11 years and this is the first I’m seeing this. RUclips algorithm you have grievously failed me.
Truly a fantastic rendition of a very difficult and complicated song. I hope you guys are still going strong 11 years later.
Glad you found us... I have more Kansas covers on my channel.. Check em out sometime!!
Yes, it is so nice to hear it done right, especially the bass solo at 2:08. Sooooo good.
Thanks to everyone for your comments, really encourages us to continue working.
To my OurVirtualKansas fellows. I want to congratulate you all, you guys are the best, without a doubt!! I've said 1000 times, but I'm gonna say it again, I'm very proud to be part of these group of great musicians, scattered all over the world and joined thanks to technology. A huge Honor!!
Take care and God Speed you all,
Jorge
Unbelievable! Only makes you realize even more how brilliant Kansas was..
To all my friends in Ourvirtualkansas, I wanted to say "Thanks" for including me in another musical endeavor! But there is someone who stands out on this video................. and it's each one of you!!!
Proud and horored to work with you all, keeping the Spirit of the Plains Alive!!
Can't wait for the next project!
Len
Can't say all I want to with 500 char. Want to thank everyone that has, are, and will view this. This is such an honor for me to be playing with such a fine and talented group of musicians. Also the friendships we have formed is such a blessing. To keep the music of Kansas alive is my dream. I swear to never let that die. Thanks again to George,Roland,Jorgeviolin,Jorgeguitar,Ron,&Len. But most importantly thank you Phil,Steve,Kerry,Dave,Rich&Robby for the original....... Magnum Opus. Jerry
Jorge Ortal on Violin..... Breathtaking...
Once again only outstanding music came from the 70's. Not the crap you hear today!
#DiscoSucks
This is outstanding. I like the bubble sequence. Nice touch. Damn, I must have listened to Leftoverture hundreds of times over the years. This song is just so amazing.
Amazing. And also it was great to hear the reference to the great Robbie Steinhardt usual goodbye: “thank you so much for listening…
”
BRILLIANT! Probably commented on this already, a long time ago, but needed to again. My favorite Kansas tune. Great job, everyone! Can't believe that one moron didn't like it.
Dave Hope would have been proud, bass solo not only note for note, but tone and phaser and every inflection dead on. Great pick work as well. Liked the the more classical style violin, combination Steinhardt and Ragsdale at the consortium. Keyboardist reminded of Neal Morse. This is a 10 out of 10 on this opus, as a demanding piece of music to get right, much less just to play. Great performance from every musician involved. Thank you for your insightful, hard work.
Speaking for all of us..... Thanks so much!!! We hope to make more videos again someday......
+Fred and Patty Chandler This comment was dead on.
I love Neal and all his work. You're right their playing is kinda similar
Beautifully done. A very good job. You guys may me feel young again at 64 yes. Thanks for keeping the spirit of great Kansa alive. Ula
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blown Away.
@OcalaMusician Thanks for your nice comments Neal. Dave Hope played a Fender Precision on the early albums, but think I got pretty close with my Jazz bass. Put on Rotosound roundwounds and lowered the action to get a little fret buzz that Hope got. Love the sound of your Rickenbacker. Sometimes those sound a little thin in the bottom end, but you've got it down and really get it to growl. Thanks again and all the best on your future projects. Ron.
Brilliant. I love this. You guys get it. It's all from the heart. 10/10
Been a Kansas fan most of my life I cant believe what I`m watching .. bit better than brilliant , I clicked on and thought OK another group trying to play magnum opus .. this is good almost too damn good !
Thanks from all of us!!
That was ridiculously good. Bravo guys.
Covering the album version?? Apparently child's play! Nope, we're gonna do the LIVE version! Too freakin' cool. You guys are absolutely awesome. Period.
Jeff Mays Thanks, Jeff....Kansas is truly in a league of their own...
@WishpoolVocal Thanks Al. It's always good to see our former "members" peeking in and leaving positive comments. It's almost as if we were one big family ;)

Wow baby, thank you for sending me this video. You are right, it is extra special, as you are in my live. Much love my silentdrummer.
Man totally awesome!! These guys are REAL musicians. Outstanding cover of a musically complex piece. So true to the original Kansas song! I hope these brothers are on tour, because if anyone could do a Kansasmania tour, it's these guys! Bravo to the musical maestros!!
Damn! Vocals are sweet! Steve would be proud.
Thank You!
you guys sound amazing!! I'm a big fan of kansas... I'm a keyboard player in a progressive rock tribute band and I would play with you guys anytime!!!
I missed Robbie Steinhart's Violin playing till, I seen this Video and the others! Journey from Mariabrown, Songs for America. That Violin player is Great too !

You are all fantastically talented and Great ! Love it! Do more Kansas for us Die Hard Kansas fans that, can not find another band like them! Thank You for the ride back in time! There music and lyrics was so Great. You are all really talented ! All of you
What an awesome job.. to play that song in a live band with players that can hang , would be the end of my bucket list.. oh.. who does the final mix for ya'll.. as good as he is , the violinist is way to strong in the mix , knowing the song the way I do , I'm wanting to hear ever part and it's hard when one instrument is blasting like that.. but I love it , I've saved it , and subscribed to the channel.
You Guys Rocked this was superb all the awesome 😎 instruments were spot on so groovy Kansas has gotten some of the very finest instrumentals in Rock history. And what makes their 🎵 music even better are the Synthesizers and Organ sounds thanks guys for 🎴 ⏯️ playing this song so awesome.
EPIC! What an intro! Jorge's best guitar work yet. Everyone picked the perfect sounds for this one. Another truely amazing vid and music. Enjoyed every minute of it. Will watch again and again.

This is incredible guys ....You captured it fully !! A beautiful tribute from the heart . You could not give anymore of yourselves as a fan of Kansas... This is a pure reflection for what Kansas has done for each of you.
Dave .
Wow.....I’m literally speechless....If y’all ever need another “virtual” Bassman/long time Kansas fan, I’d be down to play a couple of tracks from here in New Orleans. Holla at me 😉
I doubted too. No more three ;-). Very very cool!!!! I especially like the synth solo towards the end! Very authentic and impulsive! Keep on spreading the word! In 200 years Kansas will be referred to as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, I'm sure... Thanx a lot !!!
A lot to love here. Great job. 10 years ago ? Wow !
Man that was awesome... seen them 4 times back in the late 70s and early 80s one of my favorite bands.

This music was released 25 frigging years ago and these guys are blowing it away. I fucking love it!!!
Your math is a little off but I get your point. This was over 46 years ago when this album came out
😂😂😂😂😂 Try over 44years ago!
Another great cover from you guys!
Now I'm in a hurry to share with friends.

A true masterpiece of music, masterfully played by real pros and fans at the same time! BRAVISSIMO to all!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An outstanding performance, dudes!
@TheDrumChannel Hey Joe, thanks very much for your compliments! Have a Happy New Year buddy.
100% loved it all but the actual howling.
Wow...! I know how hard a virtual band can be, but this is fantastic! All instruments played a great role, none overwhelming the other. Would listen again.
@Dan441734 Thanks for your kind words Dan. And the goose bump factor....now that's a big time compliment in my book. Hope your elbow is on the mend so you can get back to cranking out some more Rush projects. Ron.
Yeah, this is a worthy cover. Rock it!
Jorge - You sir are a very talented person. It takes many years to do that and you make it look so easy. Just great. The bass sound in this video is just over the top. I love the sound quality you guys are getting. Really impressive because this is not easy music to play. Great job fellas!
Kurvafix,parádní cover,jen tak dál..super amazing !!!
Excellent! You guys aren't leaving anything on the studio room floor. It's all coming out in the performance! You've become an all star line-up with these recordings. I love the intro! The 3-2-1 part is intense! I also like seeing the Leslie spinning in the background of George's window. Gives me that warm Hammond/ Leslie feeling from the old days. Keep em coming boys.
@fraroc Thanks very much for your compliment :) Well, this intro was composed for this particular cover and as you said, the only part I took from Ragsdale intro was at 1:36 (1:09 Ragsdale's YT vid) Maybe, what you felt was the different key patches and chords used by George, our keyboardist, and Steve Walsh's, but the leitmotiv remained. We all agreed that making our own intro would add our personal touch to this masterpiece by Kansas :)
Jorge, violinist
Saw Kansas 2 weeks ago playing with a symphony here in Utah. Loved it when they played this. You guys sounds great!
I was a doubter. No more. Really, really good job guys.
........cause rockin' and a rolling..........its only howling at the moon. Great video, audio and FANTASTIC job by all of you! Kickin' ass Ron! My first concert in my life was Kansas---Monolith tour.Also..........I got the goose bumps at 9:12
Applause!!! Masters at work here! Beautifully done fellas. I worked up a sweat watching and listening :D Bravo to all!
@PIPIPISTA Thanky you so much, István!
I have always been a Kansas fan ever since I was a real young kid and found an uncles Point of Know Return album which I was instantly hooked, other vinyls followed shortly after. This video is incredible. Almost expect to see Jorge with an eye patch, and when playing violin sporting a huge beard, and the one playing Kerry on keyboards wearing a kimono. This just doesnt get much better...
Well done
