Yeah, I was waiting for him to pop up and talk about Flavortown or something. Guy was still sort of new at this time, Phelps was breaking records in the Olympics back in like 2006 or around that time.

*Setting: The same suburban neighborhood. Three male friends-**Dave**, **Mike**, and **Steve**-are hanging out, casually marking their territory while chatting about their day. Meanwhile, the women in the neighborhood react positively, almost flirtatiously, to certain men’s "marks."*

**Dave:** (Stretching) Man, long week at work. I’ve been looking forward to just relaxing today.
**Mike:** (Nods) Same here. Oh, hang on. (Walks over to a tree, lifts his leg, and starts “marking” it casually while continuing the conversation.) Anyway, Dave, how’s the new project going?
**Dave:** (Unfazed) Pretty good. Gonna wrap it up next week. (Suddenly pauses, sniffs the air dramatically.) Hold on a sec. (Walks over to a fire hydrant and marks it, then resumes chatting.) So yeah, I’m ready for a chill weekend.
(As this happens, **Amy** and **Lindsay** walk by, noticing Mike and Dave marking the tree and hydrant. Amy’s eyes widen, and she nudges Lindsay.)
**Amy:** (Whispering, intrigued) Did you see that? Mike just marked the tree by my house. That’s like… prime territory.
**Lindsay:** (Smirking) Oh, I know. He’s got great taste. Plus, that spot near the hydrant? Total power move.
**Amy:** (Swooning) He *always* marks the best spots.
(They continue walking, sneaking glances back at Mike, who’s oblivious. **Karen** joins them, noticing the situation.)
**Karen:** (Grinning) Oh, look at Steve. He just marked that lamppost by my place last week. I mean, honestly, he’s probably the best marker on the block.
**Lindsay:** (Nods) Yeah, it’s all about confidence. And precision. Steve’s really got it down.
**Karen:** (Giggles) You know what they say… a man who marks well, knows what he’s doing.
(Steve, overhearing bits of this, smiles smugly as he leans against the lamppost, lifting his leg to mark it again while casually talking to his friends.)
**Steve:** (Glancing over his shoulder) You hear that, guys? The ladies love a well-marked lamppost. (Winks at them.)
**Mike:** (Chuckles) Yeah, but I think I’ve got them beat with that big oak tree near the park. (Lifts his leg and marks another spot, all while continuing the conversation.) So, what are you guys doing for dinner later?
(**Jessica**, a new neighbor, walks by and immediately perks up when she sees Mike marking the tree.)
**Jessica:** (Excitedly) Oh my god, Mike just marked that oak tree near the park! That’s, like, the best tree in the whole neighborhood.
**Amy:** (Nods) I know, right? It’s so bold. I mean, no one else would even *dare*.
**Jessica:** (Dreamily) He’s such an alpha when it comes to marking. I wonder if he’s single?
(Meanwhile, **Karen** is checking out Steve’s latest territory claim on the lamppost.)
**Karen:** (Flirtatiously) Steve, you really know how to mark a lamppost. It’s… very impressive.
**Steve:** (Casually) Oh, you know, just doing what I do. Gotta keep things organized. (Winks.)
(He marks the lamppost again, while **Lindsay** and **Amy** swoon.)
**Lindsay:** (Sighing) If only all men were as good at marking as Mike and Steve.
**Amy:** (Nods) Yeah, it’s like… a real sign of commitment. You can tell they take care of their spaces.

*Back at the group, the guys are casually discussing their weekend plans.*
**Dave:** (Nonchalant) So, thinking of hitting the game later. You guys in?
**Mike:** (Lifting his leg to mark another spot, not missing a beat) Yeah, sounds good. Maybe grab a beer after?
**Steve:** (Also marking the same spot) For sure. Gotta get in a good workout first though. I’ve been slacking on marking all week.
(As they talk, **Karen** leans over to **Jessica**.)
**Karen:** (Whispering) Did you see Dave just double-mark with Steve? That’s like… next-level territory management.
**Jessica:** (Eyes wide) I know! I mean, they make it look so easy, but there’s definitely an art to it.
**Lindsay:** (Laughing) I always say, it’s not just *where* they mark, it’s *how* they do it. Mike’s got that smooth, confident approach.
**Amy:** (Grinning) Oh, absolutely. I mean, look at the way he handles that fence over there.
(**Mike** casually walks over to a nearby fence, lifts his leg, and marks it. **Jessica** watches in awe.)
**Jessica:** (Softly) He’s just so… territorial. I love it.

**Steve:** (Also marking a different part of the tree) Sounds good to me. You guys catch the game last night?
**Dave:** (Lifting his leg to mark a mailbox) Yeah, it was a good one. Close game.
(**Amy**, **Karen**, and **Jessica** watch from a distance, giggling and nodding approvingly.)
**Amy:** (Sighing) It’s just so… primal, you know?
**Karen:** (Smiling) Yeah. And yet, somehow… really attractive.
