In this video we take a Hummer H2 and fix some serious eye sore rust and rot. This is supposed to be a luxury SUV that has serious 4x4 capabilities. We can't have it looking like a rusted out winter beater! Tim used to have one of these and it had amazing towing, and could climb just about anything put in front of it. But not doing those things often and not needing to spend Hummer H2 money on gas, it didn't make sense to keep it. With this project we only needed to repair the rear wheel arches. Once the rust and rot was cut out of the Hummer, it was time to custom make patch panels as we couldn't find any to buy. Once the hummer was sanded down. We sprayed primer on any exposed metal and body filler and prepared it for paint. we removed the masking and reassembled the truck. We did experience a little issue in the finish of the paint on one side, but that happens sometimes and you just have to deal with it! So we did!
We have another project coming out next week so keep an eye out for that!

Killer work! Black is one of the hardest to colour match as it shows so many imperfections. Cam did a stellar job on this! Killer metal and bodywork as well. That Tim guy tho, I think he needs to pickup the paintgun sooner or later. 😊

Thank you! Yes black can be very tricky! And Tim will definitely have to get on the gun at some point! He has done some furniture spraying in the past!

Have you guy discovered SEM trim paint yet?
For these late 90s early 2000s cars that have lots of gray and black plastic the stuff makes it look almost new and it's a permanent fix unlike the trim restore stuff they sell at the parts stores.

Are you the producer/camera man and cam is your friend that paints or what?

Ya, we both love working on cars. Cam is better with cars than I am and I am better with the cameras/editing than cam is. But I've done a few rebuilds too. And Cam does set up the cameras for shots when I'm not around. We launched this together and try and share the work load
