The fact this is cannon and is mentioned in injustice 2 is insane, if you buy or bought the dlc and u use raiden and subzero against superman or somebody they fought, their interactions is peak🙉

During MK11’s story mode there’s flashbacks to other timelines and in one of them you see Liu and Raiden fighting on Apokoklips

EXACTLY. This game was unique as hell, had mad combos, a small but great roster with of all the greats from each side and the only thing people paid attention to is the fact that there's no gore😂😂. The story was decent but likable at the same time. Dark Khan is honestly a "Meh" boss but he's fun to fight on hard difficulty.

For us young kids at the time who parents got it for us to avoid the gorey stuff this game was the bomb and mine and many other younger fans gateway into MK. Although i like MKX/MK11/Mk1 way more I still have fond memories of the game.

when i was a kid this game was the closest i had actually got to an mortal combat game and everytime i heard flawless victory it was just a masterpeice

You're only halfway done to get the full experience, you'll have to play the Mortal Kombat side of the story mode. That's why when you start story mode it says "choose your side".
Ok I'm not the only one thinking that. He and alot of others might not even know cause they ain't old enough or just never picked it up.
A mortal Kombat vs injustice game coming out now would actually be pretty sick. Should be a setting to turn it rated M or T, whichever you want

You should play the Mortal Kombat side of the campaign now. It's actually amazing to see all of the loose ends tie up after playing the second side.

For me 2008 was one of the best years of gaming . I bought that year this game , metal gear 4,gta 4 , lbp, Starwars, midnight club , dead space, nfs, mirror edge , dmc 4 ,Etc…..
I used to just use the cheats in GTA 4 n go to the hospital n kill everyone or try n cross the bridge (I didn’t play story mode to unlock that part of the map Lmfao)
I remember playing this for the first, and I was so hyped because it was mk vs. dc characters

I really think the feature with when u drop off buildings and go to the streets or go to a lower level and beat the shit out of ur opponent while it’s happening is like really advanced for its time and should be added to another mk game. And that grab where u have a chance to dodge by guessing ur opponents button they press is really cool too. They should at least add the features back to a future mk game.

This was my first mk game and a childhood favorite, I honestly don’t understand most of the hate when the point of a game is to play it, not watch it, and I had fun playing game, yeah there’s some minor issues but it’s a good game and everyone can agree it changed mortal Kombat, with better story telling, to great voice actors, so much of this game is redone or reused in mk9 like designs, hud layouts and even maps, this game should get more praise for what it’s done then just hating over lacking fatals the rage meter

When I got my PS3 this was the first game I played and I had so much fun with it. It was also my first exposure to MK and got me into the other games
Never had I been as obsessed with a game as this one! Got to 98th in the world at one point! Sweet memories of the adrenaline pumping in online pvp fights... I know it gets a lot of hate, but for me, it can't be beat! Thanks for the content!

Man its wild to think that people born in 2008 are in high school now. I remember playing this game in 8th grade. Such a fun game, underrated cause people wanted real fatalities. Maybe one day we get some sort of sequel. DC is trying to make a come back and MK is just as popular as ever. Hell, theyre having peacemaker as a dlc character so its possible

I remember having to go to my uncles house to play this game and I went there everyday during the summer trying to become better than him but always getting my ass handed to me. That whole summer i only beat him about 3 or 4 times
I remember renting this back when it was new, and I was amazed at how good it legitimately was, despite the license mash-up.
Also, wasn't this the game that introduced the cinematic single player campaign w/ occasional mini games to to the MK series? It deserves at least some respect for introducing this as a new staple for fighting games.

It was better than I expected. Fatalities were my only complaint from what I remember. Story mode and especially Dark Khan were cool to me

There’re two sides of the story mode to play through. That was only the DC universe perspective.

The way catwoman is built, she isn't jiggling too much, early 2000's women didn't have that jelly like they have it now
pls play marvel vs capcom its a good cross over game with people like ryu chun li spiderman hawkeye and more and it has a pretty decent story mode but i just wanted you to play that next

I was 7 at the time and i loved the game. The graphics were so realistic to me at the time. I played the story so many times and the kombo challenges were so fun. But i will say that the combo potential did suck and even at the time i didn't like any of the fatalities. Still a childhood favourite

I remember having this game and actually like it, jank aside. The story is campy enough to work for DC comics crossovers and honestly it is quite sad we never got the tons of dlc they planned

2008 was much like 2012 in the sense that so many great games dropped that year back when video games were good and not empty shells to drain peoples wallets
MK vs. DCU was SUCH a good game. So fkn underrated. If it weren’t for this game coming as a trial in a GameInformer issue all those years ago, I never would’ve been introduced to MK. I feel like there’s at least a few other peoples who’s first introduction to MK was also through that trial disk. Not to mention Scorpion & Sub-Zero’s designs in this hands were so sick. Glad this game is getting some love through your channel. (P.S. RIP GameInformer🥲)

MK vs DC was actually the first MK game i played. It was fun and i appreciate the memories it gave me. It's not that good of a game but i love it for what it is!
You know in retrospect I'm glad Mk vs dc was rated T. I just wish they'd taken the rating as a challenge to create new interesting super moves.
