Loving the one video for all things money 💵
Honestly me too! It makes so much more sense to do it this way🤓💸
Carter your budget videos aren’t short and empty - i look forward to this content monthly.
Yes! Love the flow of this video, closing out last months budget and setting up the next month. Love a whole video dedicated to finances ❤
Yay I'm so glad!!!
I’m living for the cozy corner set-up!
I love this spaced out format!!!! Please do a review on factor meals!
Would love to see a video on buying a home from a cost perspective- i.e. what to the incentive refunds look like (does it come off at tax season), how does the first time home buyer incentive work, what are the hidden costs etc.
I filmed this video a few years back when we were first time homebuyers! This time will look abit different since we don't get those incentives again but I will be filming that if and when we move!
Love the budget videos as they are great for me when trying to figure out spending and savings.
Glad you like them!
Your budget template is so cute!
I didn't make it so I can't take credit! Just one I love and use🥰
Perfect t timing! I'm about to start revamping my budget 😬
You got this!
Hi Carter happy Wednesday night and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
I am an accounting intern and I am currently saving to be able to pay myself next semester when I have a heavier/more difficult course load, so that I do not have to work as much :)
That's so smart to do!!! Love that 👏🏻
Would love to see a business finances/budget video!
Right as I start my budget!!!
WOOOOO💸🫶🏻
I just found your page and I love it! The information is amazing
HI WELCOME! So happy that you're here!!
I enjoyed this video! I would love to see one on your business etc and how that works. My goal this month is to get a full time job. I quit mine (with no real plan) to pursue content creation/social media and I underestimated how long it takes to actually see stable income from that.
Truthfully, my business plan looks very different right now since I do have a corporate job! My pay system would be a lot different if that was my source of income! I realize that I kind of just explained it in this video- I basically just pay myself the difference of what I need and try and live off of my corporate job as much as possible! Where is if I was self-employed I'll be paying myself a typical biweekly paycheque! It took me about four years to see a liveable income off social media, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be the same for everybody. I just preferred slow and steady growth over overnight success and I didn't really given to trends!
@@CarterSullivan yeah, that seems to be the consensus from others I spoke to as well…4 years. Loving your content. Keep it up girlie ❣️
I like the separate videos.
We love Factor! We switched over from HelloFresh because everything is microwavable. It's so good and my husband and I only have 1 each we don't like. And we've had 3 boxes so far. So idk if it's just us but they deliver your new box the day your last delivery expired. So our food in the first box expired 8/30 and the 2nd box was delivered that day so you don't have an empty fridge. I feel so much better eating this and it's one thing out my busy day. I still cook but with a family and job this is awesome
We got our first box this week and so far so good! I don't think we can afford to both this and Hello Fresh long term but it's great for busy weeks or being in a pinch! I love the convenience of these for lunches but think I still prefer cooking meals with Hello Fresh abit more! But this would be so great if you had kids and a busy job! We are lucky in the sense that we have a whole evening to cook!
i love your channel so much❤❤❤
Thank you 🥹❤️
Do you and Matt plan on continuing to budget this way when you're married or do you think you'll combine finances
We don't plan on combining finances when we are married! Never say never but that's the plan for now. We communicate very openly about our finances, savings, feelings about money etc- our motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Nothing wrong with combining finances of course just isn't for us right now!
Love your budget vids!!
Thank you!!! 🤍💸
How do you keep track of your categorized expenses throughout the month (esp if paid with a cc rather than debit or cash). I want to start using cc for expenses to earn points/rewards but also want to make sure I stay on top of what I’m spending. Thx so much!
Most budget spreadsheets have an expense tracker! And you can normally select how you paid for something. I sit down once every payday and track all my expenses in the expense tracker- 99% of my purchases are on credit so I just go through my credit card transactions!
@@CarterSullivan thank you! Downloaded your budget spreadsheet and excited to get started!
question for how you use your spreadsheet! do you put everything thats on your credit card in the same category? or are you able to divide it by category but show up as credit card🤔
In the expense tracker section you are able to pick the category and also which payment method you used (which credit card, cash, debit etc)!
Very Very helpful and interesting video Carter💓💫
Glad you think so!
@@CarterSullivan yes ofcourse it is very very helpful to me
16:31 can you do an video on how you and Matt are dealing with the living and food crisis.
For food we rarely eat at restaurants, price match our groceries & only do take out once a week (normally fast food). We buy our meat in bulk at Costco once a year and only buy produce thats on sale! We also found doing meal kit delivery service saved us money in the long run on groceries so we only buy groceries for breakfast/lunch/snacks. In terms of the "living crisis" we bought our house in 2021 during the crazy market here in Canada so while we have a very low interest rate we did buy our home for abit over asking! I can't really touch on the living crisis too much since we have owned our home for about two years now and before that we were renting from family thankfully for a very affordable price which allowed us to save aggressively for our house! Hope this answers your question!
It does thank you 🙏
Hiii! Sorry if I may have mislooked it but is this the same template from your ultimate template oneee? I love the monthly budget overview on the left side of ur screen
These are not the template I've created. These are ones that I bought off Etsy! But yes its the ultimate budget template that she sells!
Love this! By business do you mean RUclips? And do you have an LLC set up and that’s how you pay yourself?
Correct! In Canada its referred to as an Inc not LLC but same thing ☺️ I pay myself a dividend (changing amount) and not a bi-weekly pay check!
thanx a lot for this video, is there waY to share the spreadsheet. 🤩
Its always linked in the description!
Do you have a spreadsheet recommendation that you use for your business? Thanks!
I just made databases on Notion!
Hey Carter! I use this same budget spreadsheet and was wondering what the P1/P2 in the due date column of bills and subscriptions means?
Paycheck 1 & Paycheck 2! It's just a way for me to distinguish which bills I pay with which paycheque☺️
Thanks @@CarterSullivan! So then do you just put "P1" or "P2" as the due date on the BILLS & SUBSCRIPTIONS SETUP table of the "setup" tab?
@@alvaegardner I just switched out the due date column for it
Thanks @@CarterSullivan 😀
❤❤❤
Thats me Idk how to just save. I can save for something specific but Im horrible at doing like emergency savings. I dont have much debt thank God. But like my best friend she always has like a few thousands in her savings account and Im over here with like $50 trying to plan a trip to Mexico lol 😂.
