Great video..where are you located...I have a 05 hummer h2 and my power motor for heat and ac is not working...I tested / checked fuses all good...took blower motor out and tested all good...what's wrong
I should add I can watch my compressor cycle on and off every 30 or so seconds, and I've filled it with freon based on the ac pro setup gauge.
I know this video is a couple years old but do you remember if the door you had in the picture to replace the broken door ended up being the right one? I have the same problem on a customer's truck and gm is saying that door is discontinued.
Well (( F )) me I just got back on a rd trip in my 05 HUMMER H2 we put up with no A/C at all because it blows hot on driver side and cold on passenger side... Saw the fuse trick... tried the fuse trick... FAILED
Saw where it could be that it is low on freeon and so I charged it some booom... so far it's back to blowing cold on driver side AGAIN we shall see if it's that way tomorrow... Fingers crossed 🤞📿🇺🇸
Wow, didn't know all this stuff gets inside like this. I just took apart our 05 H2 dash because we have cold air on the passenger side and hot air on the driver side. Still trying g to figure out which part is broken. I check the doors, they all stop as they should. Mist be one of the actuators.
Most often it is a bad blend door actuator but the H2 video was put up because the blend door itself broke.
Damn how long did it take to repair all that!!! I nearly shit when he opened the door!

I have a quick question for you, on the Yukon that we have, it switches back and forth. Sometimes the driver has Heat, sometimes the passenger will have heat. Pull over and shut the vehicle off wait a minute started back up you have AC for about 10 minutes. Is that the same actuator?
Can be actuator but probably not a broken door because it does switch. Sound like you need to perform a reset on actuators. Look up a video on how to do that.
Is there a part number for that door?
Nothing I do resolves mine, I feel the DS blend door rotate, air is never cool and always blows from defrosters. Any ideas? 03 lux.

Damn my ac is on full but it doesnt blow a lot of air wonder if it's that "radiator" lol I really don't want to take out my dash like that lol
I believe there are 3 actuators on these hummers, which one was this?
There are 4 total if i remember correctly. One on the end by pass door that controls fresh air. One on top center that controls passengers side blend door, one on bottom center that controls drivers side blend door and the forth one is close to drivers gas pedal that controls defroster and vent air
You do a evap core and heater core while in it
How much did all of this work cost?
This is bs, there is 6 fuses you pull rest hummer install fuses drive away happy instead of tearing the inside up, never seen such stupid fix

So, for future reference, be sure to listen to what people are saying. I understand that you're trying to help here because there are situations where the actuators just need to be reset/calibrated. One gets stuck in the wrong position and needs the system reset. If that doesn't work, then it's most likely the motor in the actuator has failed and needs to be replaced. If you've found yourself having to do the fuse/battery reset every couple months, this usually means that the motor is starting to fail, is losing torque, and failing to rotate the door and will likely need to be replaced in the near future. If the blend door has been in the wrong position for a while, was attempted to be repaired/reset several times, then it's possible that the door will eventually break off since the motor is trying to move the door in a direction that it can no longer rotate in. The motor doesn't know where the door is when you're doing all this. Obviously, if you listen, this is exactly what happened here. The door has to be replaced and there's no fuse that has anything to do with a broken plastic part. This is the equivalent of breaking the key off in the ignition and saying it's the starter fuse.
