recommend it. But if you have a hard time with pay-to-win stuff, then this game is not for you.
Lawdawgll..this game had me in a choke up..I kw spent thousands..replay badges, bundle boxes, and I bought in game with PSN cards
Bruh I’ve always asked for an open world super hero game where you can choose powers and never knew this existed 🤦♂️😂
Started playing this game back in 2012 on the ps3 waiting an hour just to log on lmao…still play to this day and grinding for lvl 400 🙌
I remember during COVID they let you play all the DLC for free and I GRINDED it for hours with my best friend. I got to live out my childhood a second time and it was great :)
Your friends sounds like the type to tell you "Let's finish our castle tomorrow" in Minecraft, only to be last online 9 years ago.
I was a OG player back in 2011. Gadgets player.
i was an og og, played in the beta all the way through for like 4 years straight. dont think ill comeback but i loved every second and all the memories i made playing too.
This game is addicting. When it came out I was a noob stuck at lvl 30 and now I go back every few years to feel like a noob on a CR300
its so great so seee more and more youtubers try to somewhat revive the game, I've been playing it for mby 5 years and I still think it's one of the best MMOs out there, love the vid btw
I remember getting this on my ps3 and it taking over a week to install/download😄😪
Now playing on ps5 and still loving it
My wife, 2 kids (10y girl, 8y boy) and i recently started playing and e have so much fun together
Ive been on this game since 2012. Made so many memories with friends. I play it sometimes now. Still love my hardlight
8:42
I thought I was TWEEEAKING when I saw Jiren appear😂
Been playing since 2012 but I stopped and came back almost 2 years ago but on a new account and got to cr 410 622 sp and I took breaks between the almost 2 years of launching this game on a new account. It’s fun to play with friends for sure and I don’t see myself getting too far without them since with like minded mindsets you can get things done. But even if friends quit or not I will still play this game and focus on my character.
What did you do to get the SP I’m CR 396 but I’ve got really low SP
Randomly remembered this game out of the blue, I remember back in 2010 it was my dads birthday and we were going to a restaurant but my older brothers stayed home on the wait screen for like 2 hours just to play this game. I miss those times
Im still enjoying this game… so underrated
OG since 2011. Some of y’all will never experience a PVP War. Truly good times.
People will randomly help you and add you to their group and stuff it’s awesome.
ahh the amount of money i spent on this game , Dcuo is a gem
My older cousin showed me this game when i was a kid and it made me fall in love with dc and gaming in general because he was the older cousin that was cool and let me play his games he died couple years ago rip pharoh
Imma get on the game again
My condolences for your loss.
When they make a dc universe 2, the world will be a better place
Thank you for making this I been thinking bout getting back on but didn’t Kno if you could play passed Lv 30 .. i use to play back in 2012
I'm a OG player I remember when it was pay to play and this game was supposed to compete with WOW, but it failed horribly. I remember making numerous email addresses so I could keep playing the free trail lol.
Started playing the game the first week or so it released on Xbox lmao. I'll never fully quit the game. I have so many friends that play still. It's still fun and very very different than how it was in the beginning.
Played on Day 1. Fighting villains at Kumite Park in Metropolis was great.
Since you're getting familiar again with the game... Mental is really great when you're in DPS role.
Played this when it first came out. Loved having friends on it. Wish I could get it back
Used to love this game so much. Then they started screwing with every aspect of the game until it sucked. It taught me a valuable lesson though. Never get into an mmo, because your nostalgia will bite you when you want to play a game that doesn't exist anymore.
You decide to type and did speak no lie I feel the same as you everything is all different and backwards
I played this on and off from launch. I remember when Dual Pistols was considered the worst weapon to use until the glitch combo was found. I use to top the damage in every run and surpas the Gadget power users (considered one of the best powers back at launch).
2011 OG here. I give the game it's credit and I'm impressed with its longevity... but nothing hit like City of Heroes/Villains.
Bruh I played this as a kid around 2013 and I’m playing it again
It's way better than when it first released, I remember having to roll a dice to get a loot drop after a 2 hour long raid 😂
OG with the holy trinity of powers before all, then u grew and friend left and its not fun playing alone but the game still look dope, i allways keep check on the game and wait to come back
Also, you don't have to pay to upgrade your artifacts. You CAN buy source marks but there's so much content you could just grind for it.
0:45 did bro just metioned super hero squad????😳😳 nah youre a real og 😤😤😤😤
Wow spmeone actually not crying about DC rare
So much fun flying in this game. Going about Metropolis and Gotham.
who is old enought to remember city of heroes and city of villains ? What a bast it was... RIP this gem
I forgot about that game! That's crazy that it's still going on! I'll have to check it out!
My favorite game of all time I remember staying at level 29 doing pvps 4v4s 5v5s with wolf form and being unstoppable
I first played it in the summer of 2013. It was a very fun game and I played with my brother and sister.
I can't wait for the graphics and combat update. Taking forever tho.
To this day, my favorite raid was fighting the Anti Monitor
I started playing about a decade ago with my best friend we used to have a lot of fun playing it
I got into the game back when it wasn't free to play.
Man nature was where it was at, turning invisible withe dog and fighting people was fun.
My Uncle brought this, unreal tournament, and COD for the pc way back when they all dropped. Only reason I ever played PC
I think I played this game around when I had a PS3 and then later on PS4. So I'd say around 2015-2017. I haven't touched this game in over 3 years
I played the beta in 2010 and on release day. My name was Suprman. Logged in yesterday just to see my name was given to someone else even though I had been subscribed the entire time. Very sad day.
Og og this game slapped back in the day for a mmo on console it’s one of the best
