I can't believe I'm just now finding this..... You are all dedicated musicians.... Dedicated to the music and the magic of Kansas! Breathtaking cover and performance.... Len....
All of your stuff is really good guys. Very impressive, I've been a musician and a major Kansas fan, home team, so I've grown up with them and I have tremendous respect for them and their music and you have done them well. A rare and pleasant surprise. Awesome. And you go off into some very difficult songs that I love that weren't on the radio. I grew up in Kansas and grew old in Texas so don't let my name fool you. Kansas is one of my top three bands as far as respect and you earned mine tonight. Keep it up
I have to say you have to be so good to play this bands music Kerry writing is so tight. I have seen them at least 20 times. I have eat, sleep and know this music like the my right hand. when you guys going to Louisiana.
What an amazing cover! Everyone nailed it beautifully! Perfect execution of all those difficult passages. As a guitarist, I particularly love the guitar tone!
Beautiful job! It sounds great, down to the guitar tone. A group of talented musicians here. Trying to emulate this work really illustrates just how incredible Kansas really is
That's a TOUGH one vocally, a very nice effort put forth. The musicianship is great as well. Odd I was searching for Kansas stuff and landed on this cover. How about some stuff off the under-appreciated Masque LP as well? Those first three pre-Leftoverture albums have some real gems for songs. Thanks for sharing this. (From a long-time Kansas fan from WI)
Beautiful and professional job guys. With all due respect to Kansas Band, you really take this song up to a higher level. Keep on the good job. Uma from Samoa.
Wow, kudos getting together 6 talented musicians to play such challenging material. Not easy to do these days. I love Kansas and you guys did a great job
+rushyeskansas Love the handle! 3 of my fave bands. I'll bet we have the same record collection. KansAZ just did a show with a Rush tribute called Anthem. We're hoping to do more with them, great lineup for prog lovers.
+Robert Richards Thanks Robert, yeah my 3 favorite bands too. So glad that I could see them all playing live. Anyways I always enjoyed good tribute bands, when they are dedicated to do justice to the music of the originals, as it is the case with your band, really awesome! A friend of mine is playing with a californian YES Tribute band called "Awaken", also a fantastic band. Plz check my channel for our YES collabs where he is singing too. Greetz from Brazil Richie
+rushyeskansas : I was looking for Awaken on the internet but couldn't find anything. Are they currently playing? Do you have a link to any of their stuff? We're playing in SoCal in the fall.
I have loved this band and their music since 1977, and am possibly the biggest ‘Wheathead’ in the UK. And I have to say that cover was fantastic. I had just watched VirtualKansas perform this cover. They are unbelievably good, but this was not their finest hour. Too many un-Kansas musical flourishes with violin and guitar shredding. Vocals were not good. Contrast that effort with this, and it is no contest! I can’t believe how authentic the violinist was, along with the guitar and keyboards. It just sounded more like the great band than the other group. Vocals were not there really, but then whose are comparable to Walsh, and even Robby (RIP big man!) Only Anderson (Jon), Freddie and Brad are on that level! Brave attempt though so credit to the singer. Just a fabulous job.
Good hope they still doing it would like for them to come to speaking rock casino in El Paso Texas and do a show we used to have all kinds of tributes but the so far was Pink Tones damn they did the hole Animals album plus a bunch of other songs believe me I went to the restroom and it sound like the real band it was very impressive
You can just type in Kansas cover bands in the search. Start with checking out these guys. Their harmonies are done quite well. And IMHO, this guy can easily give Ronnie a run. He's no Steve, but then who is :-) ruclips.net/video/QAkSL4fpfvQ/видео.html
I know how live recordings can turn out , and it was most likely fine setting out front.. and not taking away from anyone.. the guitar was dominant over everything except the vocals.. the keys were like in the background.. but over all other than Kansas, you guys were killing it..
an amazing song done incredibly well by some obviously seasoned professionals, job well done! is it me or does the singer "kinda-sorta" look like reb beach?
I have a lot of respect for your work but Steve Walsh's singing is so unique, so warm, so effortless and spiralling towards a realm just few people can reach....But thank you for re-enacting this unparalleled american prog musicianship
Let's face it, no-one could touch the caliber of Steve Walsh back in his prime. The vocals here are pretty good; how about having your violinist Cathie King have a crack at lead vocal here?
"A" for effort. A true nightmare of a song for a cover band. If I'm being picky, I have to say I'm getting more Steve Perry than Steve Walsh, but there's only one Steve Walsh ( and Perry is no slouch). Great talent in this band and huge balls covering , imo, the greatest band of all time.
I think the best way to describe it right now is we're on Pandemic Hiatus. However, all our members are still very active in one project or another. With the money the way it is right now, it makes no sense to take time out of other people's money making projects to do a KansAZ gig. I have my fingers crossed for 2021. Thanks for listening/commenting.
BIG KANSAS FAN SINCE 70S.....THIS BAND IS AWESOME !!!!! THE SINGER NEEDS WORK.....STOP TRYING TO SING HEAVY METAL........ONLY WALSH CAN PULL THAT OFF .......
It may be her delay, but possibly my keyboard performance/delay is what you may be hearing since she and I are essentially playing the same line there. It's live music and we don't "fix in the mix" - what you see and hear are what you get :-). Appreciate your comment and complement!
A KANSAS tribute band is the ballsiest thing I have ever seen!!!!!
😂 100%. Them and Jethro Tull!
I can't believe I'm just now finding this..... You are all dedicated musicians.... Dedicated to the music and the magic of Kansas! Breathtaking cover and performance....

Love The First Kansas Album. This Band is Beyond Amazing !!! Pure Brilliance !!!
I like that this Kansas tribute band has a female violinist...you guys rock!
amazing a tribute.. LONG LIVE KANSAS !!
The key to this entire song is the violin ....and she is on point.
Bingo !!
May great music ‚Carry On‘! Fabulous!!! 🎉❤
WOW! You captured the spirit of the motherland !
I have never heard any band other then Kansas nail a Kansas song as hard as this. Expletive Awesomeness!
Thanks so much for the kind comments. It's one of our favorites
You can't cheat on this song. You have to be excellent musicians to pull it off. They pulled it off.
The band did an excellent job, violin and guitar was superb!
Outstanding!

Just like the original! Great job! I give you my best compliments.
I know Kerry Livgren----he would approve of this. It's spot-on.
Thanks so much for the kind comment!

Top notch across the board here. Love it, keep up the great music.
Such a great song done by musicians of the highest caliber. Hope I get to see you all live again one day.
Very nice guys. Very challenging vocal. Nice
Beautiful job! It sounds great, down to the guitar tone. A group of talented musicians here. Trying to emulate this work really illustrates just how incredible Kansas really is
Good job boys you are the best ln regards to the forefathers of Kansas great music. You make me feel young again after 60 years.
Wow!! Superb!!
Please come back to play in Tucson!
That's a TOUGH one vocally, a very nice effort put forth. The musicianship is great as well. Odd I was searching for Kansas stuff and landed on this cover.

Man I love this band!
Fantastic musicianship! Instruments are spot on! Steve Walsh is very tough to get down... good effort
Fantastic!
My Lord what a great song and amazing finish! THank you so much for keeping this tremendous music alive!
I've loved Kansas since jr high. Very well done! Great mix too. I could focus on any instrument throughout the song easily.
Very cool!
Stellar!
Beautiful and professional job guys. With all due respect to Kansas Band, you really take this song up to a higher level. Keep on the good job.

difficult song to play, great tribute
Come back too Tucson soon. It’s been way too long.
Brilliant performance!

+Robert Richards Hey Robert, check out their facebook there should be more infos: facebook.com/Awaken01/
+rushyeskansas Thanks a bunch! I sent them a message. They're actually playing in Phoenix in a couple months!
great job
Wow keren bngt, sulit dipercaya lagu yg susah ditiru, dicover dg sangat keren.

excellent
Great job guys! Also, very nice job on Rich's solo.. one of my favorites! Nice Xanadu ending too ;)
+RockinReeseBoyd Thank you! That you noticed the nod to Xanadu at the end shows you were listening. You know your prog, my friend.
Fantastici !
The first Kansas cover band I've ever heard of. Yall are darn good 👍
You can just type in Kansas cover bands in the search. Start with checking out these guys. Their harmonies are done quite well. And IMHO, this guy can easily give Ronnie a run. He's no Steve, but then who is :-) ruclips.net/video/QAkSL4fpfvQ/видео.html
Nice!
Other than the vocals...this band is is damn near spot on!
Not the easiest band on earth to cover for sure.
BRAVO 👏👏👏👏👏
Excellent
I liked it ~!
I know how live recordings can turn out , and it was most likely fine setting out front.. and not taking away from anyone.. the guitar was dominant over everything except the vocals.. the keys were like in the background.. but over all other than Kansas, you guys were killing it..
A very nice performance...just the rehearsals for this must have hard. And I love the "Xanadu" ending!
great

This song sung by a metal singer just doesn't work for me. He's got range but merely a metal singer.
Yup, a nice effort, but there’s zero shame in falling short of the super-human vocals of the Great Steve Walsh. He truly was untouchable in his prime.
You guys rocked this song, almost better then original.
Horseshoes and hand grenades, man. This is good, but let’s not get carried away.
@@crusheverything4449 hey,who cares,that's why I said Almost
I’m always amazed by people who spend so much time learning other artists material. This stuff is so so hard! Kansas? SMH
Excellent musicianship

We'll take it. Thanks for watching!
Is it me or does the singer seem to be a 1/4 step high on some parts of his vocals ? Anyone ?
Are you guys still together ???
I think the best way to describe it right now is we're on Pandemic Hiatus. However, all our members are still very active in one project or another. BIG KANSAS FAN SINCE 70S.....THIS BAND IS AWESOME !!!!! THE SINGER NEEDS WORK.....STOP TRYING TO SING HEAVY METAL........ONLY WALSH CAN PULL THAT OFF .......
He sounds Like Bruce Dickinson. I think that might be what he means.
Name the decade...Steve cannot be touched.
Great tribute. A tad rushed but quite good overall.
Brilliant cover! Is the violinist fretting the notes out of tune during the intro or is it the delay effect? *cringe
It may be her delay, but possibly my keyboard performance/delay is what you may be hearing since she and I are essentially playing the same line there. It's live music and we don't "fix in the mix" - what you see and hear are what you get :-). Appreciate your comment and complement!
Anyone interested, here's another - ruclips.net/video/LGQytB3wQMs/видео.html
Incredible ! Just like the recorded version except for the vocals which are damn good, but not Steve Walsh good .
Keys and violin are really good, guitar sound is abysmal and not even close, overall not bad musically, singer is not it.
Generic, but still sound ok.
Need a Singer, sounds like Don Dokken trying to sing Kansas! All whiny falsetto in the high, intonation not even close to Walsh!
Great job!!
Excellent
Great Job!!
